Problem removing leagues

I 'm having a problem removing leagues from my game. in previous games I have added and removed leagues without any issues but this time it won't let me remove any leagues because the game is exceeding the player limit.

I am using an update so that the English leagues go down to level 11 but the reason I think this happened is that I ticked the box so that players and staff were added to teams that had none when setting up the game.

It seems like madness that there are too many players so it won't let me remove leagues. Is there any way I can fix this?

I did see this not long after you first posted and would have helped if I could. Sadly I've no experience in editing so my help would have been useless. Hopefully someone will get you back playing soon.
