Rapidshare Mirrors Not Working

Just to let all users know that our Rapidshare account has been locked for an unknown reason. This means that many people will find that they are unable to get free mirrors for our files. We are currently trying to fix the problem however being late at night and a weekend it is hard to get anywhere with their support team so this may take until tomorrow or even Monday.

In the meantime I will be investigating what other options are available to get the files to you as quickly as possibly. But once again, being late at night here in the UK, I don't want to put a timeframe on it but I promise that i'm working as hard and quickly as possible to get it fixed and can only apologise for a problem that is beyond our control.

Anything to do with being copyrighted images used in the packs hosted?

Good luck mate, and hope you can get it resolved. Getting PM's in French the lot demanding why they can't download my tactics lol. At least I know where to direct em for an explanation now.

I don't think so. It's happened to us in the past and it's more likely being misinterpreted as cracks of the game.

The way its been explained to me in the past is that Sports Interactive hire a company to try and combat piracy for them. This company basically just uses automated bots (i.e. computers not humans) to find links such as "Football Manager 2013 Crack" that go to megaupload, rapidshare and the likes and then issue take down notices.

However their system is often over overenthusiastic and will find things like "Download Football Manager Facepack" see the words "Download Football Manager" and think "oh this is an illegal download of the game" and report it.

Then sites like Rapidshare can't be bothered to talk to little guy i.e. us and just ban anyone that they get a copyright notice for without really investigating.

It's for this reason that we force people to register to download, so that automated robots can't find the links and mistake them. But alas it still happens sometimes.

But don't worry, i'll be on the phone to Rapidshare and have begun re-mirroring some of the most popular files to http://depositfiles.com/ but it may take most of the night and into tomorrow to upload.

All files should have at least a depositfiles.com or crocko.com mirror. Rapidshare is however still not working.

I know those two sharing sites may not be totally popular with everyone but they're the easiest ones to work with from our perspective in terms of speed and efficiency (i.e. not doing alot of manual uploads sitting at the computer)

Finally got through to Rapidshare and all Rapidshare links should be working again!

Can you be more specific? What's the problem? Error message? Screenshot?

Rapidshare have changed how many people can download a file now, it's massively affecting shall we less "legal" things, so rather than 100,000 downloading a copy of say Friends it will now limit it to a 1,000. Same probably with the graphic packs on here.

The error message:

I keep getting this same message for days now

"Download not available
File owner's public traffic exhausted."

Hmm this is news to me i'll have to investigate.

Crocko mirrors should be working fine for anything else though right?

EDIT: Damn it's true and it seems like rapidshare is no longer going to be a viable option. Fortunately we have crocko as well and i'll keep looking into other possibilities.

Any update ? Because I'm sure Crocko isn't used as it's so long and boring. You've to wait for clicking to something which make you wait again even longer before being able to write a captcha code which will start the download 50% of the time, or make you start from the beginning the other 50%. Doing it for 20 parts of file would take 5/6 hours + the time to download which is extra-long. Why don't you use torrent ? Thank you in advance.

I've tried to get it working with mediafire but it only works for small files, nothing over 100mb for some reason. I'm going to try hotfile this afternoon and maybe depositfiles but it's alot of hard to work to get this sort of thing set up, Crocko and Rapidshare make it easy which is why we use them, but I understand that they're not perfect

Thank you for your answer. I understand that it's kinda hard to find a nice file hoster these days. But you didn't answer about the torrent method ? Which is maybe the easiest you could find.

mediafire is better. i notice some members ask me rapidshare failed download most, so i delete them all, just Mediafire link.

Don't delete the rapidshare ones, they're automatically done every hour so if you delete them that's a complete waste of time. I've made some changes so that only smaller ones have rapidshare links and hopefully they'll stop failing.

i've got a strange problem with mediafire links,my standard browser is internet explorer & when i want to download from mediafire,the download mostly (sometimes it will) just won't start.when trying again still nothing happens.when i'm trying to download from mediafire in firefox,i don't have any problems,so i can download from mediafire but imo it's strange that it fails mostly in internet explorer,anyone else with a similar problem?

I can't figure to find these mediafire links.

I've been using rapid share to download kits etc for a few day lately (just bought FN2012) but 2 days ago it stopped working.
When I click on the link it keeps coming up with the following no matter what it is I'm trying to download.

error - download permission denied by uploader

Can anyone help with a way around this? or is it an issue with rapid share that is being worked on?

What is the file you're trying to download?

It seems to be anything but at present I'm trying to download kits for 2011/12. I've even gone back to kits I've already downloaded a few days earlier to try those to make sure it's not just certain files & they are the same so I don't think it's only an issue with the file (unless they have time expired or something).
An eg of a file though is kits/leagues/2011/12/Australia Hyundai league.
