Super Spurs!
"We have finally pulled of the deal that the club have been chasing for the last couple of seasons" Leandro Damiao joined Spurs in what looked to be somewhat of a bargain deal for just three and a half million pounds. The Brazilian striker will add some much needed firepower to the Spurs front line. However rumours in the press are that the striker demanded high wages for his switch to White Hart Lane.
In what looks to be another piece of astute business by the new Spurs boss the club have signed Real Madrid and Portugal left back Fabio Coentrao for a fee in the region of five million pounds. Fabio has seen himself somewhat frozen out at the Bernabau and the deal is the latest in string of transfers between the two clubs following Luka Modric and Gareth Bale heading in the opposite direction.
Tottenham's spending continues with the arrival of 18 year old Brazilian centre back Doria from Botafogo for eight million pounds. Doria is seen as one of the worlds hottest prospects and its thought that Spurs have picked up a real gem with this signing. Rumours circulating though claim that a deal is in place for Napoli to take him straight out on a season long loan deal.
In what is said to be the final signing down in North London, Tottenham have picked up 18 year old central midfielder Will Hughes from Derby for a deal starting at five million pounds. The young Englishman is one of the countries brightest talents and has been a key figures in the Derby side as of late. He will however been loaned back to the Rams as part of the deal to help aid his development.
