MATCHDAY 27
Awful, awful, awful. Dead rubber game ended in another walloping. Three down after half an hour, there was no way back. Dino Cosic and Novak Spasic may have scored some delightful goals but with the damage already done, it meant nothing. I just hope our opponents in the relegation playoff are even more incompetent than us.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
The only light to shed on this month was the cup victory (our first win of the year might I add). The rest? I wouldn't be surprised if fans started to boycott...
FINAL LEAGUE TABLE
Where did it all go wrong? Only four wins all season, losing seventeen in a miserable 2041. Petrovac may have gone down with only one win all season, but they lost fewer games than us(!). Relegation playoff it is..

MATCHDAY 26
I mean if we play like this in the cup final, we're truly goosed as Budućnost stroll to their fourth consecutive league title. They methodically set up base camp in our half all game and credit to us we withstood a heavy storm in the first half to stand our ground. That was only a prelude to a hurricane to which we had no shelter. Arsenijevic, Nikolic, Kandic and finally Dragicevic applying finishes to submissively give in. It confirmed our fate in the relegation playoff, something we may not even be prepared for.

MATCHDAY 25
A nice slapping dose of reality after being in cloud cuckoo land for a few days. It's as if the league terrifies our defenders because both goals were open invitations - Jankovic rounding the goalkeeper firstly and credit to Jelicic, it was a fine finish for the second but with five defenders surrounding him and backing off, he had ample time to place it in the top corner from an acute angle. Worrying lack of inspiration as we stare down the barrel of a pistol fight in the relegation playoffs.

SEMI FINAL, SECOND LEG (AWAY)
Well blow me down and call me Ophelia, we're in a cup final! Bokelj threw it away, missing key opportunities that we in contrast took. Mikica Djuric missed a sitter in the first half, immediately making amends in the second to leave us in an uphill climb. It almost became worse if it weren't for Nikola Crmelj on the line to avoid going two down. Dejan Veselinovic became the hero at the 11th hour, equalising and then overturning the aggregate score and sending the away stand into raptures. Credit also to Milosavljevic for the two sublime passes for the two goals.
FINAL DRAW
We're going to have to pull something mighty out of our hats to topple Budućnost. Expect the unexpected?

MATCHDAY 24
Expected, Grbalj weren't letting us pipsqueaks gatecrash their title ambitions. Two well-taken, powerful first half goals made us look meek for the entirety of what was left on the clock. We're looking more and more bereft of confidence with every passing match. SOS.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
League form, nightmarish. Cup form, reasonably decent. No idea what has happened to us since the end of December, we're STILL winless in 2041.
LEAGUE TABLE
Three games left, three points from absolute safety. The Mornar defeat and Petrovac draw cost us dearly. Still, it's not over until the last fan has stopped chanting. So who are my next three oppositions?
MAY 2041 FIXTURES
Utterly screwed. Third, first and fourth. Guess we might as well focus on making a cup final?

MATCHDAY 23
A draw that feels like a big defeat. Petrovac are heading down but they want to take us with them, replying to Zeljko Kostic's first half goal for a share of the spoils. Only took 26 seconds upon restarting for Popovic to head in the equaliser. Perhaps we ended up lucky not to lose, Petrovac striking the post in the last quarter to deny them a comeback. We're staring into the abyss now.

I swear Gavrilovic has muscles made out of wet toilet paper. Our unit between defence and midfield is unhinged.
GRUPA CRNA GORA
SEMI FINAL, FIRST LEG (HOME)
A lot better, yet puts us in an uphill battle going to their back garden. Igor Dashuk getting off the mark from the spot to cancel Bokelj's third minute opener. Suddenly, we had something serious to cheer about when Veselinovic turned the tie around, tapping in Milosavljevic's cross for 2-1. Sadly the game was not won, an unfortunate incident with second choice keeper Vukovic saving a near post effort by Vavic late on, but too much pace on it to fully keep it out - colliding with the post to slip it's way over the line. Sets up a very interesting second leg, Bokelj coming away with two away goals makes the task that little bit harder.

MATCHDAY 22
Shambolic. This was lazy and brainless defensive organisation if I've ever seen it. Three down by the half hour, two from set pieces and we were toast. To my credit, the HT team talk inspired Zeta incrementally, Dmitry Volkov reducing arrears. Mikhail Kurlovich so nearly cut their lead shorter, but failed to beat the strong, 6'3" Ristic at the near post. All hope was lost with Curicic delivering the final blow, Perovic barely tried to keep it out. The miserable run continues - eight games since we've tasted victory.

MATCHDAY 21
Another poor afternoon for us, sliced and diced by Mornar to sink into the relegation playoff spot. I'm not sure if our defence were taking the piss or whether their centre back's pass into Lopicic was pure genius but a two touch play fired them into a half time lead. Came out of our shell a little after the break but Mornar continued to pile pressure for a second, Perovic to thank for the scoreline remaining the same. The red card for Nikola Crmelj ended our resistance and Milos Pavlovic struck home a second bullet into our hearts, leaving us in a proper conundrum.

MATCHDAY 20
You didn't have to guess twice about which side of the table these two were on. Awful game full of caginess, neither side looking like breaking topsoil. Bokelj racked up the shots, but nothing to worry Perovic and we wouldn't worry anyone in an anxiety help clinic.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
It was a shocker of a month, two points from twelve and still to win this year. Only one goal to show too.
LEAGUE TABLE
7th is definitely the ceiling for us at this late stage, seven games remain to scrap it out with Bokelj and Mornar. Petrovac look doomed.
APRIL 2041 FIXTURES
Next up is Mornar incidentally and a must win. The Petrovac game is key too while the other two we'll try our best to grind out results (lack of ambition as you can tell, but we're on our knees). First leg of the cup semi on the horizon too, dare I risk fielding a full strength team before the Petrovac game?

MATCHDAY 19
Deflated sighs as I left Tresnjica, feeling somewhat apprehensive in a narrow defeat to Dečić. Perovic will cringe when watching the replays back leading to the only goal, coming for a 50/50 ball only to be mugged right off by Dejan Langura who rounded him in disgusting smugness. Veselinovic won't be feeling too hot either, squandering a one on one plus another effort into the side netting in the last five minutes to leave with nothing. Worrying times.

MATCHDAY 18
At last, a good result while counting our lucky stars simultaneously. The expression "playing the whistle" might have come in handy when conceding first, our defence let their guard down when they felt a foul should have been given in the build up, Mujanovic punished them heavily. Our BATE loanee Kurlovich made headlines for the wrong reason as he missed a glorious effort to perhaps level things before half time but instead skewed wide. For all our efforts we deserved something and Volkov sealed his maiden goal in style, from range looping a shot over the keeper and into the top corner with a handful of minutes to play. Sutjeska might have snatched the lead once more, the post coming to the rescue. Important point.

YOUTH INTAKE

MATCHDAY 17
Boy, nobody saw that coming /sarcasm. Budućnost toyed with us all game before letting out the lethal touch. Rade Aleksic was the difference maker with a goal and an assist for Arsenijevic before Rajkovic shunted in a third for good measure. Miles ahead in quality and stood no chance.

MATCHDAY 16
Reeling in the new year in the same way we ended it, with our face down in the mud. Even with Mladost's man disadvantage midway through the second half, we never looked like scoring. Zeljko Jelicic bamboozled us twice with questionable defending on both occasions. None of the new boys had any sort of impact off the bench.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
Nothing to see here.
LEAGUE TABLE
The good news is that none of the sides below us lost, the bad news is Dečić winning their match to stretch the gap from 6th place to five points.
MARCH 2041 FIXTURES
Difficult run of games next month. Dečić and Bokelj are the bread in the Zeta sandwich, both games could be vital to our season outcome. The others I won't hold my breath.

TRANSFERS
IN
Took the opportunity to strengthen some key areas while injuries were stacking up. You can derive from the following, we mainly scouted one nation in particular for our investments.
Igor Dashuk - M(C) - free transfer from YuAS
A stoop in creative quality within the midfield lately, Igor can throw his hat in the ring to help out. Number of strong skills he brings to the table; team player, athletic and an experienced visionary. Nemanja Antic could learn a lot from this guy. One of three new Belorussian recruits.
...speaking of Antic though.
The tutoring may have to wait.
Dmitry Volkov - ST(C) - free transfer from Zhdanovichi
With Veselinovic the only striker delivering goals, Volkov's youthful determination might take the tally up. 15 finishing at this early stage could be useful, but to act as a target man with only 9 jumping reach is asking a bit much. Needs a bit of a role change to become a little bit more well rounded.
Mikhail Kurlovich - M(L)/AM(L) - end of season loan from BATE
Bred through one of Belarus' strongest side's youth academy, this winger has a platform to obtain first team experience. Hoping his quickness and crossing will be enough to get by since he doesn't have much else. Risky punt, but he may fit in this setup.
FRIENDLIES
Not a solid set of results, however we did score at least one goal and it was one of the newbies.
Just after getting back to full fitness, Gavrilovic has only gone and busted himself again. Dashuk might be starting much sooner than we thought.

MATCHDAY 15
Football is a cruel sport. Our seven match unbeaten run savagely ended deep into injury time by Grbalj's Danijel Radmanovic. Granted, Grbalj deserved their win but unfair on Perovic who yet again saved our skins. Adding insult to injury, we immediately went down the other end to make the game impartial yet the crossbar stood in our way. The worst part? We have to stew with this until after the winter break.
Merry f*cking Christmas.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
Seems like all our efforts have been wasted following the Grbalj result. Even overshadows our dramatic comeback at Petrovac. Let's hope it has no negative knock-ons.
LEAGUE TABLE
7th is definitely our lucky place, dangling above the drop as ever. Petrovac will probably be gone before then, avoiding 9th is the next objective after the new year.

QUARTER FINAL, SECOND LEG (HOME)
Slight jitters, but booked our place in the semis thanks to a slender second leg victory. Crvena Stijena talked a big fight but couldn't finish, throwing any good opportunities that came their way. Dino Cosic ended any hope of a giantkilling, driving an effort home in the 81st minute. A cup final may, just may be on the horizon.
SEMI FINAL DRAW
At last, some competition with fellow league rivals Bokelj.

Call me a tactical mastermind, overturning a 2-0 half time deficit to have the last laugh. Petrovac were winless going into the game yet somehow pulled a fast one on us, countering two free kicks and leaving with the same outcome..in the back of our net. Dino Cosic off, bring Veselinovic on - what happens next? Straight on the scoresheet to grab a way back into the game. From that point Petrovac crumbled and Zeljko Kostic erased their lead to make a proper game of it seven minutes after the first. The bottom side officially shot themselves in the foot, giving away a penalty with twenty minutes left and leaving Nemanja Antic to complete a marvellous comeback.
Managerial inspiration. Not my words.
Veselinovic and Antic into team of the week. Antic really is becoming a massive prospect.

MATCHDAY 13
Late drama with two wonderful strikes, putting the opening 69 minutes to shame. Lazar Curcic handed Rudar the lead with a splendid top corner finish but what Curcic can do, Antic can do better. The 18 year old deliver a mammoth strike just eight minutes later to take a share of the points - a goal almost worthy of a winner in itself. Rudar may have restored their lead but the crossbar came to the rescue from Milisavljevic's six yard header. Roganovic saw red late on but time was too scarce to unbalance proceedings.
Antic and Barsukov drafted into team of the week with stellar performances.
Came as no surprise that both goals featured in goal of the week, Antic takes the bacon though. Thoroughly deserved on video evidence.

More defensive worries, Hrustanovic out until next year. Time for another makeshift back four.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
Best month at Zeta thus far, not one defeat! Grinding out strategic narrow results with three different scorers chipping in. Five in a row unbeaten in all comps.
LEAGUE TABLE
A prettier sight to the previous month, hoisting ourselves out of trouble temporarily. Need to continue this hopefully to the end of the calendar year.

MATCHDAY 12
It'll be rare that you hear me say that we'll be the more disgruntled of the two sides, we were dominating Mornar but couldn't bulge the net. Veselinovic had one of those days, missing three key chances - two of which saved by Cokic. Without doubt Nikola Spasic had the best opportunity, just needed to sidefoot past the keeper from ten yards but instead sidefooted past the post instead. Two points lost, but a good shout out to Orlandic taking man of the match, standing in for the injured Mandic.

QUARTER FINAL, FIRST LEG (AWAY)
Much like the Ibar first leg, quality over quantity. A welcome return to match fit Vitaly Barsukov who managed the only goal of the game from the penalty spot, duping the keeper into diving the wrong way. Not much else occurred and puts us well in the driving seat for leg 2 with an away goal for good measure.

Well there's a nice surprise, finally tasting victory late on against Bokelj. The visitors came closest in the first half with a header onto the crossbar and threw away another good effort in the second, Perovic swatting away Babenko's close range effort. The goal came from the substitute Rakotoharimalala (aka the Madagascar kid) after nifty footwork down the right by Veselinovic and squared it perfectly to him with thanks to a slight deflection to take it over the line. First win in six, fire in the belly now.

SECOND ROUND, SECOND LEG (HOME)
At least we're progressing in the cup, easing past Ibar in the second leg. On loan Milosavljevic is tempting me to make it permanent with a lovely connection to Jovanovic's cross to open the scoring. Our friend from Madagascar delivered a lovely free kick to send us 2-0 ahead at the break. Fuad Terzic 1UP'd that free kick, a stunning strike from 35 yards gave Ibar a memento before Kostic closed the case. Quarter finals here we come.
QUARTER FINAL DRAW
Talk about luck of the draw, another third tier side in the shape of Crvena Stijena give us increasingly good odds to making the semi finals.
RESULTS OVERVIEW
A nice start and end to the month with some calamity in the middle. League form is pretty woeful at this minute. If only wins in the cup counted towards our points tally.
LEAGUE TABLE
Sliding into the relegation playoff zone, seven points from ten games. Is it time already to wave the white flag?

MATCHDAY 10
I mean we're dead certain to struggle to keep our heads above water, failing to clench on to a lead for more than fifteen minutes. Veselinovic got on the scoresheet again, but Kukolj wiped the grins on our faces pretty quickly, sneaking past two defenders to poke home a through ball. The winning goal epitomised how incompetent we are in both positioning and trying to win a ball - coming straight from the keeper's boot, free flicked header into Dejan Langura to dribble past cones and sidefoot it into the corner. It's increasingly difficult to see positives in a negative when things are rapidly going wrong.

MATCHDAY 9
Point proven. Sutjeska danced all over us. One person I do feel sorry for is our keeper Perovic, having to play lifesaver to keep the score down. Patchy defensive nonsense led to all three goals, Mujanovic with a brace while we didn't even come close to putting something away. Happy 700 games, this one might not make the managerial montage.
