Thanks Jamie!

Another record high for the club, meaning next season will also be a record high so every season to date we have finished in a new high position! Hopefully I will still be here.
I made this signing in March and have a lot of hope for this young lad to go far. He cost the club £250k from Shrewsbury and looks to be a good striker looking at his stats already!

Dan
I personally think he is first team ready and plan to play him up top with Crouch this season!
Dan
Wow! That was close, I had just six days remaining on my current deal and finally the board approach me with a new deal. Couldn't believe it took them this long to enter talks with me but I have now signed a new two year deal on six hundred pounds per week. Hopefully by the time this runs out, in two years time, I can have this side in the Championship!
I also requested the board build a new stadium....rejected!
Well, another sixty seven games played this season and we've done very well considering! We are now up to three hundred and seventy one games in charge over the past six seasons, two thousand one hundred and ninety seven days. We've won two hundred and eleven of our three hundred and seventy one game, fifty six percent. We've drawn sixty eight and lost ninety two, losing just seventeen games this season. Along the way we've scored six hundred and sixty four, conceded four hundred and fifty three with a good goal difference of plus two hundred and eleven. Six cup wins, three league wins, four promotions, no relegations.
Dan
Well the board are backing us with money again, which is great to see but I've decided to tell them I will avoid relegation again this season. In all honesty if we can build in the right areas I only feel we can get promoted and go up this season again but it will need to be built right with the massive gap in our wages!

Couldn't believe it took so long to come pal but least it did! Now time to get the squad in shape!

Transfers Out:
Another busy summer for us with players departing the team thats for sure. In total eight exits were made this summer, five full time departures along with three loan deals. We ended up making just over half a million pounds in sales as David Bentley joined Championship side Newcastle for two hundred thousand pounds whilst reliable keeper Matty Edwards had his time to depart, joining League One side Fleetwood whilst Ragalan joined Bolton.
Transfers In:
Seven new faces joined the club this summer after a big exit list and I'm very happy with every player we've managed to bring in. Firstly as you've already seen, our only transfer we spent money on, Emeka Okafor, the young striker joined the club. I was then very pleased with the free deals we brought in. Aaron Tshibola looks a very good central midfielder at twenty four for this level whilst French defensive midfielder Seko Fofana also looks a fine purchase for us. Young defenders Tom Grundy and Cain Bailey were scouted at a trialist game and were too good to give up on. Then I found my new number one for a couple of seasons at least. Thirty two year old Mark Howard will do brilliantly between the sticks!
Finances:
The finances are back on track and looking brilliant, mainly due to the half a million pounds we've brought in from transfers but also thanks to television rights we have more than sorted them out after finishing in the red last season. We now have over eight hundred thousand pounds to spend on transfers should we need to bring in anyone else as well as over five thousand pounds spare in wages each week.
Friendlies:
Possibly one of the most pleasing summers on the pitch we've had, definitely a lot of confidence to take from this summer as we ended up facing nine friendlies, claiming six wins, one draw and just the two defeats, expectedly against Arsenal and maybe Barnet however we held our own against Hearts which was pleasing. We also managed to keep six clean sheets from nine games!

Did you ever approach them or just wait and see mate? Glad you're staying on though.
Dan
Thanks Jamie, we certainly done the business this summer!
Dan
Nope I left it in their hands!
Dan
I feel we have a really good team here and one that can actually challenge for promotion again this season, well hopefully at least playoffs! The minimum expectation is for us to avoid relegation and hopefully we can do that! We just need to keep on battling through the games as they come thick and fast which they will
Shedender
Perhaps you should have approached them, maybe got it sorted sooner.
Dan
Nope I left it in the hands of the board!
Shedender
How's Paul Kellett doing, is he still attracting interest and bids or not lately?
Dan
No we haven't had any teams interested in him lately, which makes me question whether we should of sold him for a million a couple years ago!
Dan
Delighted with how we have started life in League One, we've already played five games in the new division and have taken it by storm as we remain unbeaten for the season so far, winning three and drawing the other two. In the Capital One Cup it wasn't as good news. We faced Championship side Crewe who we took all the way to penalties and then lost out 9-10 as our keeper missed and Crewe' keeper netted. Delighted that we've kept three clean sheets in our opening six games.
I said last season I was confident we could challenge for the top this season and it looks like I may have been a little bit more on the money than I thought! We have flown straight to second place after the opening month, trailing Doncaster by a single point. We are the only side who are unbeaten this far into the season Fellow newly promoted sides Leyton Orient are fifth and Southend are fourteenth.

Dan
Thanks George! Not sure about winning the league but I tip us for promotion thats for sure!
Dan
Remaining unbeaten in the league and advancing in the Manchester Premier Cup, thins are more than definitely going our way so far! We smashed Millwall five nil in the first game of the month and then smashed Bradford four one on the last game of the month! In control so far with another clean sheets! We are playing a defensive tactic which seems to be working this far and still providing us with plenty of goals.
Still the only side left unbeaten in the competition but we certainly aren't breaking away just yet! Crawley are hot on our heels, level on points with us however we actually lead them on goal difference! Slightly strange situation for us to be in! Scunthorpe are only a further point behind to along with Swindon in fourth.

Dan
Thanks mate, its been pretty routine so far!

Dan
I said at the end of last season I think we can do it this year, there isn't a huge gap between the quality in league one and two I feel!

Dan
Certainly was cut fine but the way we've started the new season I'm delighted I got the new deal! Thanks man!
