Depends on your political beliefs I guess. If so then vote Labour.

I'm against them - but it's naive to expect a business to not use something that is totally legal. And I'm strongly against the hypocrisy - 99% of people outraged over this wouldn't boycott a product they liked/needed over the use of zero hour contracts.

fwiw - P&G sack people for not being available for overtime.

I just cba with all the nonsense about this being the worst season ever. Newcastle have had the worst season ever about 15 of the last 20 years.

Imagine pretending to care about any of them incidents. JFK fighting Phil Brown is still the best - during a 3rd round replay exit to Hull reserves (Newcastle were at full strength) Those where the glory days of course.

Not like the banter when Shearer hospitalised Keith Gillespie. On the way Newcastle drifting from Title contenders to mediocrity with a woefully past it John Barnes the top goalscorer with 6 goals. Those where of course the glory days.

Bit of a hard one to judge - Bournemouth have had money and always had an upward trajectory about them. He came unstuck at Burnley though.

imo his CV is less impressive than Dyche or Lambert's was at the point of promotion.

That's exactly what we are. The fact that we've finished 9th with Rhodes and Gestede in the team is absolutely criminal, and makes me wonder if we can only come 9th when we do have them, next season will be frightening when we'll probably be without them both.

Strikers normally are somewhat replaceable.

Watford went from Vydra to Deeney to Ighalo being red hot.
Ipswich from McGoldrick to Murphy
Newcastle from Carroll to Best to Ba to Cisse to Ba to Remy to Cisse.

I'm sure Scott McDonald or Leigh Griffiths or Noel Hunt will score 20 next year.....

Fair enough.

I'm more talking about the decision to play him. - When they seem to not want to say that Sunderland have made the wrong decision. And are sticking strictly to facts and club statements.

Could well be for legal reasons tbf.

Can't believe Sunderland are going to play him.

Evening Chronicle suspiciously quiet on this - Local media spend all their fucking time writing about how Sunderland are a community club who have such a link with their fans.

Obviously playing a guy who has just been charged with grooming isn't as morally reprehensible as not approaching Rafa Benitez.

It is crazy how we constantly talk of being unable to grow revenue streams when we're handing free advertising out though.

tbh the revenue brought in from selling that space probably isn't that much. Man City are getting £40m a year for everything - And that's probably on the higher end of the value. And it is probably less than the finance costs involved if Ashley did charge interest. People always accuse Ashley of being ruthless I'm sure if Newcastle were offered a large sum of money he would take it. ie if he wanted he could have donated the shirt and kit sponsorship deals if he wanted to - but I'm guessing he would rather have the Wonga/Puma cash.

On a related note - Pardew was talking about the NE being a depressed area and indicated that was a major stumbling block. There is no investment in the region and that extends to football.

But I digress - the point I was making is no one can mention Newcastle without Spots Direct being mentioned. They've probably increased their public visibility a lot. They can't resist showing a picture of the Sports Direct logos next to the Newcastle sign. More national attention tomorrow in the press and on television.

When y'know the more effective way to deal with it is to never mention it. Ignore it.'Just don't look'.

There's been no evidence of a nightclub involved - or which nightclub. It's weird apologist bollocks of defending him. It's not even Sunderland fans which would be at least understandable.

I just put in Twitter 'Adam Johnson nightclub' And there is loads of tweets claiming she should be sent to jail. And a lot of tweets saying 'what was he supposed to do' like men can't take any personal responsibility or agency on the matter.

The reaction of this is depressing, from Sunderland fans blindly defending him to Newcastle fans attempting some sort of moral high ground.

And weirdly twitter's reaction of blaming the girl. Why has everyone decided this happened in a nightclub?

A much more accurate look at the finances - than the mainstream football press has published.

Newcastle's problems still arise from the issue of being unable to increase commercial revenue.

The 'mystery' rise in expenses is increased wage budget and amortisation. Completely forgot about the bonuses paid for top ten tbh.

Absolutely deluded if they think 16'000 would boycott. Imagine if you had a ticket and didn't want to go and didn't give it to a mate, because you wanted to boycott instead.

A lot more people there than in the all important cup games that people feel so passionate about. The cup games you dream about.

They're not really exaggerated - just goes off tickets sold rather than physical attendance. - The difference on a normal week will be what? 50?

My friend once attended a meeting and said that all the little factions sat in groups apart from each other. Remember last time when they couldn't decide which minute to (not) walk out on? imo all 'they' want is attention anyway. They all seem absolutely desperate to get in the papers. Michael Martin and Steve Wraith in particular.

Pardew normally put out a team to win in the cups. It's a myth he got knocked out on purpose. They were just often rubbish. Brighton away was the only time I can remember when I thought he wouldn't mind too much to get knocked out. Brighton 1, Cardiff and Stevenage he definitely went into win, the team just fucked up as they often do in the League.

George Caulkin is a wank. It's all emotive bollocks which treats Newcastle fans as stupid.

From trophy to atrophy: We didn't have any fucking trophies anyway. And the clubs is deluded enough not to actually celebrate the ones we have won. You'd literally have to be 50+ to remember the last time Newcastle won a cup. And despite reaching the final - Gullit and Dalglish were sacked. Souness was never viewed as a good manager despite his very good cup record. Keegan's poor cup record is overlooked. Pardew reaching the QF twice in the last 3 years is completely buried.

Over the last couple of years, Newcastle have made me want to turn away. From this loveless club, this lack of access and openness: Sir John Hall used to take us on holiday. Now they've stopped the spread in the press room.

He's a complete bellend. Mentions Keegan and Shearer, doesn't mention all of the years in the second division, or most of the time in the top flight doing no better than currently.

Seriously sounds like he's going to start talking about American Pie and the America he used to know.

Talking about how Newcastle are like a family - Newcastle actually keeping tickets (more) affordable than a lot of top flight clubs is fundamentally more important than anything else. What is the point of success or a trophy if you can't afford to go or be a part of it? If I was an Arsenal or West Ham fan I'm not so sure my dad would have been so willing to take me, and therefore nowhere near as connected to the club. Seriously I would rather watch John Carver lead Newcastle to midtable safety in League 1 then not watch Newcastle compete in the Champions League.

But then again most of the people boycotting wont be going anyway.

It was crushed by what was exposed as a Tory funded smear campaign. If anything but FPTP is in play in this country then Conservatives and Labour would finally be at risk of losing power.

Yep. AV lost. The electorate didn't want reform.

In part because of the fact if was AV though. The Tories specifically pushed for that being the PR system up for referendum for that exact reason.

A lot of people who wanted PR voted against AV because it wasn't a great system, I always thought that was self defeating but there you go.

I find it unlikely that people who want PR or AV+ would prefer FPTP to AV. Which was the only offer on the table.

I've only really ever used my xbox 360 and xbox one to play FIFA which is probably quite sad. Never got into other games really, although I did play EA Sports UFC for about a week at one stage and got really into it. Think I'll game more when I get back to working, in between that and going the gym!!

This. Glad my FIFA15 disc broke.

Sort of miss the days of anticipating new game releases, and reading reviews and previews.

Ninja obviously isn't a fan of FPTP and the situations it creates. And to be frank, anyone who actually likes FPTP is either an idiot or an arsehole.

Even if the party you vote for has no chance of winning, your vote is still a validation of their policies.

67% of people rejected AV. It got crushed.

FFP is more complex than that I think.

Read the other week that from TV rights clubs can only increase their wage budget by £4m per season or roughly £80kpw - Which isn't a lot. - Although on further reading it's increased to £8m this year and £12m for next. So should be alright.

Krul/Darlow/Elliot/Woodman - Fine imo.

Janmaat/New young RB
Dummett/Haidara - Fine
Colo/Williamson/Taylor/Lascellas - Need one CB - two would be nice. Or if they're going with Dummett at CB a new starting LB.

Tiote/Abeid - Get rid of Tiote, bring in new DM please
Colback/De Jong/Sissoko/Anita - Get rid of Sissoko, bring in new two new CM's, can't see anyone wanting Anita.

Cabella/Ameobi/Obertan/Gouffran/Aarons - Two new Wingers

Cisse/Perez/Riviere/Ferrerya - Need an alternative to Cisse as Perez still looks too lightweight

Would like to see Tom Cleverly brought in as the first signing. Andre Ayew is supposedly good but I imagine he'll get somewhere better. Did like the look of Krohn-Dehli when I saw him play but that link seems to have died, apparently away to Sevilla.

No idea how good the likes of Mitrovic, Schar etc are. But I hope that whoever does the scouting actually looks at their suitability for the PL and Newcastle. Linked with Demarai Gray again and I do like him though.
