Gendo - I'm confident with that draw to be honest. As For Odegaard, he's showing promise already in his cameo appearances, he could push to be starting games next season I think
Crane - I thought that too with Hernanes and Guarin, very annoying. Rannochia has dropped back out of the team but Juan Jesus has been something else!
DP91 - So you kind of support this but don't really support this? Icardi has been fairly sporadic for me, having some good patches and then dropping out of the team due to really bad form, averaging 5-6's at some points
SBR - Good idea using fraps, it's a strange error for the game to have though! As mentioned earlier Odegaard is progressing nicely in his first couple of months
TheMazzeRunner - Thanks mate
GMFCRyan - Thanks...this next month doesn't really follow suit!
K3VO - Cheers Kev, hoping it would bring a bit of light entertainment to you all
Jamie3 - Thanks Jamie
Thanks to all of you for reading, I think we've already topped the amount of comments I had on my Bilbao save!
---------------
Oh how the mighty have fallen. A terrible month in which our only wins came in the Europa against Danish minnows Midtjylland and made me reconsider my sanity for continuing to play FM and certainly for writing up this save! I reckon I'm a definite contender for SUSIE's Worst Player
The Napoli result would usually be seen as a good one, but given that they are below us I am not best pleased!
Fiorentina in the cup saw a completely new 11 from the previous game and we were 2-0 down very early on. Icardi came from the bench to level it for us with two goals (one very, very late) only for us to then go through extra time and penalties and still get knocked out.
Cesena was a lifeless performance and lead to a slight change in our formation, pushing one of our defenders into the midfield to create a 4-Diamond-2 formation which I'll show you all if it's successful!
We played Udinese with a number of suspensions and injuries and arrived to the game very lacklustre. It showed in the result.
FINALLY A WIN! In truth, Midtjylland were poor and Palacio decided he'd just win it for us with no hassle. A goal from kick off set us off on a good stead, we dominated throughout but I am annoyed at conceding that late goal
Struggling Lazio were then gifted some points from us. We started with the team that beat Midtjylland in the hope of generating a little run of form which didn't come. It was nice, however to see academy graduate Ibrahima Mbaye get his first goal for the club
We then finished off Midtjylland with a boring display and Dani Osvaldo scoring his first goal in ages to secure a 2nd Knockout Round tie for us with PSV of Holland.
This month left us stuck in 8th.
Other Random Stuff
A few things from the board that I thought I'd mention. The win against The Other Lot really appears to have bought me some time, as that was in our very fruitful January and they're still talking about it... although so was the Juve defeat...
In terms of finance, it was great to see that almost half of our shirt sales are coming from abroad. I'm hoping that some of this is down to our Japanese link and not something that was happening anyways (as I won't feel as clever then!)
Finally
Freddy Guarin left us for Everton on deadline day (which was early Feb hence not in the last update) and I forgot to screenshot it. We got £6m for him which is decent given he's mainly been a sub, he's not Italian (which helps in my head) and is heading towards 30. Add to the fact that he just shoots all of the time (see comment from Crane and I was almost happy to see the back of him. Odegaard will deputise fro Hernanes.
41 year old Marco Materazzi returned to the club as a player/U20 coach for no other reason than BECAUSE. He played in the Fiorentina cup defeat, becoming our oldest ever player in the process. Odegaard is actually our youngest, so we have two record breakers in our ranks
Crane
On another note, I sent Osvaldo back in January. He rarely impressed, I switched from 2 strikers to 1, and Zaza, Palacio and Icardi (goal a game in Serie A) were all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Johno - Very bad month, hoping this one makes up for it!
Jamie3 - Thanks mate, hoping this month doesn't disappoint
Dan - Very poor! Juve are something else in this league, they really are
Cheers again to all of you for reading

Much better.
Verona and Sampdoria were both fairly lacklustre, continuing on from February I presume, in one we took our chance(s) and in another we didn't it really was that simple.
The PSV away tie saw us set up to defend and maybe nick one away goal to help us out. Icardi decided he'd go and get us two, leaving us with a nice lead going into the second leg a week later
The same team started against Torino and we dominated throughout. Possession in this game was just shy of 80-20 which is a phenomenal feat and something that has really taken off since moving to our diamond midfield. Icardi scored a worldie to continue his nice little run.
The second leg against PSV saw them come at us all guns blazing, however 17 year old Federico Bonazzoli continued his goal-a-game record by arriving late as a sub to score the goal that secured a passage into the quarter finals for his home town team. Ledge.
We then travelled to Florence where I rewarded Bonazzoli with a start and again he did not disappoint. I keep forgetting to screenshot him but his stats aren't all that impressive, yet he really is making me consider giving him a much bigger role in 2015-16.
Table
That leaves us slowly climbing the table with 10 games to go, miles away from the Champions League spot that I wanted which could put extra importance on our Europa League run. Juve have the title all but wrapped up with 10 games to go
Europa League
We face Everton in the quarter finals with a semi final tie against Shakhtar or Besiktas if we get through... let's face it, it'll be Shakhtar!

I really enjoyed my year in the EL tbh, you get to face different teams, in the CL it's usually the usual suspects. I knocked out Mainz, Porto, Wolfsburg and Tottenham on my way to the final. Beat Litex on pens after a boring 0-0.
Completely ripped up my squad for the second season. Palacio, Guarin, Vidic, Hernanes & Ranocchia all leaving and possibly Juan Jesus after Dortmund bid £4m upfront and £36m over 24 months.

Dan - not the worst draw we could have had but still tough
Crane - good to see you're doing well, hoping I can replicate you in the Europa. Feel free to stick a thread up and show us what you've done differently
Johno - It's not me selling him, it's Crane , I think he threw Dan with a league screenshot earlier too! We're just testing you!
Thanks for the comments again, hopefully have an update to this over the weekend

We continued our good form of March into the Palermo game, picking up the win
Against Parma we came from 2 down to level and then throw it away once more, similar to a game earlier in the season (my memory fails me) where we probably should have pulled back after levelling but I got too excited in turning it around. Hindsight opportunist.
The first leg against Everton could have gone a bit better. We lost to a Pienaar screamer meaning that we'll have to do something special at Goodison to turn around the deficit.
The Sassuolo game was as boring as a boring 1-0 can be. Nobody cares about that really do they? We're all looking at the next result
Everton round 2 and wow. 2 early-ish goals from Palacios and Osvaldo meant that Everton had to come out and win the game, this really showed in the last 10 minutes as they went all-out attack allowing PDO to wrap up his hattrick and our ticket to Ukraine to face Shakhtar.
A second string took on Empoli with Icardi bagging himself a couple and us the points.
Finally Roma we took the lead but they really were too strong in the final 10, turning it around to take the win.
May could be the making of me, or the death of me! We face 2 games against Shakhtar in the Europa League Semi's but also Juve away and The Other Lot at home, hopefully followed by a Europa League final!

What a lovely start to the month. One of my top performers is kicking up a fuss about wanting to play in the Champions League, something he came to me about at the start of the season and I said he could go if we don't get there this season (at this point we still could via the Europa League). Buffoon. Anyways, that article says it didn't affect the team but I can assure you it did, infact the next message was "squad demand meeting" followed by the chairman demanding "a meeting about performance" which was actually also about Naga. Morale sunk, just what we needed before our biggest month yet!
The League
The game against Chievo was pretty sweet, Palacio continued some fine form grabbing a hat-trick and then smashing one off Balanta's back for him to get on the scoresheet too.
Balanta scored again in an odd 2-2 draw with Genoa which saw both teams lose 3 players to injury, enforcing all subs to be made before the 60th minute. Luckily none of them were serious for our lot.
The Naga incident happened just before the Juve game and I think it showed. It was poor really and we lost it despite taking the lead in the 73rd minute, a game that was very similar to our "home" tie against The Other Lot meaning we both won infront of our opposing fans. Odd.
Finally we wrapped up the season at Atalanta where Palacio scored his 20th goal of the season followed by his 50th in an Inter shirt.
We finished 7th which isn't bad but way off where I'd hoped. We'd have needed another 11 points or so to hit the CL spots, which I think we could have had if I'd been a little less gung-ho in some of the games at lesser teams.
Juve are a joke.
Europa League
Well, something I didn't expect was to beat Shakhtar 8-1. Having scouted them prior to the game I thought that if a miracle was to come, we'd have hoped for the best out in Ukraine and then scraped the win back in Milan. How wrong I was! We countered in the away tie (as ever) and managed an incredible 3 away goals, with Hernanes' effort definitely being the pick of the bunch as he rocketed home a free kick from 40 yards.
In the home leg they came after us, after all they had to find at least 3 goals. Maybe they started a little early as we managed to put them to bed by half-time, netting an insane 5 in the first 40 minutes and sending us on our way to Poland for the final where we'll face Spurs who smashed Fiorentina 4-0 in both legs of their game.
The Europa League Final
WE DID IT, WE MADE HARD WORK OF IT BUT WE DID IT!!!!
Palacio continued his goalscoring form to net both of our goals. Having pegged them back to 1-1, I did fear the worst when Bobby Soldier put the Londoners back in front straight after half time, thankfully Pally came back up for us to level it.
In the shootout, Palacio scored once again, taking the pressure penalty. Eriksen then missed for Spurs but we couldn't capitalise as Yann M'Vila signed off a shaky performance with a horrid miss, allowing Spurs back in.
Both teams then kept scoring until Aaron Lennon ballooned one over the bar and handed us the trophy.
Very pleased with that, it's pretty much kept my interest going in this save!
Undecided on what to do from here, there may be a drastic overhaul, there may not. Let's see how I'm feeling next time I'm playing!
All the best guys.

Johno - League was awful really an needs to improve this year as the board want a title challenge! Not sure that's realistic but whatever. Cup was glorious
Gendo - AS above with the league, need to really push on this year! CL will be about giving a good account of ourselves and blooding some of the young Italians when we get the chance
SBR - Juve are waaaaaaay too strong! Thanks
DP91 - Thanks mate, here's hoping it won't be too long for sure!
Dan - We've got a bit of money to play with but my self-imposed Italians rule has made it tough. How you did that with English players at Man United last year is beyond me!!

Summer 2015 (So Far)
I was going to do a squad review etc but given that I can hardly remember who did what I doubt you will either Just going to crack on and show some transfers and preseason. We have the Super Cup and Champions League Qualifiers this yer and so we're starting early, hence I will give a final transfer update at the end of August.
Anyways, where to start? How about an apology for the sizes of these images? No consistency I just went with the flow.
After his kick off about wanting to leave towards the end of last year, I took the opportunity to shift Naga and picked up a tidy some from PSG for the privilege. That's DOUBLE his value and allowed me to replace him with another player you all won't be surprised to see me sign.
Yup. Another Newcastle player in Santon, following Krul last year. The difference this time is that Santon is Italian, only 24 and half the price of the guy I've just sold which I class as good business. He's also an academy graduate which is a lovely addition to boot.
Probably the keeper i should have signed last year is this guy Scuffet (hopefully his name isn't a reflection on his kicking abilities.) £8m seems steep for a second keeper (for now) but the fact he's 19 and Italian meant I didn't really care. I could get 15 year or more out of him if he develops.
Sabelli comes in on the cheap as cover really but I'm sure he'll see plenty of games as the Complete Wing Back setting I use tends to have a habit of working players hard and tiring them out. At 22 he can progress with us.
Another young defender joins us, this time from rivals Roma. Romagnoli spentt last season on load at surprise package Sampdoria and in my eyes I think he can push Vidic out of the team
No prizes for guessing which area of the team I was looking to strengthen over the summer? This is down to conceding a fair few, old age and the stupid reason that Dodo had a transfer arranged with us but it's not until NEXT year which is ludicrous. When he arrives I'll probably ship him out cause he'll be old and still foreign.
I also realised that I can't spell ludicrous and instead initially opted for Ludacris (the rapper).
Mario is the one non-defensive player I've signed so far this summer (remember it's just August now) and he comes "in from the cold" of Russia, a pun that even FM has made. £7m probably is steep but it was about 3am and I couldn't be bothered to negotiate, that was his release clause and I had money to burn.
In terms of transfers out, I'll update that when the window closes as there's LOADS going on an the total is constantly rising
Finances
Money wise things are going well and our success has obviously helped there too. Sponsor money rising is always a nice thing to have and foreign shirt sales (which I hope are from our feeder) are looking good too
PreSeason
Finally there was some actual football that happened, all fairly meaning less but football none the less. We seemed to struggle out in Japan but turned it around once we got into a rhythm.
Next up we'll have the Super Cup, Champions League Qualifiers and the first games in Serie A alongside a proper transfer round up
Dan
I remember, this, thoroughly enjoyed it too its so worthwhile once it starts going right, it took me a couple years!
Some good additions this year mate
SBR

SBR - cheers. He is yeah, he had a couple of good shows against us last year so glad I could get him early before the likes of Chelsea and City etc get involved (no doubt) in the next few years.

Super Cup
Lovely. Another trophy for the cabinet and a decent performance having gone a goal down, making changes due to injuries and still turning it around. Liverpool were very strong and had the ball for a lot of the game, interesting to see they managed to win the Champions League on their return too!
Champions League
In our CL qualifiers we took on French Surprise package Toulouse who we beat 1-0 in both legs. The 1-0 away was bang average, keeping possession but not really penetrating, similar to our home game where a late penalty finally settled the nerves, given that there was still only 1 goal in it. I would have liked that to be better but at least we got through.
Decent. A trip to Arsenal will be a big test for us but i think we should be able to get past Fenerbache and Metalist to reach the knockouts which is what the board desire. UEFA seeding really has helped me out here!
League
To wrap up the actual football in August we had 1 Serie A game against newly promoted
Chicken CottageBari. We normally shake in these games but we managed to get the win this time around and do so quite comfortably in posession. Santon the Geordie gave us the lead through a goal that has since been voted second in goal of the month. A Palacio pen wrapped up the daySBR
