got it the day it came out but havent really had much time to play it annoyingly, only really done the first few missions but agree with whoever said about how outrunning the cops feels like you're in Drive, cause it really fucking does. I love it and can't wait to get some proper time to get some hours in on it

Unpopular opinion probably but the police are way too overpowered that it makes the game virtually unplayable at times.

I think the police being harder to evade than GTA IV is a good thing, I just find it annoying how little you have to do to have them on you. I wish there was a setting where you could get away with more before getting a star rating for those times you want to just mow people down/ go on a shooting rampage.

I've found it quite easy to get away from the police most of the time. Park in an alley normally seems to do the trick. I rarely get stars for stealing cars, but most of the time I try to do it discreetly.

Rarely see them driving around as well.

The police are much easier to get away from imo, i think the people who have struggled are still treating them like the police on GTA 4 and just try to outrun them rather than dive down an alley way or under a bridge. Also i love the fact the choppers aren't constantly on you when you have a few stars, like they will go and come back.

You can still outrun them like on GTA IV you just cant go in a straight line or they will just come from different directions and get you. if you keep turning you cn get away early. A favourite move of mine is to just drive down train lines. they never follow

I've found that if you're in the city, or on the freeway, they come out of nowhere and ram your car to shit before you can get away to hide. It's pretty much like Pac Man.

Just done the FIB and the Merryweather heists, I can't aim for shit but I've figured to pass big shootouts just go on a rampage killing as many cops as possible, then switch characters so the other one has their health maximised, while you have a go with the other character, etc.

The police aren't just dicks towards the player, they are dicks towards the AI as well.

Saw an AI-driven car have a minor brush with a cop car out in the sticks, then half a dozen hick cops armed with shotguns ganged up on the poor soul and went berserk.

Seems like its a common thing with older Xbox's

The stock market stuff in this is nuts, especially considering its something you could go the whole game just not paying attention to. I bought a loads of stock in Taco Bomb and then went to the Clucking Bell factory and spent 30 minutes blowing up lorries so their stock price went down and the Taco Bomb price went up

Ha that's ace! I'm loving picking random pedestrians up at the side of the road. I found 2 guys digging a hole for this girl so I shot them both and she explained she was the daughter of a big Mafia boss and if I returned her home I would get rewarded. I got 60k!

Also took some guy to the airport and as he got out he recommended some stocks to me, I put them on and made a fair bit.

Found a groom tied to a lamp post on the day of his wedding after his stag too

I did the second one as well, didn't have much on me so I only made a small profit. Put all my money in that stock, got a taxi half way across the map and then got a star for not paying the taxi driver.

FUCK SAKE. Brought a new car. Cost about 700k. Speeding down a road, car clips me which makes me clip a police car so there after me. After about a 10 minute chase down dirt roads me and the police car fall of cliff his car explodes I land safely but car is fucked and middle of nowhere
