That was never going to happen. His record with Argentina is average at best, he doesn't really get on with Messi and he would expect to start.

Any defense with Federico Fernandez in it is suspect by default... Shame Gino Peruzzi didn't make it, he's been good whenever I've seen him with Catania, even got a goal against us in Sicily.

Sabella likes to play favourites. Peruzzi's not the only disappointing omission, he's made a number of bizarre choices over the last year when it comes to his goalkeepers and defenders.

Blatter has said on Swiss TV that the Qatar World Cup was a mistake.

With 8 years to go there is still time to reverse that decision, and more so than Brazil and their still half-built stadiums

They should definitely move it away from Qatar.

It only took three years and many deaths of workers for him to realise.

It's quite hot in the Middle East in July, who'd have thought it?

He voted for USA I think. Still though, he's the man in charge. It shouldn't have been allowed to happen.

People saying his comments could be to do with the election next year, saying 'I didn't vote for Qatar but Platini did.'

So they should just ignore the vote, and allow Blatter to have final say?

I hate to sound like I'm defending him, but still.

You're not allowed to defend him.

He should be doing this job, i.e. not allowing this all to happen.

FUCK OFF ITV

They haven't actually 100% decided on doing it yet, but its still shit that they are actually considering it.

Platini was, from the sounds of things, the main driving force, which is as perfect an advertisement for him not to be elected FIFA President at the next election. Or indeed, ever.

Meh, its bearable.

You get this with cricket all the time short minute breaks it is nowhere near as infuriating as you are trying to make out.

It would be very annoying. Remember when ITV decided to go to an ad break in the Everton - Liverpool game a few years ago and we missed the only goal of the game? I don't want that to be happening at the World Cup, just imagine England winning 1-0 and we missed the goal because ITV decided to show us the go compare man and some gambling adverts instead.

Agreed, they can fill the 15 minutes between end of the first and start of the second half with adverts if they want. Just not in the game please!

They're not missing the game, they're doing it during a 3 minute water break.

Hah! "Decided".

Don't see the big deal. It's either 3 mins of Chiles talking shite, or 3 mins of ads, either way you'll be out in the kitchen getting another drink

I dont see the problem.. they put an advert on when the players have a 3minute break, giving you 3 minutes to have a shit or something... could be worse, they could actually announce theyre not screening matches at all.

So Suarez is doubtful for the World Cup as he needs surgery on his meniscus. Could be rushing to be fit for the groups. Shame really, first Falcao, now potentially Suarez

When you flying out? You're cutting it very fine if you haven't had injections yet Twinrix (the Hep A + B vaccine) is a 4 week course!
