FM2018 Running Slow (especially inbox)

My FM has been running completely fine since i got it 2 weeks ago. My saves have been running fine but since yesterday & the further ive got into my season i've noticed my game seems to be lagging quite a lot. my inbox especially takes ages to load up. its just a blank white screen for a few seconds then finally loads up. Also when doing press conferences i notice a lag when i click my answers.

It seems a few people are having this problem. Have you tried loading less leagues?

I'm personally not having this problem though, so that might not be the solution.

I'm not sure if it because I have Google Chrome open at the same time, but sometimes when I go into a game, it freezes either at kickoff or at the pre match team talk, and then will freeze sporadically through the game. In the menus, its fine though for me
