Don't really count as a Saddler but Hiwula is a good player though. Not sure whether he is Championship material yet but looked very lively from what I've seen and heard of him. Played as a striker first I think, started off well but his form dipped and lost his place but was put on the wing then and showed some really good performances iirc.

You can listen to how he is pronounced here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htgTU5Amue8

Confirmed - rumoured £150k. Bit of a no-brainer at that price. It is a cracking name as well. Makes a change from Smith, Miller, Davidson, Whitehead, etc.

Hiwula was pretty shit against us in all 3 games last season. His best against us was in the JPT game, but that could of been because they beat us, pretty nippy with no end product.

A great video for those of you who want to know more about why we protested and invaded the pitch on the final day of the season:

Signed England Under-20 goalkeeper Christian Walton on loan till the end of the season. Not the ideal solution imo. Walton may be talented and all that but I don't really think a short term fix for long term problem will do us much good. But of course, Flickers got promotion last season so I trust him to do the right things and i'm sure he has plan for our GK situation

Ex-Argyle.

I find myself saying that a lot watching the Football League Show or MotD, and it's always with players playing for Championship or even in the Premier League. If only.

How many players are Blackpool currently on?

Great performance, continues our 100% pre season record so far (includes beating a full strength Derby). Really optimistic for this season!

14 I think. That's including Lloyd Jones on loan from Liverpool. 2 Goalkeepers at least! A few average youngsters who were chucked into the first team towards the end of last season make up that number too. The good youngsters left for pastures new, which is another ire to us Blackpool fans against the owners. Mark Waddington and Dom Telford look to have gone to Stoke and Myles Bony to Man City. Can't blame them tbh, they won't have been treated with any respect by our club.

Not including Nile Ranger in that number. According to the club and "manager" he was going to return to training last week beyond doubt. Still no sign of him and all is quiet on that front. Cubero has just finished in the Gold Cup and is meant to return next week... we shall see! Not sure what the deal is with Orlandi, think he is technically under contract but again hasn't actually returned. Would love him back at least!

Our Chairman is currently serving a 6 week ban from footballing activity such is the classness of his act. No doubt it will be used as an excuse for the club not bringing anyone in and not spending any money. We do have a stand in/vice-chairwoman, but it is his wife/mother (they have the same name, I get them confused - a bit Oedipus of him really) who I imagine has no authority or desire to spend money on the football club either.

Will be interesting to see if us fans can recognise any of the players come our first competitive game! Think the average was about 2 players away at Lancaster!

All credit. I actually thought last night would be our toughest game pre-season because your lads will have got about us and it won't just have been a warm-up. And it's no mean feat for a Conference side to beat a Championship side, even in a friendly. Hope you get up this time

And wouldn't you know it, the Oyscum didn't even dignify our Supporter's Trust's bid for the club with a response.

Now that is pathetic.

Have you not got Kirkland on trial, or was that just a load of nonsense?

Thanks, all the signs look promising for this year. Our strike force in particular, look a real handful and we've always been very solid at the back. Need a good start and to not drop many points at home (like last year) to teams like Dover, Braintree etc.

We actually had. Was at our training camp in Tenerife, so very surprised we didn't go for him. Guess wages played a role in that becuase he's more than capable at L1 level

Our 'Operation Promotion' crowdfunder scheme finished on Saturday night. Final total was £100,000! One hundred thousand pounds raised by the fans, amazing!

Huddersfield Town fans owed £50,000 in compensation.

Blackpool as they were. Plus one point.

You're never going to see any money. "The Board" have made it clear when discussing potential future abandonments with other clubs' supporters' groups that there will be no refunds, just the offer of a half price ticket for the replay! Think that was the jist of their response to Rochdale fans who were concerned our match with them at Bloomfield will be abandoned. They tried the Football League too, who pretty much said it's not their policy to interfere in club ticketing policies!

Just another reason for the Oyscum to sell up and bugger off.

The "plus one point" is irrelevant, we were relegated either way and the dog-botherers remained in the Championship. Plus they got to visit lovely Lancashire.

We won (again) our final pre-season game at Boston United yesterday, won 3-1, with Padraig Amond grabbing another brace to take his tally for pre-season to 9 goals!

Kiddy away next weekend to kickoff the season, followed by Barrow and Bromley at home.

It's now official:

However, the Seasiders will not have to compensate Huddersfield supporters.
The Football League wanted Blackpool to compensate Terriers fans the equivalent value to the club's gate receipts from away ticket sales but that was rejected by the three-man commission.
The FDC ruled that the game's abandonment affected supporters of both clubs equally and it would therefore be unfair to favour the interests of one group of supporters over the other.

Oyston's chummy with the board and gets to keep his money once again. Probably begged for the points deduction over it! Sooner this scum are out, the better.
