Using lasso tool is extremely limiting and tends not to produce the best results.

I personally prefer using Vertus Fluid Mask (quick YouTube video link here). With straight-forward sources such as this one, it produces good cuts with plenty of hair detail without taking a lot of time

Swedie also produced a brief tutorial with the Refine Edge technique, which is an equally valid method of getting a good cut

In the time it took me to post this, I've made a quick cut using Vertus; attached

@dummemikkel @mons I think this is a better source. The lighting is a bit better + large enough for 250x250.

The first one is a bit better imo.

What technique you using? Best to start off with simpler cuts of large-resolution sources on plain backgrounds to be honest
