Avoid. Like. The. Plague.

Worst purchase I've ever made, i hate it.

The stuff that were simple on the 360, is now complicated to fuck.

I'm sticking with the 360. Xbox One doesn't look like anything special to be honest.

Aye there's nowhere near enough games that aren't available on last gen to making buying a current gen console a worthy purchase, yet.

Pre-ordered WWE 2k15 for PS4, which means I'll need to buy one soon.

Gonna wait for a FIFA 15 bundle though I think, cos there's no real other games apart from UFC that I'd play

I heard a lot of people say that, and whilst I've never had any problems with it, I got what they meant as soon as I tried the new one.

Mine works great.

Haven't used it for like 3 months though. Getting the most awesome car right off the bat in Forza kind of sucked the fun out of it, and there aren't really any other games released yet that I'd be interested in.

Today we’re revealing a new way for gamers to play more EA games. This is something we’ve never done before and we’re really excited to share it with you.

We have partnered with Microsoft to deliver EA Access, an all-new monthly (or annual) membership for gamers exclusively on Xbox One that starts at just £3.99 a month. The service is being rolled out in beta to a limited number of players today, but it will launch for everyone on Xbox One soon.

EA Access membership unlocks The Vault, a collection of EA’s biggest games on Xbox One ready for you to download and play. During the beta, gamers will have unlimited access to four great EA games: EA SPORTS FIFA 14, EA SPORTS Madden NFL 25, Peggle 2 and Battlefield 4™, with more titles being added soon. That’s over £100 worth of games for £3.99 a month. You can play these EA favourites as much as you want with the click of a button.

EA Access is a totally new way for you to play more of the games you love, for less. Here’s a rundown of the additional benefits EA Access members will get:

Awesome Value – Besides the great games in The Vault, EA Access members will save 10% on purchases of EA digital content for Xbox One offered through the Xbox Games Store. From full digital-download titles like the upcoming Dragon Age™ Inquisition or NHL®15, to additional membership services such as Battlefield 4 Premium or even FIFA Ultimate Team points, it’s all 10% off for members.*

Play First – Membership in EA Access lets you experience trials of new EA games up to five days before the release date.* It starts with Madden NFL 15, NHL 15, FIFA 15, NBA LIVE 15, and Dragon Age: Inquisition, but more are on the way. If you decide to buy the game, your progress will carry over so you can pick up right where you left off.

You can join EA Access for just £3.99 per month, or you can purchase an annual membership for £19.99 per year on Xbox LIVE®.

Soon, fans of GameStop will be able to purchase their EA Access membership in local retail stores. GameStop and Amazon will also carry EA Access memberships for Xbox One gamers across Europe, as well as EB Games in Canada.

Excited to check it out? EA Access will launch on Xbox One soon. You can find more information on the program at the EA Access website.

Stay tuned!

I don't fully understand what this actually is.

Do you pay £20 for the year and play any EA title when you wish? If so how does that help them? Or is it for certain periods of time, or something, its not very clear.

Its not as good a deal as it would first appear, there's like 5 games available to play atm and any future EA games you get early (like a demo period) then once its released you can buy it but with a 10% discount.

So basically you only get to play the games EA allow you to play as much as you like while still having to buy the new releases, which i imagine will include FIFA,NFL,Battlefield etc

With the new games its similar to what they did with the EA season ticket thing. Then you get to play some of the back catalogue too
Jason

But will the back catalog of games ever be removed? So for instance, Peggle 2 is on there at the moment, in say 2 years time will Peggle 2 still be there?

Got to be cautious with EA, they're cunts.

It might be removed but it wouldn't matter because you download the games to your Xbox so you'll always have them on there while you continue paying for the service

I suppose that makes sense, gonna get it for the first year just to get FIFA 15 early

Its available for everyone on the dashboard now, just search EA Access Hub.

Has anybody ever played that RockSmith guitar game? Sort of the same as Guitar hero, except you use a real guitar as the controller plugged in via a jack/usb cable. It's supposed to teach you songs on the guitar.

It looks quite good but is pretty dear, was just wondering if anyone had tried it?
