#283522 Very nice!

I made just one signing in January. He can play anywhere across the back but is best suited to right back. Brought him in as Clyne is refusing a new contract and is leaving on a free in the summer. Kuhl is also doing the same thing which is really annoying as he has been one of my best players this season.
After that blip in December, things seemed to be back to normal in 2025. A defeat to Southampton in the league cup semi didn't matter because we went on to win the second leg and then the final against Man City. Thats four league cup wins in five years if I remember correctly. Our first meaningful defeat of the calendar year came at Huddersfield, just two weeks after we inflicted a first loss of the season on Man Utd. That defeat hadn't done too much damage because Man Utd were still within reach, but in March our season was ruined in three games. We lost our 2-1 advantage to PSG in the Champions League who went on to win 2-0 and knock us out in the first knockout round 3-2 on aggregate. In the following seven days, we lost to Southampton and Newcastle to put our title charge on the verge of ending. We did go on to win every league game after those losses, but sadly for us Man Utd were just too good. Another second place finish, although our points tally of 87 would've been enough to win the title last year.
The stats say its been our best league season, the final results say it still isn't good enough. Next season will be really difficult and its hard to see us getting near this level again. Clyne and Kuhl are off on frees, Ronaldo and Wilshere have retired and various others are on a decline now that they are in their thirties. I wonder if the board will even keep me around to have another crack at it next season.
As I have just mentioned, Cristiano Ronaldo has retired at the age of 40. He was awesome and only missed 10 league games in his three seasons at Boro. During his time here, he manged to get 47 goals and 28 assists with an average rating that grew every season. I did try and convince him to carry on playing but he refused. He has made the move into management but is yet to find a club.

He is still doing it on the international stage too. 191 caps and 87 goals, not bad for someone that is about to turn 40!

Just the two singings this summer, although I did spunk 40 big ones on a winger from Juventus. The other guy has instantly rejoined Kobenhavn on a season long loan.
About half of that spent money came from player sales. Vidal and Fierro were brought in on free transfers last summer and were sold for a combined £7.9m this summer, a nice amount. Chadli was getting old and wasn't good enough so he left to free up wages for the new winger. Gomez was a youth player that was never going to be good enough for us so I sold him to whoever wanted him. Novotny turned out to be rubbish but despite not playing a single game for me last season, I managed to sell him for £1.5m more than I paid for him. Forest got mugged. Acosta was just sitting around not doing much either so he went off for a good amount.
The season began in the same way it always seems to. Plenty of goals, dominant performances and very few losses. In fact the home games against Portsmouth and Dinamo Zagreb combined saw us have over 100 shots, although scoring with just six of them isn't that great. If you look through the fixtures, i'm sure you can see why it has taken so long for this update to arrive. Thats right, the 8-1 loss to Man Utd which made no sense at all. We had more possession and only three less shots than they did, but somehow lost by seven goals. I may have suffered a rage quit afterwards...
In the Champions League, we won every single game with ease. I did actually forget to grab a screenshot of the table, but it doesn't matter because obviously we topped it due to the six wins. After the group stage was over, we seemed to stop performing and as a result, we suffered three defeats in four league games in December. That was exactly what we didn't need when our main rivals, Man Utd, are performing as they are. (More on that later...)
The draw for the first knockout round of the Champions League has been made and we got a tough one. The only possible draw that would've been harder for us was Real Madrid.
Now for the table. Man Utd are proving to be pretty much unstoppable and look to have one hand on the title already. They are heading into 2025 unbeaten and nine points clear of the chasing pack. Their two main stikers, Munir and Schurrle, have between them already scored 10 more goals than the entire Man City squad have.
Look at this shit, its the amount of goals they've scored against each team. They've only played 18 games and have played each of these teams just once...

I'd much rather see him on the wing than the Lamela.

Its not a great team, but they shouldn't be getting beat by Iceland and Turkey.

Chadli and Eriksen got into double figures as well last season plus we've got that Korean lad who could be decent. No idea if Njie is any good, but in true Spurs style he is already injured.

Couple of lines taken from an article online.
"WWE filed a restraining order against Armando Montalvo after he was caught spreading his faeces and urine on the building earlier in the month. He was also obsessed with a Diva and often turned up at the Center dressed in wrestling gear."
"Montalvo reportedly filmed himself mixing his faeces with milk."
Sounds like a lovely person.

Charlie Austin, £15m, just do it Levy for fuck sake, we've only got 1 proper striker which obviously isn't going to be enough.

What are you on about? Martial was clearly a well thought out signing and certainly not a panic buy in any way whatsoever.

Also Dante and Draxler have joined Wolfsburg with Perisic going to Inter.

Wenger is probably busy out shopping for a coat that actually fits and has a working zip.

He played 4 games for Lyon and didn't score...
Martial is a good talent and will probably be a great player in the future, but why are Man Utd spending £36m on a potentially good player when they desperately need a player that can do it here and now? I think Monaco will be making a profit of over £30m if this deal goes through.
