Handball as well but I suppose Demba Ba done the same down at their place.

He seems to score whenever he comes on, must wonder what he's gotta do to start a game.

According to former Swindon and Manchester City man Kevin Horlock, Swindon manager Paolo Di Canio was at the County Ground until late last night helping to clear the pitch of snow.

He then forked out to buy pizzas for everyone who helped. Brilliant.

I've been revising all evening so had to listen to the Arsenal game on 5 Live, but it sounded like we dominated the second half and that Jack Wilshere was superb. Delighted to be through and I really hope we give the FA Cup a good go this year.

Also, how about this for a block;

How about that for a miss more like!

Should have had 4/5 so deserved to go through, Brighton will be much tougher.

Firstly, I don't agree with the way Chelsea and City operate but then again, I'm just a bitter Arsenal fan. Secondly, there's no threat of either of those clubs going under - yes, they may post huge losses, but as they're guaranteed Champions League money and other large revenue streams it's not particularly risk. QPR are adopting an approach that could well be disastrous if they are relegated, of which there is a high possibility. It's reckless spending that could cause them huge problems in the long term.

I agree with all of it, but the start of the season was meant to be the beginning of something great for them, sadly Fernandez didn't realise just how shit Hughes is in the transfer market and the rest is history. The exact same thing 'could' have happened to CIty as well, but they signed players of quality (like Remy and possibly M'Vila) and put a TEAM together that wanted just one thing, to win. QPR don't have that at the moment, but they will get that mentality under Redknapp and i do believe they will stay up. It is indeed a massive gamble spending even more money and as we all know its one that could horrendously back like Portsmouth who you've already mentioned. We're not gonna know until the end of the season and if it does go wrong we can all laugh at them then, but i think that the gamble indeed pay off this time.

So to me it appears that its ok for clubs like Chelsea and Man City to buy the title, but not ok for QPR to buy their Premier League existence. Strange.

What's so funny? QPR are paying below average players superstar wages and he's saying that a club of that size obviously shouldn't be doing so.

Because a few people want them down, everyone just joins in.

I can't imagine Newcastle United not having that in contracts either or the majority of other Premier League clubs who couldn't afford to go down and still be paying Premier League wages.

He's joining a club bottom of the league at the halfway stage, not at the start when anything can happen. He wants his assurances he won't be playing in a lower division next season. Its a gamble on QPR's part that this player will help fire them to safety come May, where they can once again and certainly with a little more common sense plan and build a side (with Remy) that is more than capable of staying in the Prem. If they go down, the gamble may have failed but at least they have saved themselves a extra £4m or so on the wage budget.

Perhaps you've not heard of players having their wages cut in that circumstance.

Much better idea than a player you've spent £8 million on in January leaving for free in June.

I think that its pretty obvious he wouldn't accept an offer like that, i wouldn't either.

Fair enough. I hope the FA will use this as a precedent now and give similar treatment to all players who tackle like that rather than caving in because there was a public backlash.

I'm fairly certain it wasn't a public backlash that changed their minds, just the action replay button. Even the player on the end of the tackle didn't complain and in all fairness it appeared as if Wilshere thought he was the one in trouble for landing on Kompany. I'd also like to add that it was nice to see a player be honest, rather than roll around on the floor trying to get the opposition man sent off.

True about Ba but at the time, the clause was not that well known, if at all. It felt like a deliberate ploy to unsettle us by nicking our best performing player and saying he could do it on the cheap for good measure, which was excessively unprofessional and was naturally ignored by the Premier League.

I'm pretty sure most clubs would have known about it, long before any of us.

Will Vida or Evra get the second goal do you think? I'd give it to Evra as if that hit a Scouse defender then it wouldn't be an OG.

His header wasn't going in.
