For FM22, SI changed how the cutout images included in the game work. Instead of being transparent .png files, they're now compressed .jpg files on a black background, with an extra black and white .png file with “[mask]” in the filename, which is used by...
@Cato Ingebrigtsen This isn't a bad cutout, but like @mons has mentioned before, you should crop the cutout to just below the player's chin instead of leaving such a large space, especially when there is a good enough source available. Try again with the...
@Cristiano Suiiii This is the same source as the previous rejected one but zoomed in, so it's blurry.
In this case, @CXBXRPXTX's cutout does have the shoulders cut correctly, but the kit the person is wearing is black in the middle and white on the sides like Ajax's kit, so the shoulder edges just don't show up well on a light background 😛
Perhaps @aminezirar knows?
Do you know who the player in the cutout image is? Can you provide a source image of the correct player?fyi @mons
@devjikker If you're uploading a lot of sources at once, it's better to upload them altogether as a pack instead of individually. This video shows you how to do that. You just have to make sure the images are saved as the player's UID so the system...
Already made here: https://sortitoutsi.net/comments/get/656133
@gzczc If you remove this part from the end of the URL, you can get a larger image size, which will make for a better quality cutout:https://schalke04.de/content/uploads/2021/06/Hechelmann_Team_2122-1440x1342.jpgLike so:https://schalke04.de/content/upload...
@Adam_DK For hns-cff.hr images, you can get larger sizes with this method: https://sortitoutsi.net/comments/get/456277
If you're requesting multiple images in a short amount of time you can upload them as a pack instead of individually, as shown in this video:
@Footygamer Was removing clicking an image in a post/comment to open it in the “gallery view" intentional? (e.g. one of the images in the comments on this timeline) You can still view cutouts in the gallery view in the same way so just wondering, although...
Be sure to tag @mons if you notice an error like this 👍
You can, but you'd manually search each player's entry in the megapack config.xml file by their UID and delete them from the config, then reload the skin in FM to refresh the cache; if you have the full megapack downloaded that might take a while.
If the player is in the FM database, you can request a source image to be cut here: https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/submissions/1 If they aren't in the database and you just want to add a custom created player to your game, you can use remove.bg to...
@MisterStubbs Make sure you're linking directly to the image (e.g. a URL that ends in .jpg or .png) when making a request from an image URL, if you're just linking to a web page it won't work.
Opening the image in a new tab (at least using Google Chrome, it might be different for other browsers) redirects to a page on the photobucket website where there's no watermark, then I downloaded the image from there.
This cutout wouldn't be an improvement in any case, there's snow around the hair that needs to be removed. Did you use remove.bg to cut the source image?
Definitely 👍Although one other thing I should have mentioned is that when the person's head is tilted to one side like in this source, it's better to rotate it slightly so that the face os upright/eyes are roughly in line (and ears, etc). This video shows...
@demonade This isn't a bad cutout, but when a high quality source image like this one is easily found, it would be a waste not to cut it at 250*250px instead of 180px. One other thing to note is that you've left a lot of empty space above the head in...
fyi @mons I've uploaded a larger version of the correct source tvcapper posted above, although the thumbnail image is broken
I've moved it to the correct timeline 👍 However, black and white images aren't ideal as they have to be recoloured, can you find a colour image of the correct player?
@dazzybeat The face in this image would have to be upscaled to fit the 250*250px cutout dimensions, which would result in worse image quality, and the hands would have to be photoshopped out of the image anyway, which would take a fair bit of time. Consid...

🤦♂️I completely forgot about that, my mistake.
@Joãp If you're uploading a lot of cutouts at once, it's easier for you and for @mons if you upload them as a pack instead of each one individually. The below video shows how to upload packs. Just make sure you the name of each cutout image is the person'...
Should be in this pack https://sortitoutsi.net/content/27220/nations-euro-ss2016-pack-only-new-140516
@tygryseku This isn't a bad cutout, but you should take care to avoid the shoulders being cut off before the edge of the canvas (below is another example, showing the gaps between where the shoulders are cut off and the edge of the canvas).
@mons Was this missed in the megapack update?
@P-Jo for DFB.de images, you can follow these steps to get larger image sizes: https://sortitoutsi.net/comments/get/471110
He's in the database as Gonçalo Filipe
@StuartNG Can I ask what method/program you're using for your cutouts? This one looks a bit blurry compared to the excellent quality of the source image. It could certainly be cropped closer to the chin, as well.
Sanchidrián looks like he came straight out of Football Manager 1888 😆
From what I understand (looking at the player's gamedata page), your cutout is of the correct André Gomes (a goalkeeper), and the cutout in the megapack currently is of a midfielder with the same name. Is that correct? (fyi @mons )
Moved this source to the correct player's timeline
By the way @Pie, for future reference you can get larger images from EFL club sites (including Cheltenham) by following these steps.
In the future, if you're requesting multiple images in a short amount of time, it's better to do so as a pack. The video below shows how to do that.
Try uploading the image again - make sure you link directly to it if you're uploading via image URL.
@lacme31 Rogel has a high quality cutout from last season. Such a tiny source would only result in a far worse quality cutout than the existing one, which wouldn't make much sense.
@yatahaze Also, are you upscaling these USL cutouts from smaller source images? A lot of them are blurrier than the existing cutouts, and in this case the cutout is extremely blurry.
@yatahaze This cutout has a lot of snow in the hair, and is missing a collar. Here's a video on how to easily spot and remove snow in cutouts:And you can follow the steps in this video to easily move a collar upwards:
You'll get better results if you upload the image to remove.bg, as shown in this video:
I had a quick look in chrome dev tools - I think if you change this string it would look betterCurrently it has a width of 1170px a left-hand margin of 160px; if you change that to 1280x and 50px respectively it shifts the logo over and gives more space t...
Seeing as @kilombos is mostly interested in Barca youth players, I think it's this Alejandro Ramos who doesn't seem to be in the game yet.
If you notice an error in the cutout pack, be sure to tag @mons - otherwise a comment can easily be missed.
It's a work in progress kitpack, Level 8 is being worked on.
@Alberto Ríos Rodríguez Try to look for larger source images than the one you posted - an ideal source is large enough and of high enough quality to make a 250px sized cutout. The one you posted for Piero Quispe is a good size. I got this source from...
Even though your cutout was added to the megapack, it's quite blurry tbh, can definitely be improved upon. His current hairstyle is similar to the August 2020 source, so I think that source would be more appropriate.
Mbappe's current cutout has a collar, so I don't understand what you're talking about. As for the clarity of the picture, I don't quite understand either, can you explain in other words?
