So my career as Bath City manager has begun. After several meetings with the board, fellow backroom staff and players. I began assessing my squad and searching the transfer market for suitable players to add to the squad. (pictures to follow)

Quite an overlooked city in the world of football.. Could be an interesting save, think people forget that Bath has a huge population and is not only just a tourist city!! Should be interesting when you get into the football league.... The topic reminded me of a Culture Club and now I'm listening to it - thought that would be worth a mention

After assessing my squad including new signings I have decided the play a narrow 4-3-1-2 and met with the chairman in an attempt to add attacking football to the clubs philosophy. My best starting eleven (shown below) I was ready to begin my league campaign.

I was extremely intestered and slightly surprised at the low expectations for Bath City this season under my guidance!

I personally believe I can lead the side to a top 5 finish with a chance of play-off success, but we shall see how the season pans out and whether I can be as successful as I hope!

For my first league game - we travelled to south to Essex to face Concord Rangers. We were unfortunately held to a draw, but being my first game in charge and away from home, I was pleased with the performance of the lads, especially the character shown to fight back into the game twice.

Our second game came round fast and we welcomed Basingstoke town to Twerton Park. Basingstoke and won their first game of the season beating Hemel Hempstead 1-0 at home. I was confident that we could turn Twerton Park into a fortress that no one wanted to visit this season. That confidence paid off and the lads delivered winning 2-1, the 500 capacity crowd enjoyed their first viewing of the new look side with hope that these performances could be delivered more often.

Third game in and my second home fixture saw Chelmsford visit. The lads full of confidence from the previous home victory were watched by an increased crowd of 115 (615 total). Despite dominating the game from start to finish, Chelmsford defended out the draw. Slightly disappointing but plenty of positives to be taken in the way we performed and dominated, chances need to be taken and today they weren't.

Next up was Havant and W, again at Twerton Park. The Lads and myself were keen to put the previous draw behind us and push forward. A much need home win was the target and was duly delivered with a first half hattrick from David Pratt killed the game off nice and early. Extremely pleased with the solid home performance, despite only a crowd of 517 on a warm Monday evening. Only downside to the evening was losing influential playmaker Franky Artus to injury.
