Welcome everyone to the Football Manager 2026 Moneyball series! We are playing as Hearts in this series using no attributes and stats only to recruit players. We will be doing this using Matt Fitzpatrick's player data spreadsheet he has developed in his spare time looking for the best value for money in the Football world. Playing in the SPL as a team (that is not named Rangers or Celtic) is a huge challenge facing your title rivals 8 times per season giving them a huge advantage over you. The series will work with 2 very simple rules. 1. We can't use or look at player attributes at anytime until we have sold the player and 3 years have gone by. 2. Our aim is to win the SPL & the Champions League but we have a 3 strike policy when it comes to European finals. Each time we lose in a European final (Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Conference league it doesn't matter) we get 1 strike. The series ends when either we win the Champions League or we get our third strike in European finals. If we get 3 strikes before winning the Champions League this means the series ends there and we don't achieve the target of winning the Champions League. The series will work with 2 very simple rules. 1. We can't use or look at player attributes at anytime until we have sold the player and 3 years have gone by. 2. Our aim is to win the SPL & the Champions League but we have a 3 strike policy when it comes to European finals. Each time we lose in a European final (Champions League, Europa League, UEFA Conference league it doesn't matter) we get 1 strike. The series ends when either we win the Champions League or we get our third strike in European finals. If we get 3 strikes before winning the Champions League this means the series ends there and we don't achieve the target of winning the Champions League. Welcome everyone to the Football Manager 2026 Moneyball series! We are playing as Hearts in this series using no attributes and stats only to recruit players. We will be doing this using Matt Fitzpatrick's player data spreadsheet he has developed in his spare time looking for the best value for money in the Football world. Playing in the SPL as a team (that is not named Rangers or Celtic) is a huge challenge facing your title rivals 8 times per season giving them a huge advantage over you.
