Does AI upgrade facilities over long term saves?

Any help would be appreciated. Just wondering if AI improves facilities over time or they stay at the defaults. I understand there are factors involved such as reputation and the like. An example being if you played a Faroe Islands DB and played the game long enought to have multilple CL and EC places,have maxed out your clubs facilities and increased division/nation reputation would the other AI clubs follow or would you have to manage them to get their facilities upgraded. Thanks again for any help.

They improve stadiums sometimes so I would imagine they do

Disappointing to hear that. Would have hoped that if a nations reputation improves then so would the newgen quality.

I believe reputation plays some role in it as well, but I'm not sure.
