Well this result was disappointing. We held on for so long and it all fell apart at the last minute. Hopefully the home leg will be better.

The results boosts us up to 167th. Next up is friendlies against Luxembourg and Vietnam. We could pick up some wins and club even higher.

So close. So so close. I was gutted with the late own goal. The scoreline reflects the run of play to be fair. It was a very well matched game.

If we play like that against Vietnam we should win.

Yes. The winless run of 8 matches is over. We dominated the game from the off. I don't see it turning in to a winning run though..

These results take us to 164th in the table. Still way of the record high of 104.

So with the recession and all I've had to take on a part-time job. The mighty Arbroath have taken me on boosting my pay packet to £1550 p/w (£1200 from the Faroe's and £350 from Arbroath).

The sit 4th in the Scottish Division 1, in the play-off spaces. Hopefully I can take them up this year.

So lets have a look at the club I've taken over. First of all the squad in pretty thin and I'm without a keeper for the next week. Should be fun. I do have a decent budget to bring in a few players will about £2k p/w for wages available.

We sit in a comfortable position in the table and if I get off to a good start we could get a play-off spot with 11 games to go.

I haven't had the best starts with Arbroath but were still in with a shout if we can get our act together in the next 2/3 months.

I brought in an assistant manager and scout along with Steve Howard as player/u19 manager as I had no staff. Also Hibs are our new parent team.

A massive improvement on last month. Hopefully it can continue next month and we can steal a play-off spot. Finally clocked up my first win and went undefeated this month.

All of my final four fixtures are against team currently above us in the league so these games will be worth double. Or as it goes 'a real six pointer'. But first its time for a trip to the Faroe Islands to take on Sweden and El Salvador.

A decent scoreline. If the remaining games all finished like this I wouldn't be too bothered. It would keep the goal difference down.

It would be nice to bounce back with a win over El Salvador.

I really thought this was a game we could have won. However it wasn't meant to be. The performance was ok, but not good enough to beat a pretty strong side.

I've arranged a friendly with Behram. It might be my last game, I'm not sure. And I'm not sure what to do with Arbroath, it was initially only a short term thing asI don't really want to manage in Scotland yet. It just depends on how the job market is during the summer.

Wow. What a month for us. It went down to the final day in the play-off race but we done it. My main singing Steve Howard comes off the bench to net a defining goal in the clubs history.

I was a little concerned towards the end as a point would have meant we lost out on goal difference. But then on the 86th minute, GOOOOOAAAALL.

We've reached the play-off final to go on and face Championship side Alloa. It been an amazing turnaround from my first month in charge to go 10 games undefeated.

We managed to hold out for the draw in the first leg and come from behind in the second leg to win 2-1 and book that final berth.

We done it. Promotion to the Scottish Championship. It was a tough result to take but we done it. Alloa were a much stronger team but we somehow won it by keeping the ball.

I'm considering resigning from the club and leaving as a cult figure.

A great result for us here against 111th in the world, hopefully it boosts us up a bit. Its great to see Edmundsson score again taking his tally to 5, half way there.

The result has spurred me on to remain as manager. The decision now is to leave Arbroath or not?

A decent result against a very strong team. I was happy just to score again and have a few attempts at goal.

I resigned from Arbroath after the promotion to concentrate on the Faroe Islands and look for a new club.

This is the group for the 2018 World Cup qualifiers. Impossible again. The only team I see us beating is Latvia at a push.

Yes. We have a point. And it was away! Edmundsson netting again to secure our only point of the competition. It gives me confidence going into the Cyprus match.

They dominated the game but we managed to hold on. Still no luck on the job hunt so I'll be around for the time being.

Ah so close to another upset. We took the lead and conceded minutes later but in the last 15 minutes we threw it away. Good news is we've now scored in the past 4 games.

This leaves us just 172nd in the table just 2 places above where I took over.
