Try starting a new game without the latter file and see if the issue persists. Like I said, it's definitely not related to this download and that's where I think it could be coming from

Do you mean the 3 Letter Name for Competitions editor data file? I'm at work so can't check the file right now, but it was the first and main change I made to the file so I'd find it very hard to understand if that's the case.
