Trouble with 7zip

I'm having trouble changing a RAR File with 7 zip.

I can't find anywhere that gives the instructions on what to download. The 7 zip link on here takes me to a website to make a domain page, which I am guessing is not the right one.

I googled it and I think I found the right page, however their is so many to download I have no idea which one is the right one. I have Windows 8 if it helps. Also once I download it, can someone explain how I extract it? The version I downloaded now does basically nothing, does not even appear as an option to extract it.

What link are you following to try and download 7zip? If it's a dead link I would really like to remove it.

To download 7-zip you should be able to go here: http://www.7-zip.org/download.html

Now you will need to know if you have a 64 bit or 32 bit system, if it's 64 download that one, if it's 32 you can download either of those it honestly doesn't matter.

If you literally have no idea if you have 64 bit or 32 bit and have no idea at all what you want, then the safest best is to download the 32-bit exe. This should still work

It's on the Cut out faces mega pack page.

I've downloaded it, but how do I convert it to a zip file? Or do I use a converter online?

What do you want to convert to zip file, the cut out pack? If so you don't need to just right click on it and then click 'open with' and use 7zip. If its not in the list then pick 'choose default program' and then you can manually pick 7zip from your PC's folders.

Hi there,

I've downloaded the mega pack right after subscribing to your website. The folder is quiet heavy but is it the reason why it's taking sooooooo long to transfer the folder (once the download is finished) to the "finder" (im using a mac). I used Izip to unzip the folder... which works but I've been waiting 4 hours now and only 400 faces added to the graphic folder...
Any suggestion ? Maybe it is much faster with 7zip ?
Just waiting everything to be on transfert to the graphic folder before I start a season ... I CANNOT wait ! Looks like its gonna take 2 days ..

That does seem excessively long. Are they on separate hard drives by any chance? 7zip may be an improvement i've never used lzip.

For me it takes about 5 minutes.
