He said last year that he'd retire in 2-3 years. I know he's gone back on his word before, but I think 10-15 years is a tad ambitious.

Aye, but he's confirmed he'll stay on at United in some capacity, hasn't he? It's not like he's going to be sitting at home waiting for death.

Yes, but the problem we had when Busby packed it in was that he stayed too involved with the club and completely undermined O'Farrell's authority.
So I think they'll be a fair deal of opposition to him being offered an important role at the club, I imagine he'll become an ambassador rather than anything else.
