The Chairman(ager)

During this career I will be the manager of Everton. Only this time with a twist. I will only manage my team during match day, which means that I only make tactics and sit on the bench during the match. All the signings, contract renewals and such are done by the president of the club. Which means I have to cope with everything that he has in store for me.

The primary goals of this career:
Win the FA Cup
Win the Premier League
Win the Champions League
Become the greatest manager of all time (by barely doing anything)

Possible secondary goals:
Win the Capital One Cup
Win the Community Shield
Win the Europa League

I am running this save with the latest Summer Transfer Holiday Pack, which makes the squad look like this:

I've set all the responsibility's to other staff member, most of it has been assigned to the president. Let's see what he has in store for me.

Sounds interesting. Curios to see the state of your squad after a season or two after contract renewals/selling players etc. I expect to see a few u18s having to dive into the deep end

Pre-season is over, let's see what has happened

Transfers

The players going out were all players, who I wasn't going to use regularly, so when the right offers came in, I decided to sell them.

Pretty happy with this signing looking like he's going to be a quality player in a couple of years! For now they put him in the U21's.

Still hoping on some reinforcements, while the transfer window is still open.

Finances
After completing 'all' the transfers, the finances are looking good, and we currently have a bright future in front of us. As long as the president doesn't make a mess of it all.

Enough talking about transfers and finances, now it's time for our pre-season results.

I know it doesn't say much, but i'm quite satisfied with how pre-season went, and I'm hoping it'll go on like this in the beginning of the new season.

Nothing shocking, just wanted to share it. All players who I plan on using during this season.

I hope to get at least 6 or 7 points out of this start, which should be possible to achieve.

While this kind of scenario frightens me, I hope the president will use his brains and make me proud.

Ha ha. Pretty good I think. But he started it a couple of seasons in, when the squad was already the best in Sweden and there were a lot of money from European football in the bank. I think he decided to start it after a board take over.

The Chairman(ager) Update 1

With a relative easy start to the new season, we wanted to grab at least 6 points. Did we make it?

Results
Simple answer, no we didn't. Our results:

We played really well in all games, but just didn't score enough to win games. We had opportunity after opportunity but we just weren't fatal enough in front of goal.
I was really disappointed in Samuel Eto'o and Romelu Lukaka, my 2 main strikers playing together up front.
In 3 games they managed to score a grand total of 0 goals and both, (especially Eto'o) playing really poor.

Transfer talk
Transfer window is now closed and nothing much has changed. The president decided not to buy anyone after our first and apparently final signing of the summer. Our only activity was selling this guy:

Tactics
This leaves my tactics to look like this, I made two this time around. One is going to be used when playing at home and some weaker opponents and the other one will be away and against strong opponents.
