SOUTHPORT SIGN DAVID GROF
Former Walsall goalkeeper David Grof has signed a three year deal with Skrill Premier side Southport. Grof was released from League One side Walsall last season, making 10 appearances. It is unsure whether Grof will be brought in to replace current number one Danny Hurst or whether Grof will be back up.

Subs: Rutherford**, Konadu*, Poole, Spencer***, Mills.
Brilliant comeback which saw us move out of the relegation zone and grab only our third win of the campaign. I decided to give David Grof his first start for the club and to be honest, it was a horrible debut. We were 3-0 down after only 18 minutes before Ryan Doble and Carl Martin grabbed goals for us before the break. Soon after half time Amari-Morgan-Smith drew us level before Wrexham scored another to go ahead. Super sub Scott Spencer won the game for us, coming off the bench to grab the equaliser, then scoring after Jamie Milligan had put us ahead. We have Kidderminster next who are 3rd, will be happy with a draw.
League Position: 15th
Next Opponent: Kidderminster (H)
My Prediction: Southport 1-1 Kidderminster

We were expected to lose and to be fair, we didn't deserve to lose by this high margin. I decided to change my formation and go two up top, Grof was also dropped for Hurst who returned in goal. Hurst was unlucky to concede an own goal after the ball rebounded off the post and into the empty goal. As we were pushing on for the winner, Kiddy hit two late goals before Milligan grabbed a late consolation. We face Macclesfield away next who are 12th, another one I'd be happy to draw.
League Position: 19th
Next Opponent: Macclesfield (A)
My Prediction: Macclesfield 1-1 Southport

Scott Spencer was our hero once again, coming off the bench and grabbing us a draw against Macclesfield. Former Macclesfield striker Ben Mills put us infront in his first start for a while before Macc hit back with three goals, unfortunately their second goal was an own goal by former Macc defender Carl Martin. Scott Spencer then was brought off the bench to bag a double. We are now 18th, still out of the relegation zone but there are 5 of us on 17 points. We face Cambridge next who are second bottom so it's a must win.
League Position: 18th
Next Opponent: Cambridge (H)
My Prediction: Southport 3-1 Cambridge
