Goal, the ever reliable Goal, are reporting Di Maria to PSG could be official very soon. €60M. Mendes in Paris now apparently.

Usually I pass this off as bullshit, but I'm not sure about it. I want him to stay, he's said he wants to stay, depends if we want to keep him I guess.

I hope he carries on from last season and fails miserably for the rest of his career, never liked him and never will.

His attitude is all wrong, seems to think he has made it and is a big star already. Also, Balotelli loses his father and still comes back to training, Liverpool reject a Man City bid and Sterling acts like a baby and claims to be "ill" so he doesn't have to come in. Total lack of respect.

I don't see how he thinks he's made it big. If being ambitious and wanting to progress your career at a top level club is the wrong attitude then fuck me.

Saw that City want De Bruyne too.

Totally different to wanting to progress his career and being ambitious than being a cunt about it all and not showing much respect to a club and manager who gave him the opportunity to get here.

I didn't say that wanting to progress his career at a top level club is the wrong attitude did I? You'd have to be a complete fucking retard to think that is the wrong attitude. I'm saying that he has had 1 good season and starts acting like a prick and pretty much forces a move to another club like he is some kind of superstar. He may very well go on to be a top class player one day, but at the moment, he isn't. All he has proved is that he has potential, he hasn't really done much in his short career so far.

If David Brent was my manager I'd probably try and force my way out as well. The geezer is a crackpot with his head ridiculously far up his own arse.

Now to splash that 49 million on about 5 players

TBH I think this deal has been done for a while and most of the money has been spent already. Don't see Liverpool splashing out too much more this window.

While I partially agree, surely we'll still spend something as with the money coming in we're breaking even, so should still have something to spend.

Looks like we're bringing in Benteke, which although a good player I really don't understand as he totally doesn't fit into the way Rodgers wants to play. Other than that an actual good CB would be nice

Seen Vidal to Bayern rumours around. Would be a great replacement for Schweinsteiger.

Don't see why some people think it means Javi Martinez/Alaba are off. I would love either though, especially Alaba seeing as he's said before he wants to play centrally; but I believe he's doing that under Pep anyway.

So LvG has said Valdes is leaving after refusing to play in the reserves and doesn't follow his philosophy.

Plus he wasn't definite on Di Maria staying. Been an eventful summer for us already and there's more to come.

Deals done by all reports. €40m + bonuses and something like a 4 year €6.5m contact.

Money to be used to try to sign either Oscar, Ozil or Isco similar reports say.

Jeremain Lens has signed for Sunderland and it seems like Ron Vlaar and Ajax talent Ricardo Kishna will sign for Lazio. Shaping up to be another very good mercato from Lazio.

Swedish u21 international Simon Gustafson has signed for Feyenoord and it looks like Albin Ekdal will be signing for HSV. I like both moves, Gustafson will be given opportunity to fill the void left by Clasie while Ekdal gets a chance at a big club, albeit a struggling one.

Most likely going to be Oscar, Chelsea can do a lot better than him anyway and there's no way either us or Madrid are selling Özil/Isco.

Benteke for 32.5m, Liverpool do it once again.

Undecided on Benteke but we need another striker and cant really think of who else we'd be able to get, got a good scoring record just that drought last season that worries me but we created plenty of chances last season so maybe it'll work out alright. Still abit of a risk though

Kaboul to Sunderland. Good, just need to see Chiriches and Fazio out the door now.

Also, Axel Witsel is apparently wanting to join Manchester United, Chelsea, Juventus or AC Milan although I haven't heard anything about anyone bidding for him yet.

Why are people crying over the fee? It's not as ridiculously overpriced as suggested (considering hes still 24 aswell). Doesn't suit our playing style though

He'll be sold onto West Brom or something for about 4million in a few seasons.

Wasn't Andy Carroll young too, for 35m?

The price of the transfer window these days and clubs putting ridiculous fees on players its the world were in at the moment! £32.5 million isn't a terribly over priced fee to pay for someone like Benteke, just hope he hits the ground running should he join Liverpool!

Sterling to City is starting to look like a deal considering Benteke's going for 32.5m

Seems you have the paradox of Liverpool fans again, some think it's good; whereas my mate is fuming and thinks they're going to finish 10th. I'm with my mate in all honesty.

So Liverpool now have how many strikers? Borini, Sturridge, Balotelli, Origi, Ings, Lambert (I think he is still there?) plus Benteke if it all goes through?! Crazy. Maybe Rodgers is going for the 3-2-5 formation this season. Overload the opposition with average strikers!

Selling a top drawer CM like Vidal to fund a move for an average number 10 like Oscar (it'll most likely be him as Based Jorge says above) is a little odd, but hey, Juve losing Tevez, Vidal and Pirlo at least gives others in Serie A a bit of hope!

On Benteke, he's obviously a good player but it's a hell of a lot of money. And saw a stat that Liverpool put the least amount of crosses in the box last season so they'll have to change the way they play a bit to suit him!

Benteke highest amount of goals from headers last season.

Liverpool lowest amount of goals from crosses last season.

I remember when only the very best players got bought for £30m or more, like Zidane or Buffon. Now we get players like Benteke, Carroll, Luiz and Sterling going for that much. What a world we live in.
