I managed to bring a Romanian rb (Alexandru Matel) to my Middlesbrough team on the back of a conversation i had with him before offering a contract, i basically promised him he'd be a part of history by helping us get promoted. It's currently the end of September in my first season and he's already kicking off that I haven't kept my promise... what the actual eff?

I've had similar to this, saying I'd replace a left back that left us. I've since signed 3 left back (first team, cover and u18) and the guy still isn't happy

I often get this stuff in my game if im not in the position that they expect me to be in but at end of season if im successful in that position in my case qualify for CL some was unhappy but at end when i got the qualification they said they happy to stay etc.

Its a pain but often some can be ignored sometimes as long as you give them as much games you can and or produce the results.

some players that wanted more games but are my future players and or backup players i sometimes sent a loan offer out and picked a team they hardly get games at so after a while they got unhappy on loan and wanted to stay things like that help. not ideal if he young and needs games to improve then you best trying a loan and lower level team for them.

he's playing every game he's fit enough to, and i'm currently top of the championship. i signed him in the summer and it's like he expected me to get promoted by november. odd.

Romanian football is notoriously corrupt, you must acclimatise him to the pure bred ways of the Smoggy.
