The owner and the Board would like to thank Karl for all he has done for the club since taking over in May 2010.
The Dons finishing 5th in 2011-12 Football League One facing Huddersfield in the play-offs. Losing the first leg 2–0 followed by winning 2–1 at The Galpharm saw MK Dons lose 3–2 on aggregate against the eventual play-off winners.
Karl Robinson spent two years at the club with 47.62 percent winning rate, but he didn't win anything with the team.
Now the club are looking for an ambitious manager, who can reach the target, which is the promotion.

New MK Dons manager Announced
MK Dons appoint Sol Campbell as new manager
MK Dons have surprisingly appointed Sol Campbell as the club's boss.
Campbell, the former England captain has agreed a 12-month rolling contract.
Dons chairman Pete Winkelman said: "Sol has enormous ambition and very experienced person to build on the momentum our club is building. He has a unproven track in managing, but we believe he is the right man to achieve our targets. His man-management skills will be groving, just as the club's reputation in England.
Campbell told the club's official website: "I'm absolutely delighted to be the manager at MK Dons. I just really hope I can bring success. It's not got a lot of history this football club, but we are making it on a regular basis and I really want to be a part of that history. There's no doubt there's a lot of ability in the squad to reach the promotion at the and of the season, we will do everything to achieve that. I just can't wait to start to work.."

MK Dons played five friendly game, and only one win from these, against the reserve team.
However only one 2-1 lose against the strong side Birmingham.
The team use new 4-2-3-1 formation, perhaps this has to get used to the team,
Here's the pre-season results:
The first signing is Jason Koumas. The Tranmere and West Bromwich player, after being released by Wigan in 2011, sign one year contract with the team. Koumas operates as a creative midfield playmaker having played as a winger earlier in his career, creating goals for others as well as scoring many himself. He was selected in both the 2005–06 and 2006–07 Football League Championship team of the season.
And the others:
No one left the team in the summer transfer window.
