Transfer Cost Question

Hi Guys,

i hope there isn't already a Topic about this, if there is i'm sorry. I haven't really been using this Forum that often so far.

Can you give me some kind of Hints regarding Transfers? I looked at the Wonderkids List and (for Example) at this Player:

It says Value 36k, Cost 90k. Ingame (with my Database) he has a Value of 50k so i guessed i would pay something like 120k for him. Didn't work.. now i've already gone up to 500k and they always decline the Offer.

When i suggest Terms they (Anderlecht) say that they want to have.. watch out.. 28! Million for him, Wtf? Same with many other Players i want like those:

Nathan has a Value of 140k and they decline 2m+.. the Player also said that he wants to join me and leave the Club.

Sorry if this Question is stupid. Until now i've only played the EA Fifa Manager and that was way easier regarding Transfers and such Things. Am i missing something/doing something wrong? Please don't be too harsh with me

I have the newest Update installed if that Info is needed or changes something.

Anderlecht are basically telling you they don't want to sell him.

If they say £28 million offer much less, maybe £5 million and see what they say.

Well i don't really want to pay 5 Million for a Player that's worth 50k ^^ I just wanted to get some Talents and thought i could buy them for the Prices in the Wonderkids List And even though i pay like 5x the Price none of the Teams are doing it ^^

I'm playing as Schalke btw.

If he's a wonderkid and tipped for big things in the future the club's not going to let you have him on the cheap.

The only valuation that matters is the estimates your scouts give you. The "transfer value" you see in squad lists is basically just what the players contract is worth, nothing more.

The AI is also hard-coded to be very reluctant to sell youth team players, both for gameplay and realism reasons.

So i pretty much can't buy any of them at a realistic Price.

How would go about getting such young Prospects then?

Either catch them when they're still on youth contracts and can be signed for compensation, or wait until they turn 18/19.

for Instance is 18.. same Thing for him. I can't seem to get any Player at all at a REALISTIC! Price.. i only get stupid Offers for my Players and the other Teams want Millions for Players that are not even worth it at the Time.

Nathan is worth 150k and they're not even taking 2m+ even though the Player said he wants to leave (and join me). Let's be real.. any "smaller" Club would take that Money when it's much more than he's actually worth.

Nathan isn't "worth" 150k, like I said before, the "transfer value" listed in the game is meaningless. A "realistic" price for an 18-year-old AMC from Brazil with top class potential like him would be somewhere around 8-12M Euro, that's the kind of money such players cost in the real world.

I bought Nathan in one of my saves. He was at PSG and I bought him for about £2m or £3m while I was managing Middlesbrough. He was in his early twenties as well, I guess sometimes you just get really lucky!
