I swear every player I buy on Fifa or FM ends up going to either Spurs, Arsenal or Chelsea in real life, its already happened 4 times this summer.

I genuinely thought Rooney would revert back to the 25 goal season form. Being second fiddle for so long obviously has had a massive detrimental effect on him. If I was United I'd go all in for Harry Kane in all honesty. He hasn't scored yet but he'd be perfect foil alongside Depay & Mata.

Not that I want him to go, but if Man Utd come in with a stupidly high amount then yeah, sell him. I highly doubt he'll get 30+ goals again, he is good, but not as good as many people are making him out to be.

H2H seasons is the true test of ability anyway... grumble grumble.

H2H seasons is so much easier than FUT for me. Been playing H2H recently and i've managed to score 39 and conced just 6 in my last 12 games.

Was at the Spurs game today. We were absolute crap despite having about 90% possession in the first 25 minutes. Somehow we got 2 goals though and could've had more if it wasn't for Butland, who was brilliant all game. He maybe could've done better for the Dier goal but I was at the other end of the stadium so couldn't quite see. Arnautovic was unplayable and had Walker on toast all game, thought he was MOTM today. The Joselu and Ireland substitutions changed the game and our reply was to take off Kane and bring Lamela on. No fucking idea what that was supposed to do, but all it did do was make us even worse. I'd just sell Lamela, take a loss on him to be honest, he is fucking awful and doesn't seem to be that bothered. Also it would be nice if Levy woke up and bought another striker, preferably Austin.

One more thing, it would be good if half the team weren't playing out of position.

Can't stand his grovelling. He's absolutely spineless, the luckiest manager I've ever seen.

Congratulating the referee for his excellent performance in assisting Swansea. Hope him and Mike Jones go out for drink after the game. Top pals. He left out how Montero, Naughton, Gomis and Taylor could have been sent off in his review of Mike Jones' performance.

Haha yeah, because he is totally going to talk about how his own players could've been sent off

Also I don't see how Monk is, in your eyes, lucky. I'd say he is doing a decent job. Maybe you're just bitter, I don't know.

Interesting facts from the opening day. Manchester United are the only side to win the Premier League after losing on the opening day of the season. Arsenal had lost just one of their previous opening day fixtures and West Ham had lost more than any other side. Chelsea had won their opening game in each season they'd won the Premier League and had won every opening game under Mourinho.

EDIT: Maybe you can't read too much into it as it's the opening day of the season with a long, long way to go, but then again maybe you can. If history repeats it won't be Chelsea or Arsenal winning the Premier League this season.

In each of the last 5 seasons, the eventual champions have started their season on a monday. Good sign for West Brom then.
