FM18 Data Update not working (help!)

When i load the live changes onto the editor, I'm hit with the following message:
"This file was last saved from an older database. Some database changes or custom competitions may fail with a new database."

I tried loading up the editor on both the FM2018 initial and the 18.3.0 updated databases and merging the two, however it's still not working properly.

For example, Daniel James has been added to Manchester United, yet Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still there

I'm unsure if this is fixable, but if anybody has any idea, please let me know!

1. you always get that message its just normal as the file was initially created using the original DB. All you need to do is save it in the editor with the latest DB selected

2. you should never merge files it is fraught with danger and causes conflicts. I am unsure what 2 files you have merged ? just dont do it mate if you do back up the originals first I have been editing for a long time and there are always issues with doing this

I have just checked the file and as you say re Zlatan is still at Man Utd

it looks like no one has submitted the change- https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update#submit_changes
