In their time of need they turn to an unknown manager, Matt Donne. Matt is only a young manager, known locally with a few coaching badges under his belt. Can he get Sunderland back to the Premier League and to new heights?
Matt Donne will be a Local Level Professional footballer and hold a National A License as a club like Sunderland realistically wouldn't hire an unknown. I am not giving this save an agenda to follow but based on my previous saves, I tend to sign younger players and sell on and so forth. Similar models to Southampton and Ajax so I may implement these in to the save, but due to the nature of the task I won't commit to this solely.

This is the squad I've inherited from Moyes, I've promoted Youth team players J Robson, T Robson, Embleton, Asoro and Maja. With the latter 3 players all having good potential, I also have Lynden Gooch who is still in the U23's and Ethan Robson is also worth a mention.
Players to move on include Kone, Borini, Gibson, Matthews and Buckley and hoping to hold on to the likes of Lens, Defoe and PIckford who are by far the best players at the club

Both for Players and Staff.
Firstly, David Binningsley (Head Physio) and Robbie Cooke (Scout) have been poached by Bournemouth and West Ham respectively, understandable considering the imminent drop to the 2nd tier. I have already replaced Binningsley with David Hallam (from Wigan) and I have hired Phil Cannon as Head of Youth Development, he is one of the best I know of in the game so this is a bit of a coup, Neil Adams joins the coaching team and finally Mike Rigg (formerly of Fulham) has joined as Director of Football. For this transfer window I am putting Mike Rigg in charge of hiring staff.
On to players... No outgoings (both good and bad) and also 2 incoming transfers! Firstly the budget...
Considering the financial turmoil the club is in, not too bad in all honesty. So the incomings...
Gael Clichy (30k p/w 3 year deal) and Bacary Sagna (40 p/w One year deal). For the wages considering how good both players are was a steal and they will definitely be an asset to my squad for the Championship season. Especially considering I only have one Senior RB in Billy Jones and one LB in Bryan Oviedo. Whether these signings will upset the balance of the team remains to be seen but they were too good to turn down.
