The Journeyman

Job History:

This is a career I have been playing for a couple of months, until I stopped to try and do the African career, however the game decided it wanted to crash once I had committed myself to writing it up on here, so I have stopped it. So I am going to go back to this career again, except, write it up onto here. So far in the save: I began with Busan lPark in South Korea. They were rock bottom, and were relying on other teams for them to have a chance of staying up. Despite 2 wins and 4 draws from 6 games, the were relegated. I didn't have the second league in South Korea loaded, so I had to resign after 6 games. Then I moved to South Africa, with Orlando Pirates, one of the giants of South Africa. I was looking to put the disappointment of Busan behind me, but the first season was slightly disappointing as we only managed 4th. However in the second year, we won the domestic double. Having won almost everything, domestically, in South Africa, I moved to China, in light of their high profile signings in real life. I had a very short stay in China, as the registration rules were too complicated and I could field a strong enough side having joined half way through the season, so I left after a few months. I then joined FC Seoul, and won the league in my first season. However after a very stingy board weren't happy with a 3rd place finish the following year, they terminated my contract. During this time, I was offered the South Korea U23s job, and finished 3rd in the Asian Football Games. I decided after being in Asia for most of my short career, I was going to move somewhere different, so I went to the MLS with SKC. I finished 11th in the first season, but in the second, I came 2nd, won the Western Conference and then the MLS cup. I also took the Ghana job in this time, and got knocked out of the AFCON in the quarter finals, and was sacked, yet again. Finally, I ended up at Cardiff. I was looking for a Premier League team to join, and there were 3 available, all of which were destined for relegation. Cardiff took me on, for the last two games of the Premier League season, and we were relegated. I am now in the second season, and in the Championship, and 1/4 of the way through it.









The best player at the club. I signed him for £2.9m from Benfica as he wanted to leave. Not sure why he wanted to leave champions league football, to come the Championship, but he did. He is a Uruguayan international, and at only 20, will undoubtedly be an insane centre back


Only on loan, but another incredible deal for a Championship team. For some reason cannot get into the West Ham team, and we couldn't afford to shell out the £7.75m asking price, so a loan will do for now. Quite a few big clubs were sniffing around for him before we brought him in


Finally, the player of the season so far, Joe Dodoo. Was at Ipswich but got released in the summer. I knew about him as he was always on the fringes of making the Ghana squad. He scored quite a few goals for Ipswich, but was only supposed to be a backup. However with 16 goals in 16 games and 9 assists, he has earned a starting spot


Finally the schedule so far. The results that instantly jump out at you are the 4 defeats in a row. I was testing out formations, and the one I used on those particular occasions obviously didn't work. Despite this, they are our only losses of the season which is the main reason we aren't higher than 5th. Another result is the 2-1 victory over Manchester United in the Capital One Cup. Although the fielded a weakened team, it was still a great result considering they are top of the premier league after only losing once. But that is where I am at right now, and the next game is against Charlton Athletic

Looks like its a problem with some of my custom databases conflicting. So I think I am going to have to end it. Frustrating, I was getting into it

I have just started the second season, however there is a crash dump, which happens on the same day each time I try to play it. Does anyone know how to fix this? Or what is causing it?

I have just started my second season, and my game keeps crashing, on the same day each time. I am using the leagues megapack, and I am playing in Algeria. Is there any way of knowing whats causing it, and how to stop it?

The highlight of the season was undoubtedly the 2-1 victory against Belouizdad AET. It was a game we dominated but only scraped a vital victory. It secured a double, however the Super Coupe was won by the previous manager. However the first choice central midfielder, and eventual player of the match, Sofiane Lagraa, sustained an injury after his goal which resulted in 10-11 months on the sidelines. His contract was expiring and I was trying to resign him, however, at 29 years old, it put the final nail in his ES Setif coffin.

The Champions League

All but one of these games were played by the previous manager, and the match I did take charge of, we lost. It didn't matter as we were already out, but we did lose to USM Alger, incidentally.



We made one quite high profile signing, in Rachid Ghezzal, on loan from Ligue 1 giants, Lyon. He is Algerian which is a bonus, and he also filled the space of the star man, Abdelmoumene Djabou, who got a long term injury. The only other player of note was Sofyane Cherfa, who was signed as the new centre back as the previous first choice was sub-par and 37 years old. Cherfa is 31 but quite a bit better. began his career at Monaco, and has played in other areas of France as well as Greece and also Cyprus.
The three players leaving permanently were Walid Chenine, who left to Cameroonian side Astres, Eudes Dagoulou, who also left for Cameroon, and finally, Hacene Ogbi, who I released. He was the highest earner despite being a back up. The other two left due to being foreign and also backup players.



The team has performed very well, but I need to improve the depth. I was given a squad with a lot of wingers, and not many defenders, so i have got 6 players who made less than 5 starts, 3 of which failed to feature at all. Each of these players, other than the second choice keeper, I will be moving on, and replacing with a few center backs and a replacement central midfielder, to fill the gap left by Sofiane Lagraa. The key players this season, were Abdelmalek Ziaya, who scored 29 goals in 41 games, Fares Hachi, the full back, who got 18 assists as well as 3 goals, from left back, in 39 games and also Toufik Zerara, the central midfielder, who got a 7.87 match rating, in 44 appearances.



Managed to get into the Algerian Hall of Fame after 1 year. I also signed a new two year contract.
