Yeah I know not sure why and the budgets could defo have been better! Thanks mate! The aim is to stay up.

Pre season has been very poor a thumping win to end it but some really poor results before that



Have signed and loaned a few players, many who I had last season











And have sold quite a few too. Syers I didn't want to let go but it was very good money and we needed it to offer wages for the players we brought in.

Mid table finish is the lowest I can go for going to be very tough.

A great month to start off our league 1 campaign! One loss in the league and a great win over Forest!



We started off away at Swindon and we were very good hardly giving them a sniff and Hemmings on debut was very good in front of goal scoring 2 before half time!

Then we played Forest and we more than held our own and deserved to take the lead when Greg Halford headed a Della - Verde corner into his own net, we had chances to make it 2-0 but we were a bit short at the back and Simon Cox was free on the right and finished well into the far corner with just 2 minutes left extra time was not eventful so it went to penalties Dawson and O'Keefe missed our first 2 and I thought we were out but they missed their 2nd one! Howard,McDermott and Madden scored for us but they still had a pen to win but Taylor saved Nick Powell's pen! Tonge then scored for us and Mackie again missed for them and we won

We went back to league action and a tough game against David Syers and Brentford and we came out on top! Hemmings scoring inside a minute to continue his good goalscoring form unfortunately our lead didn't last long as Nabi headed in after just 5 minutes! Howard smashed us back into the lead though and we held out to win again

Next was on paper a tough game away at Preston but we smashed them! Brian Howard scored 2 inside the first 15 minutes one a long range strike and the 2nd was a poachers finish after a brilliant cross by Madden! Hemmings scored again after being played through by Howard and we were 3-0 up! They got one back before half time when a really poor Taylor kick found our ex loan player Hayhurst who tapped in that got me a bit edgy but we held out and even extended our lead in the last minute when a great cross by Dummott found Alex Jones (a new signing on loan from West brom) and he scored on debut!

But we suffered our first loss to bottom of the table MK dons we didn't play very well and Max Clayton gave them the lead with a fantastic finish we should have levelled earlier when Mirfin hit the post but we were back level through Howard again, another good cross by Howard was turned in at the near post! They then had a man sent off Hodson for 2 yellows on 68 minutes and we should have took the lead Winnall, Hemmings and Tonge all missing chances and in the 92nd minute we were stunned when a Kerkar free kick was missed at the near post by Jones and was turned in by Powell.

Then our reward for beating Forest was a home game against Stoke which was going to be tough and we played well but they were just better and we defended poorly a Maloney free kick lobbed McDermott on debut to give the an early lead we hit back quite soon when Purdue found McDermott to finish well! We had a chance to go 2-1 up but Madden missed when one and one. Crouch scored his chance though chipping the keeper Dummott gave away a silly penalty and Maloney scored a 2nd in first half stoppage time. Butland made a great triple save and Hemmings put another chance wide in the 2nd half.

The final game of the month was at home to Port Vale and we went behind again James Hayter heading in a corner but on the half hour we were back level a brilliant first time finish from Brian Howard! We were ahead very soon after Hemmings flick on was headed in by Ehmer almost on the line for his 1st for the club! 2nd half we sealed the win a brilliant pass by Howard found the young winger Lopez to score and a great finish across the keeper by Winnall our top scorer last season grabbed his 1st of this!




We sit top but it is very close! I am delighted to be top in my first season in league 1! Blackpool and Bolton are really struggling having just gone down. And Plymouth and Chesterfield who came up with us are also near the bottom!

I have signed McDermott on loan as Williams has a long term injury!



Alex Jones joins as another option up front won't play alot but he scored on debut!





Good awards! Howard was fantastic! Not sure how I came second but there we go.







Player of the month is ........... No surprise as it is Brian Howard! 5 in 5 games and a few assists too! So glad I sold Syers to bring him now!

Another great month! Delighted with 3 wins and a late draw



We started the month with a good win over Tranmere a great free kick by Brian Howard was turned in by McDermott from close range! And Hemmings finished it off after another good ball by Howard he finished a one on one!

Then we beat Mansfield at home! We missed numerous chances including Howard missing a penalty. But Winnall scored a fantastic goal right into the top corner! Brian Howard made it 2-0 with a brilliant free kick right into the top corner which got 2nd in the goal of the month! They got a late consolation after 81 minutes but we held out!

Then we had Coventry at home and I was pleased with a point as they went 1-0 and 2-1 up they took the lead when Vigen scored when one on one! Winnall scored his 2nd in as many games when Hemmings played a very good ball across! They went ahead on 51 minutes when Obeng made a silly tackle in the box and Daniels stepped up to score. We got a penalty of our won on 65 minutes and after Howard missed his last one Madden stepped up but his effort was saved too Mirfin also hit the inside of the post but finally we got a leveller Andy Dawson putting in a cross that went over the keepers head and all the way in!

The final game of the month we played Plymouth away, Donal McDermott was fantastic scoring 2 and assisting one! Winnall gave us the lead just before half time scoring for the 3rd game running when McDermott played a good cross and he tapped it in then with 20 minutes to go there was a scoring spree McDermott again after a brilliant first time finish off a madden cut back! When Lopez found McDermott he finished from the edge of the box to put us 3-0 up! And we made it 4-0 when they failed to clear a long throw and Ehmer scored from close range unfortunately we couldn't keep a clean sheet when Canavan missed the ball and Grella finished well.




Still top of the league! by 2 points to Crawley! Bolton really struggling at the bottom which lead them to sacking Paul Ince!









Player of the month is Donal McDermott scoring 3 goals and assisting too his goal against Plymouth was excellent!

Another unbeaten month although a few draws overall I was happy with how it went!



Well the first game was exciting and we were behind all game until going 5-4 up! They took the lead through Sanchez Watt on 31 minutes but we equalized right on half time as Brian Howard got his 1st right on half time the second half was mental, Watt putting them 2-1 up with his second off a corner,But just after the hour Paddy Madden equalized when put through one on one. But they scored 2 in 6 minutes and I thought that was game over Ibhere off a corner and Dunne with a very good strike. Brian Howard scored with a great finish to make it 4-3 with 12 minutes left. And with 8 minutes left we got a penalty when Eastman fouled Canavan off a long throw and Howard got his hat trick, And he put us ahead 2 minutes later Obeng's long throw was flicked on by Canavan and headed in by Howard and he got his 4th! But in an amazing game we couldn't hold on a terrible kick by McDermott going straight to Ibhere who scored his 2nd

Next we played very well in the JPT game just after the Colchester game! And again we played very well but this time we kept it shut defensively another master class by Howard 7 goals in 2 games! His 1st a fantastic finish across the keeper his 2nd poor keeping after being slipped in by Hemmings, and his 3rd a great cut back by Hemmings and he tapped into an empty net

Then we faced promotion rivals Crewe at home I was dissapointed not to win but a point each was fair we took a very early lead when guess who? Brian Howard played in Hemmings who finished well we stayed ahead until the 66th minute when Ehmer brought down Marquis and Moore just beat Taylor it could have gone either way but it ended up in a point each.

Then we had Rotherham at home and we didn't actually play that well but Paddy Madden came off the bench and had a stormer coming on at 0-0 after 65 minutes he grabs an amazing 4 goals his first he poked in, in front of the keeper from a Obeng cross then Winnall found him and he finished well into the corner his 3rd a penalty after he was brought down by Reid! And he got a 4th (our second player to score 4 in one game this month!) when Winnall played a fantastic ball over the top and he rounded the keeper and finished left footed

I went into the Walsall game expecting a win and things were going to plan when Tonge's corner was turned in by Ehmer from inside the 6 yard box and we went 2 up when their keeper tried to dribble out of the box Madden tackled him and tapped into an empty net a bad keeper error there but then they started playing really well and should have scored before the 70th minute but for heroics by Williams they would have done when Butler headed in from a corner it was no surprise and when I thought we might just hold on we conceded Esteban Lopez gave the ball away and then Canavan missed his header Williams threw himself in front of Mensahs shot but it fell for Mulholland who sided footed in They were the better team but I was disappointed not to win from 2 goals up.

Finally we went away to Blackpool and it was a poor game we restricted them to 0 shots on target and defended very well and we took our chances, Winnall scored when Howard found him it was a great finish at the near post and Howard settled it scoring a penalty when Robinson brought down Madden!




Still leading the away and have a decent gap to 3rd Bolton still doing poorly and are in danger of back to back relegations!

Well another very good month! Another FA cup 1st round exit is disappointing especially when we should have won! Also lost our unbeaten run but 5 wins is very pleasing



We actually played quite well against Sutton United but they scored a wonder strike and we missed chance after chance Howard missing the best of them

Next up we beat Bradford 3-1 it was a great response a good finish into the roof of the net by Madden put us 1-0 up and Rose scored a very good goal from the edge for his 1st goal of the season! They then got one back good work by Folan found N'Guessan to score. But on 88 minutes we made it safe another good Madden finish!

Next up we played struggling Bolton who had a number of young or not really good enough players out and I played quite a weak team too but we played really well Lopez giving us the lead after really poor defending and a stupid tackle by Pearson brought Della - Verde down and as neither Madden or Howard were playing O'keefe stepped up to score! And Della - Verde was played through to score early in the second half to secure 3 points!

Then we were in JPT action and we beat Notts County 2-0 they played poorly and we eased to win, Howard scoring again after good work by McDermott and Rose scored a fantastic finish across the keeper on the volley!

Away at Chesterfield was next one of the teams promoted with us! We dominated but Lee in goal for them had a great game up until the 88th minute when he made an awful mistake by dropping the ball and Hemmings tackled him so it fell for McDermott who tapped into an empty net! To give us an important win

We didn't play too well away at Birmingham but that is partly my fault as I rested a number of key players for the Crawley game and also Birmingham have won 8 and drawn 1 out of 9 home games they were 2 ahead quite early on poor defending and Sutton scored 2 with good finishes one Williams could have saved. Hemmings did get us back in the game right on half time a good ball in by Dawson was finished well on the volley from close range. And when pushing forward late on Chris Lester slotted in.

But my resting of players did help in some way because we won a big game against Crawley and it was almost all over inside 10 minutes Mirfin scoring at the 3rd attempt when they cleared his first two after just 5 minutes and Madden produced a great finish when one on one! Sinclair skied one miles over when he had an open net other than that we really did well!




Bolton doing really badly and they are running out of games where as we have a 6 point lead at the top!

Not good news we are struggling financially



He was on 2k a week and was back up left back and at the age of 36 he wasn't worth it even as player coach so he has gone and I got a new cheap! coach



Player of the month is ...... David Mirfin very good in centre back and scored too!

Amazing performance so far in League One! Really good to see, but devastated to see Coventry in the relegation zone.

It amazes me that they've reduced your wage budget when you are top of the league, but I guess the finances need to be tight at any club nowadays.

Thanks mate! I am shocked at how well it is going to be honest! Coventry are down there but they have a couple of games in hand so hopefully for you they can get out of it they played very well in an entertaining 2-2 draw at Glandford park!

Going Well George and Blimey How Bad Are Bolton Plus the 163M Debt Doesnt Help Either

Thanks mate! ha ha they are doing awful one of the highest wage bills in the league yet alot of their squad is full of young players! And yeah as you say they are insecure in finances and if they get relegated that will get worse!

Sorry this update took so long but I have been busy and also with other places in the site! But I have played another month unfortunately this month didn't go too well but we won the 2 really important games both Brentford and Peterborough were 3 points behind us when they played us and were huge games and we were amazing in both games! And we are also into the JPT north final!



Away at Leyton Orient we didn't play that well but defended solidly and a 1st minute goal by Howard gave us 3 points

Next was Notts County who were struggling but we were awful and all our good defensive work was undone we were 2-0 down on the 36th and 38th minutes which killed the game for us a Haynes header and a brilliant Sheehan free kick Grant Hall secured the win for them we should have at least grabbed one goal back if not two but we couldn't.

Then we had Fleetwood in the JPT north semi final and we played much better to win Fleetwood didn't play well but an own goal and a Ehmer header got us to Wembley!

We had a huge game away at Peterborough and we were fantastic the best we played all month! Inside 10 minutes we were 2-0 up through Madden and O'Keefe they got one back through Cole Stockton but before half time Hemmings had us back ahead and 2 Brian Howard penalties secured a great win over our promotion rivals!

But then our bad form came back against Carlisle we actually played quite well but missed so many chances. Their first was a Williams own goal when it went in off his back but Madden equalized for us just after half time against his former club, Lewis Guy had them ahead again 2 minutes later very poor defending but it was a fantastic finish again though we had a fan day today and again we lost which is the 3rd time and is really starting to worry me

Our home form this month was shocking 3 defeats and 4 wins away which is very weird, but we won the important games as Brentford were in 2nd place behind us before this game but we were really good again and we went 3-0 up with some fantastic finishes! Winnall scoring 2 inside the first half and we were rocking! Hemmings then scored a great goal after Madden had cut it back! And we were cruising but they made us stress with 2 goals off corners through Reeves on 73 minutes and Grigg on 83 minutes but we were able to held on for a important win!




Still got a good lead at the top but it is very tight behind us with 2 points between 2nd and 5th! Bolton have had a mini revival but are still big favourites to go down!

Player of month is Sam Winnall had a good month! Scored a few goals and worked very hard down the left wing

Firstly I am sorry this update took so long, I am been very busy with other saves and other areas of the site but I have managed to get another month done! A good month too 5 wins and a loss!



We started the month with a win over Preston who played very poorly, as although we played well they created nothing, and we were 3 up at half time through a Mirfin header off an Obeng long throw, Madden a tap in after a Howard shot was saved and Howard himself with a brilliant free kick

Next up was MK dons away and Brian Howard was again fantastic scoring 2 goals his first after a Madden knock down he slotted past the keeper and the second a penalty when Mirfin was fouled

Then we faced Port Vale away and Brian Howard got a hat trick so glad I sold Syers to raise the funds to buy him now! His first he poked in after a goal mouth scramble, then his 2nd expertly finished from just inside the box and he sealed his hat trick when Mirfins header was pushed against the inside of the post but he tapped, Berry Powel pulled one back from them on 54 minutes but we held on

We were brought back down to earth with a defeat over struggling Tranmere at home but they were in good form going into this one we played poorly and a goal in each half for them won it, Callum Harriet after poor defending on 13 minutes from close range and on 55 minutes Noble-Lazarus tapped in a Jennings free kick after poor defending by Della-Verde.

But we got back to winning ways beating Mansfield 3-2 despite going 1-0 down after Sam Clucas scored when we didn't defend a free kick but a Paddy Madden hat trick put us 3-1 up his first a goal from close range after a great ball by McDermott and he was fouled for the penalty which he converted to make it 2-1, and when McDermott found Madden again he finished into the far corner! They got on back when Sergio Torres found the far corner

We finished the month at home to Plymouth and we went behind twice but came through to win! We fell behind for the second game running, when Banton found Ramjai who scored after 15 minutes, but we were back level when Winnall played a fabulous ball which Madden controlled really well and finished it was a brilliant goal! But before half time they were back ahead an awful mistake by back up keeper Taylor as he kick it straight to Fogden who put into an empty net. We got level on the hour when a Howard corner was turned in by Mirfin! And we went ahead when Madden found Corby Moore and he passed it into the corner but the best was yet to come Howard from the corner of the box produced an amazing free kick into the top corner which I have entered into the goal of the month competition so give it a vote
