Hi, can anyone tell me why my players are all so unfit at the start of the season? I have staff in charge of training and friendlies but still I have to use the first 5/6 games of the season to get lots of players fit.

Thanks

Three questions I have to ask before I can answer this.
- How many friendlies did you play in preseason?
- Is you team professional or semipro?
- What country do you play in?

I tend to click through pre-season and buy/sell, so don't know how many friendlies are being played. In previous FMs it didn't seem to be a problem. I'm playing a pro team that started in the English Championship and are now in Premier League.

Thanks.

Friendlies are important. Play a lot of them.... also with B and under 21. Let only players that aren;'t fit play in the B and under 21 team. Everyone will be fit before season starts.

I arrange friendlies and I let my ast man handle them (playing my tactics).

I arrange around 12-16 to make sure all of my players are fully match fit, I also arrange 5 for the reserves towards the end of my pre-season and set anyone in the first team squad who still needs match fitness as available.

Doing this I've never had any problem with fitness, tiredness, injuries, etc so don't worry about over-working the players.

you need to take training and matches yourself.unless you put the effort in this will continue to happen.pre-season is important you should manage it more.
