What graphic packs, date updates & skins do you have installed?

Metallic Logos, cut-out facepack, FBkits, DS8 Megapack Background and specially for vitrex skin City pictures and mini stadiums pack

Try disabling them one by one and rebuilding your cache. It could be unrelated, but worth a shot.
Remove all the files from your sports interactive folder and pop them somewhere else and see if you get the same issue.

Open steam, go to library, right click fm 2008 and verify cache integrity.

Something has obviously corrupted somewhere. It might honestly be worth backing up your save games and sucking up a full re-install of the game. If that doesn't fix it, then truthfully I have no idea what you can do next.
