Okay, the background story has now been done, posted etc and we all know where we are, haven't had too much feedback so far but that's because I've not started any game play, now is where I'm hoping everyone that is reading will take two seconds to answer this question and help me decide where to start and what they'd like to see.

The options are as follows:

- A - Take over Liverpool and take them back to the Premier League, eventually to European success.

- B - Take over one of the new Premier League teams and try to cement a place in the top flight and challenge the 'old' Premier League teams when they come up

- C - Take over both a top tier side and my beloved Liverpool and see what happens to both over the years, however this will take twice the game time, meaning I won't be able to get through as many seasons, potentially losing motivation for the save.

- D - Don't play this save and just use it as an experimental 'holiday' save and just skip on a year each time, updating what happens. (Then starting a proper career)

I'll leave it open to voting until Friday morning, then tally it up, see which one has the most votes and go from there.

B - Havant and Waterlooville

D - Holiday at least 10/15 seasons as then we can see how the game would naturally play through with all the changes

B,But I think it would be better to use a conference team, so you have a chance to be promoted

Problem though if he doesn't get promoted first season he is going to have tough teams coming up from beneath making it harder year on year

I shall speak with the database creator and see if he's happy I share it there.

I must say i think I'm most tempted to sim through holidaying and then start a proper journeyman save!

I would love to get my hands on version of it to not to steal your limelight just for my own personal fun haha and to sim into the future and see what happens

D - Holiday through, be interesting to see how the game reacts to this, might be a bit boring for you though.

Right now I prefer D, even after writing the opening post! But it'll be good to holiday through see what happens

B- i think it will be really interesting...But whatever you pick it WILL be interesting so ... just keep it up !

I'd rather you started at a club fella, regardless of who that would be with, I don't really care too much as you would do a good job with them guaranteed. Option D, holidaying for 10 or so years is also a good option - see how clubs do before starting with one of them, especially if a 'big boy' continues to struggle to get back to the top flight.

Or start unemployed with all coaching badges and whatnot (could be boring though) and manage the first 'big' club that sack their manager.

D - It would be interesting to see how it pans out, then take over a team after around 10 years.

Okay so instead of picking a team, I went on to just set up an unemployed manager and holiday through season upon season, see how the seasons develop and how the bigger teams fair through the leagues as they try and win promotion back to the top tier of English football. It'll be an interesting experiment which I'll try and keep to seasonal updates showing whats gone on each year.


The first 'redeveloped' Premier League saw Maidenhead run out as Champions as they won the title with seventy four points. They took the title by just three points as Hayes and Yeading finished second and qualified for Champions League football next season along with Gosport and Corby. There is Europa League football for Brackley and potentially Gloucester and Bradford PA. Its relegation for Wealdstone, Lowestoft and Curzon Ashton.


The Championship sees Ebbsfleet win the league with bang on one hundred points, they'll now fancy their chances next season in the top tier. Oxford City finish second and also win automatic promotion whilst Margate went on to win the playoffs to join the top tier. At the other end of the scale Basingstoke, FC United and Chorley all head for League One football next season.


Onto League one and it was a successful season for Eastleigh as they won the league to reach the second tier of English football, finishing the season with one hundred and seven points. Braintree finished second with eighty eight points to also win promotion whilst Woking finished in sixth and won the playoffs to reach the Championship. There was relegation for Welling, Southport, Aldershot and Guiseley.


League Two saw Carlisle win the league on the final day, pipping Notts County to the title by just two points as they both win promotion along with Leyton Orient. It was Oxford United who went on to win the playoffs which saw both Oxford sides promoted this season. Whilst Degenham and Redbridge and Crawley both fall out of the football league.


Wigan and Sheffield United win their way into the football league, Wigan went on to win the Conference premier with eighty nine points whilst Sheffield United finished third and won the playoffs to see them promoted. However at the other end it was Bury, Fleetwood, port Vale and Crewe who slip down to the conference North and South leagues.


The Conference North was dominated by the two Manchester sides as City won the league with one hundred and eight points and Manchester Untied finished second and won the playoffs against Liverpool in the Final to also win promotion. They finished with one hundred and three points and will both play conference Premier football next year around. Expectedly Rotherham, Bolton and Preston are all eliminated down to a non playable tier.


The Conference South ended up being a little less predictable. Arsenal did win the league, finishing with one hundred and fifteen points at the top, losing just once. And despite Chelsea finishing second with a massive one hundred and twelve points, they didn't win promotion, Southampton pipped the likes of Chelsea and Spurs in the playoffs to win promotion to the Conference National next season.

Remember teams in League Two would have been the strongest following switching around the leagues so no real surprise Morecambe winning the league. Not too many big transfers but here is what has happened last season.

Season One was almost as predicted, top teams beginning their move up the table as Arsenal, Manchester City and United all won promotion from the two bottom tiers to the Conference Premier whilst they were joined by Southampton and not the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea or Spurs. How would season two fare, would we see another new Premier League Champions too? Another season has been simmed through and ready to report back.


Gosport are the Premier League champions! They ran riot this year in the top tier of English football as they won the league with ninety points, a staggering seventeen point gap over second placed Hemel and Hempstead. Brackley finished third whilst Ebbsfleet, who won the Championship last year, finished fourth to take the last Champions League place. Bishops Stortford head to the Europa League. Margate stay up with a high finish however Oxford City head down finishing bottom, along with Weston Super Mare and Gloucester. Last seasons champions Maindenhead finished in ninth.


Eastleigh win the league again, they won League One last season and have gone on and won the Championship this season to reach the top tier. Surprisingly they've been followed by two other teams who have also won back to back promotions. Woking and Braintree both head to the Premier League, all three teams were in League one two seasons ago. No one went down for a second season, however Chelmsford, Bath and Hednesford all went down.


Carlisle and Oxford both win a second successive promotion, this time Carlisle winning back to back titles.They ran to a league win with one hundred and nine points whilst Oxford finished a point behind. Wrexham went on to win the playoffs. At the other end it was back to back relegations for FC United, Chorley and Curzon Ashton whilst Altrincham also went down to League Two.


There was back to back league titles for Wigan as they continue to grow as a club, they finished on one hundred and fifteen points whilst Sheffield United won a second promotion on the bounce finish second just two points behind. There was also promotions for Luton and Wycombe as they head to League One. Dropping out the football league were Welling and Guiseley both being relegated for a second season running.


Into the Conference Premier and it was joy for the two clubs from Manchester once again as they finished the top two. This time the red side of Manchester claiming the league title over their rivals with a massive one hundred and thirty one points! City finished also with a massive one hundred and twenty seven points whilst third place Arsenal win the FA Cup and head to the Europa League missing out on promotion despite having one hundred and twenty one points. At the other end Crawley and Dagenham and Redbridge are relegated for a second season whilst Scunthorpe and Southend also are relegated. Scunthrope also the first side to go into Administration


The Conference North saw Liverpool win the league this year to head to the Conference Premier, finishing with one hundred and three points whilst Newcastle will head up in second place having won the playoffs. Everton finished third. At the other end its goodbye to Fleetwood, Crewe and Workington who all fall out the playable leagues so we won't see them again next update.


And the Conference South, Chelsea win the league comfortably by four points over second place London rivals Tottenham who go up from second place. Chelsea complete the unbeaten season whilst at the other end it was the three teams that come up that all go down, Kingstonian, Rushall and Cambridge C, the latter finishing with just two points all season and scoring just twice! Bournemouth hit administration and lost ten points.

Thats how it is bmg033! Last seasons Champions League group stage for English teams were as follows:

Hayes and Yeading - 1 point (Drew to Olympiakos at home 1-1)
Maidenhead - 0 points
Gosport - 0 points

Europa League:

Arsenal - 16 points
Corby - 0 points
Brackley - 0 points


Three seasons now done and dusted and the leagues continue to change some as expected, some may be not quite how we expected, a couple teams begin to lose points due to administration etc last season and another team fell into administration again this season. Time to update you all on how season three unfolded through all the leagues and the cup competitions.


Its back to back Premier League titles for Gosport as they not only win a second consecutive Premier League title, but they complete the unbeaten league season winning thirty four and drawing the other four of their thirty eight games this season. Hemel Hempstead finished second for a second consecutive season whilst Ebbsfleet finish third taking the last Champions League spot as England appears to be down to three spots. Brackley finish fourth. Last seasons Championship top two, Eastleigh and Woking finished in fifth and seventh. At the other end it was relegation for Concord Rangers, Stalybridge and North Ferriby.


Wrexham win a third promotion on the bounce and therefore will play in the Premier League next season as they win the Championship. They will be joined by Carlisle who also make it three in three seasons along with Sutton United heading up. Gloucester City go down for a second season running whilst they are joined by Eastbourne Boro and Maidstone.


Wigan win a third title in three seasons as they clinch the League One title and are joined with three promotions on the bounce by Sheffield United who went on to win the play offs. Second place Wycombe are also heading up to the Championship as they finished in second place. At the other end Bath and Chelmsford both go down for a second season on the bounce, Bromley and Dover also head down to League Two.


Once again the Manchester sides dominate the headlines in League Two this year, joy for two of the sides, heartbreak for another. Manchester United take the league title winning forty four of their forty six league games this season, drawing one and losing one. Manchester City finish runners up with forty two wins from forty six, narrowly missing out on the top spot. Portsmouth finish third and Yeovil head up having won the playoffs. Altrincham go down for a second season running whilst FC United of Manchester go down for a third season in three.


Into the non league football and the Conference Premier was clinched by Liverpool as they sealed back to back promotions and now try to hunt down the two Manchester clubs. Forty one wins from forty six games clinched that top spot. Arsenal and Chelsea both miss out on promotion despite finishing in second and third as Tottenham beat them to promotion via the playoffs for their second promotion on the bounce. Walsall, Oldham, Welling and Guiseley all slip to the national leagues.


Everton seal the Conference North league title to bring joy to the blue half of Merseyside this season. They are joined in promotion by Sunderland who went on the win the playoffs and head to the Conference Premier. Stoke finished in thirteenth but did have ten points deducted for administration. Surprising to see Rotherham and Scunthorpe go down along with Darlington 1883.


West Ham win the Conference South and earn the unbeaten season title as they go without a defeat in the league. Only team this season to go unbeaten in all the leagues. They are joined in promotion by Norwich who won the playoffs. No surprises at the other end as Tonbridge, Dulwich Hamlet and Bognor Regis all head back out of the playable leagues.

I've battled through another season as we've now seen four pass us by. Gosport went into the 2018/2019 season with back to back Premier League titles, looking to make it a hatrick of titles. Both Manchester clubs had won three promotions on the bounce both looking to make it four. Will Arsenal and Chelsea escape the Vanarama Conference this time around? All that has happened throughout the season is right here.


Gosport make it three seasons on the bounce as they are crowned Premier League champions of the 2018/2019 season, a third successive title for the new Premier League giants. It was a second place finish for Ebbsfleet who finished eight points behind. Hemel and Hempstead finished in third and qualify for European football again. It was fourth place and Europa League football for Eastleigh. Margate, Bradford PA and Gainsborough all drop down. Surprised to see Wrexham, Carlisle and Woking not more around the top.


Same old story here, Wigan and Sheffield United both move up for a fourth successive season with Sheffield United taking the Championship title finishing five points ahead of Wigan in second place. Curzon Ashton Also head back to the Premier League. Oxford City, AFC Fylde and Solihull Moors all head down to League One football next season.


Another season dominated by the two Manchester sides as they, like Wigan and Sheffield United, earn a fourth straight promotion in four seasons as they dominated League One football and will face the Championship next year. Yeovil won the playoffs for a second season running as they are also heading to the Championship for next season. At the other end it was heartbreak for Kidderminster, Barrow, Hednesford and Boreham Wood as they all go down to League Two


Tottenham pip Liverpool to the League Two title by just five points after Liverpool fell into administration and had a twelve point deduction, robbing them of the league title, however they still win promotion as they finished second. There was also promotions for South West sides Plymouth and Exeter as they move up to League One for next season. Bath and Chorley are the relegated sides this season, Bath missing out on survival by a single point.


The Conference Premier saw Chelsea win the league title with a two point gap over Arsenal who finished second and despite their second place finish they have missed out on promotion once again as West Ham win the playoffs and now move to League Two, leaving Arsenal in the Conference Premier for another year. Surprised to see Swindon finish above Southampton. At the other end Blackpool go down with Burton, Altrincham and FC United who have been relegate four seasons running.


Four seasons on and of course there are still a couple Premier League teams sitting in the bottom tiers. Stoke win the Conference North league title on goal difference over second place Hull and despite matching Stoke for points they failed to win promotion as West Brom went on to finish the job in the playoffs after finishing in fifth place. Oldham, Colwyn Bay and Guiseley all go down.


Finally, the Conference South, Watford claim the league title by a five point margin over Cardiff who finished second, QPR finished third ahead of Crystal Palace. It was Swansea who joined Watford in heading up though as they win the playoffs from fifth place. Finally going down is Farnborough, Hampton and Richmond and Halesowen.
