One season down and another season is on the horizon meaning we had to look into improving the squad to improve our title big this year. However it was set to be a hard summer after so many pieces of news and the clubs financial state let alone the amount of players at the club!
Once again the board expect promotion and I feel if I don't do it this year then I probably wouldn't get the chance of earning promotion as the board will probably part company with me. We have been given a transfer budget of just four pounds, yes four pounds whilst our initial wage budget was so far under what we were currently spending that we'd get in a lot of financial trouble.
Here is the financial situation at the club. We are now in some heavy debt as we sit three hundred and twenty seven thousand pounds into the red, this isn't ideal as we were in over a million pounds worth of debt a couple days ago. However the clubs injection of money helped us. The wage budget has dropped down to fifteen thousand which we have eighteen thousand to spend, Just two point six thousand spare to spend.
This is the squad...the whole squad. Last year we had several players in on loan and this summer I didn't negotiate contracts with so many players as they were simply wasted and weren't any good. We have just ten first team players on the books at the club at the moment and with that two or three of them probably don't even have the quality for this league anyway!
Here is the fixture list for this summer just to try and raise our profile a bit, our morale after missing out on the expected promotion as well as trying to get a team together that fits the formation immediately. it won't be an easy summer but we will battle through it, as we always do with some games easier for us and some tougher which will simply be for the usual financial gain.
In other news...
I've just received this job offer and its made me really think about my time at Horsens and whats best for myself and the challenge now. B 93 were relegated last season from the Betsfaligean and now sit in the bottom tier, the 2. Division Ost. They are expected to win the league this year and that could see me tick off another box I need to here in Denmark. And with Horsens club now very short on numbers and poor financial state, its one I'm considering!

Its just two league titles I require here in Denmark loscules! This one and the tier lower than I'm in now, the league title seems to be gone this year though!
It almst seems like a wasted season Benniewijs but there is always seasons like this!
The final month of the season was upon us and despite it seeming like we were out of the promotion race, technically we could of still hit second place so all the way there we battled hard. Going into May in fourth place I expected a top three finish. The final month saw us face three games which were routine wins on paper, two at home and one on the road it was all about a strong finish now.
We started the final month at home welcoming Fredercia where we stretched to three wins on the bounce. Beck lgave us the lead after twenty nine minutes which saw us ahead at the break. Second half we slipped back level as we conceded one before we went on to win the game when Krogh netted eleven minutes from time.
Our final away game of the season saw us travel to Vestsjaelland where we narrowly recorded another two one victory. We got off to a flyer netting after just si minutes when Duncan found the back of the net for us before we doubled our tally on the verge of the break through Juul. Second half we were poor and were lucky not to concede as it was ruled out for offside but eventually the home side netted one but we held on.
We ended the month and the season with our fifth win on the bounce as we searched for the top spot right to the end where we welcomed already relegated Hvidovre. We led early on again as we scored after just two minutes through Pedersen. Moments before the break we conceded from the spot after a sloppy challenge. Second half we turned up our game and went on to claim all three points when Beck restored our lead before Pedersen netted his second of the day in injury time.
The season is done and dusted and we narrowly missed out on promotion, potentially to our early form and drawing too many in the league this year. Kodling secured the top spot, winning the title by seven points over second place Silkborge who also got promoted. We finished just four points off second place which cost us promotion which the board expected, but we came close!

So we had made a decent enough return to competitive action during March where we picked up four points from a possible six. However April was set to be a much busier month as we faced a colossal amount of games crammed into just four weeks again. April saw us face seven games over the four weeks seeing us play twice a week! However with that we faced six league games and both legs of the DBU Pokalen Semi Final!
The month started in brilliant fashion as we continued our unbeaten run as we traveled to Frem and won five two in a seven goal thriller. We were ahead inside the opening minute as Beck netted after fifty two seconds to get us off to a flyer. But it turned to be Frem's half as they netted twice to lead within half an hour. However we swung back with two goals in a minute before the break with goals from Krogh and then Beck claiming his second. After the break we continued to dominate as Krogh netted his second before Brink came off the bench to net our fifth.
Second game of April saw us return to DBU Pokalen action where we welcomed Superliga side FC Midtylland in the semi final and it was one way traffic in the first leg. We were two down by the break and the top tier side added a third in the second half to confirm we were all but out.
Life didn't get any easier as we returned to league action welcomed Silkeborg knowing a win would see us close the gap and push our promotion bid. It wasn't to be though as we trailed three nil, yes three nil come the break which killed us off which was followed by a goalless first half.
And then we traveled to league leaders Kodling as our run continued to be harsh on us and we slipped to three defeats on the bounce. We played well off the blocks but conceded moments before the break which hit our hopes. Despite us leveling with seven minutes to go through Olesen it still proved not to be enough as sloppy defending from a corner saw us slip to a two one defeat.
We went four on the bounce without a win as our morale and form hit rock bottom as we traveled to Superliga side FC Midtylland where we lost three one in the second leg of the DBU Pokalen which saw us slump to a six one aggregate score and fall out the competition. Krogh the man with our goal.
Returning to league form and to winning ways as we traveled to Nordvest where we kept a clean sheet too. We got off the blocks after just eight minutes through Beck. It proved to be his day to as he grabbed our second ten minutes before the break which proved to be the last goal of the game, back to winning ways!
We ended April with back to back wins and back to back clean sheets as we claimed back to back two nil victories. We returned home to welcome struggling B 93 where we forced a two nil win in the second half. Storm struck first just twenty one minutes left on the clock before Brink netted in the last four minutes to round off a struggling month.
The two legs of the cup semi final saw us face two more games than we needed to this April putting the team under more pressure and its cost us as we slip down to fourth in the table! We can still finish second should we win all three of our remaining league games and HB Koge and Silkeborg have torrid run ins picking up two points! Kolding have secured promotion and will now hunt for the top spot whilst at the other end Hvidovre conclude an awful season and are now relegated.

Promotion of any sort will count as the trophy Dyrim whether its through the playoffs or winning the league. As for the BSS/N just one will do as there are a few leagues with a 'double tier' bottom league!
Hahaa yes I do steveekay, its an addicting career though!
So after a lengthy yet very good performance winter break we returned to competitive action looking to remain in good form for the rest of the season however knew it was never going to be that easy. Returning to competitive action we faced just two games in March as we looked to remain unbeaten.
An unbeaten return to competitive action saw our first game at home welcoming AB where we snatched a two nil victory. A goal after just three minutes set us off on a good foot when Topp netted confidently for us. We doubled our lead after sixteen minutes, this time Krogh getting on the scoresheet as it looked to be a busy game. However that proved to be the final goal of the match,
The second, and final game of March saw us at home again, this time welcoming fourth place HB Koge. Beck got us off to a flying start as he netted after just twenty minutes. We conceded in the second half and slipped to a draw however its a strong unbeaten return.
Eight games to go and its continues to look like we are out of the promotion battle. We remain third, still eight points away from second place. Kolding look set to secure the top spot as they sit on sixty one points moving five points clear of second place Silkborge whilst they are eight points clear of us on fifty six. We hold a four point gap over HB Koge but it looks to be a two horse race with eight games to go.

I too think the league title is long gone Shedender but as you said things turn quickly. I will take second place if we can but its unlikely now.
There is little else we can do Benniewijs than play the way we are, and its not enough!
Second place is just a straight promotion Miimaa so we would take that but its not likely the way we are falling behind thats for sure!
Thanks for catching up again laudrup_11! Still waiting to see something from you this year! Second place will ensure promotion and me and Shedender have said we will take promotions as the trophy so we will fight all the way for second place.
With the competitive season over until March we had a fair bit of time to try and improve the squad. We looked to make a bigger title bid in the new calender year as well as keep our good form going. We had made no moves this summer so haven't strengthened the side whilst we haven't lost any stars this winter either. However we did face a busy couple of months in friendlies.
We faced nine friendlies this winter and as we went into the 2034 calender year we wanted to remain in good form. We had a mix of friendlies with some tough games and some easy wins to get the goals and morale as high as we possibly could. This saw us pick up six wins over February and the early part of March whilst we draw two and lost just once this winter. A bit worrying we only managed to keep three clean sheets and went on to concede eight goals in five games but its a building block whilst we scored twenty in seven games where we found the net. A few good performances from some individuals as was expected.
We now head into the last three months of the season with ten league games remaining as we continue to try our best to stop the top two from securing promotion. We also have both legs of the DBU Pokalen against a Superliga side as we look to make history.

Stokerino moves onto fives trophies whilst loscules now has three trophies to his name and Alec has moved into second place now on nine trophies. But close competition at the top as Crashorburn also adds his ninth trophy to the competition. Newest to the competition Gendo moves straight up to joint fourth with five trophies!
