Hey, I'm trying to focus on developing my own youth but I am finding it impossible to get decent youth coaches. I look for the normal determination,discipline,motivating, whatever attribute needed for assignment(attacking or defending ect) and finally working with youngsters but I cant get more than 2.5 stars! Where am I going wrong?

It has to do with the status of the coaches, You are signing coaches that although have good attributes, they have also local or regional status.
Look, install genious scout and search for the staff :-)

all my coaches have national status so I dont think that is a problem in this instance

I will give them a bash I am 10 years in to the game so hopefully they aren't too old

Try to sign staff with continental status, that will solve it or at least help.

Turns out that all my regens that i got through were terrible so i released all of them and I had poor youth coaches so i sacked them and brought in new ones. When I brought in the new ones dispite the fact they had good stats their star ratings were really low but as soon as the next batch or regens through and they had people to train there ratings increased significantly so all is good!!
