Not bad for an 18-year-old to score on his international debut!

And I did my best to right a wrong:
Zapater is barely a shadow of his former self at this point, but I really want him to retire with us. Will hopefully become a member of our backroom in some capacity after that.

Are you going to try and get Neves on permanent deal?
Franck
I'll try, but someone like him will undoubtedly cost north of €20m. He's going to be absolute world class.
Franck
I put the big spender pants on for the first time this summer, spending a total of €18m. Gabriel Barbosa and Adam Maher were planned signings but Alcácer came to us by chance, he had been glued to the bench at Atlético for the entire season and the opportunity to buy him so cheaply was too good to pass up.
Manquillo and Martínez were loaned to fill the void after the loans of Reznik and Bellerín expired, Grimaldo is in on a two-year loan and will push Rúben into a backup role. Already mentioned Zapater earlier in the thread, one of the few times that I'll ever sign someone for purely sentimental reasons.
Not much to report here, especially given how dependent on loans the squad has been the last two years. Parted ways with Willian José as he couldn't carry on his great play at La Liga level and asked for more than double his wages. Padoin wasn't the right player for us and only made 4 appearances last year, so no big loss there.
Franck
Could just as well be a weak Champions League group. On the tougher side for the Europa League, but there aren't any real giants in it which is in my favour.

Having first options on one of the best clubs in Argentina could be huge for us. Looking at their squad there's at least 5 players I'm interested in.

Franck
Well the group stage wasn't too difficult!

More experience!
Franck
That's a really, really tough draw. Will need some very good fortune to make it through that one.
Franck
€4m for a player who could very well become world class, can it get better than that? Munir got lost between all the talent at Barcelona and only appeared in 4 league matches the last year and a half and didn't sign a new contract with them as a result. When he became available for a future transfer I offered him the best I could, turns out it was enough to convince him to move. Once the deal was done Barca were willing to let him go early for €4m. Munir might be the saviour who leads this club to glory, or he becomes the big transfer fee that lets us build a team that will, either way these are probably the best €4m I'll ever spend. Had to cancel Jaime's loan deal early to open up a registration spot, but that's hardly any loss.
A sceenshot of the man:
Obviously hasn't developed optimally given his lack of playing time, but still a very, very good young player. Two years with us and he'll be world class, no doubt.

Iirc, them two are Manchester City's strikeforce in my Torquay save.

A really tough loss for us, he's started nearly every single game for us since he joined and we don't have a natural replacement for him in the squad.

Last season was a work of wonder, this year is just mind-bogglingly great. Truly. I really can't understand how we can be so, so good. Getting Champions League football for the first time in club history would be amazing.

I might just make it through this tie after all!
Franck
Should have won that match comfortably. Very pleased to have gone through though, Napoli was very tough opposition and I was missing three of my very best players in Pajot, Misidjan and Ruben Neves.
Our opponents in the next round:
Definitely the easiest possible. They miraculously managed to knock out Villareal.
