27th February 2017 - Transfer News


Former Ipswich and Barnsley frontman Danny Haynes has joined us on a free transfer until the end of next season. He was been plying his trade most recently for a team called Cray in the Isthmian League and managed 13 goals so far. I just hope he can make the step up and re-find the form that made him a FL player in the past.

Heartbreaking. We absolutely battered top of the table FGR but couldn't put the ball in the net. We pushed for the win but were hit on the break late on and were undone in the 90th minute. Gutted.

We won a game, finally! We completely deserved this win and battered Southport all match. If they'd of managed to get a draw out of this one it would of been an outrage. Max Kretzschmar kept us his great goalscoring form from CM with another goal for us.

Much better performance from the lads as we went away to high flying Lincoln and grabbed a draw. Max Kretzschmar's penalty was enough to grab us a point but we still need a win to get out of this rut.

Absolutely terrible performance. Solihull are the kind of teams we need to be beating but we just didn't turn up. We haven't won for a while now and have dropped down to 18th in the league. Improvement needed and quickly.

2nd February 2017 - Transfer News



Louis John joins on loan from fellow Conference side Sutton United as a replacement for Yakubu. He has found himself out of favour at Sutton but he's a player I really rate. He's only 22 years of age so fits into our philosophy of signing young players with potential. He's on loan for now but I could probably make it permanent in the summer if he impresses.

30th January 2017 - Transfer News



Club captain and highest earner Ismail Yakubu has left the club on a free transfer and joined League Two side Cheltenham. He was on £1k a week here and to be honest, really didn't deserve it. At the back, Joey Jones and Brain Saah have been keeping him out of the side. In CDM, Yakubu is probably a better player but I have been putting my faith in 18-year old Anes Omerovic who has been doing well recently.



However, it hasn't gone down too well with many of the squad.

Decided to keep the same team that played so well against Tranmere but it completely backfired. Worst performance of the season by an absolute mile. They missed a penalty too. Completely outclassed by Eastleigh.

Third draw on the bounce but a good point against promotion contenders Tranmere. Anes Omerovic has done really well in the CDM role recently and kept our captain Ismail Yakubu. Omerovic scored our only goal with a screamer from twenty five yards. He's got a bright future ahead of him this lad. He's only 18.

Brilliant comeback against a strong Wrexham side. We went two goal and thought we were screwed to be fair with you but we fought back and managed a draw. Dennon Lewis had another great game and JP Kissock scored his first goal for the club to grab us a draw.

Brought in two new players on loan until the end of the season. Jamie Stephens is a good quality goalkeeper at this level and joins us from League Two side Barnet. Left back Aswad Thomas joins us on loan from fellow Conference side Dover to give a bit of competition to Nathan Ralph at LB.

Much better performance than when we played them in our last game. Gozie Ugwu had a stormer for us up top and won a penalty late on which Dennon Lewis converted so all in all a good performance.

Another great showing as we fought to a great win away from home against Torquay. Jake Caprice managed his first goal of the season before Kretzschmar and Ugwu sealed the win for us late on. We are playing really well at the moment which is really pleasing. We have been drawn against Conference South side Chelmsford in the FA Trophy. Don't care about that competition to be fair.

Former Birmingham and West Brom midfielder Darren Carter has joined us on loan from fellow Conference side Forest Green. He may not be the player he used to be but I still think he can be an asset at this level. We have managed to get him until the end of the season so I am looking forward to seeing how he does.

Absolutely devastating. Gateshead are a very good side and we more than matched them throughout the whole game. Kretzschmar played well again and managed another goal for us but we were undone late in the game to go home with nothing.

Solid point away from home against a strong Dover side. Brian Saah and Joey Jones played really well and the back for me and handled Ricky Miller well [Dover's best player]. Max Kretzschmar managed to score his sixth of the season with a good goal late on for us.

What a win. That was a brilliant away performance against a strong Maidstone side. Dennon Lewis was pushed up from right back onto the right wing and he had his best game in a Woking shirt. Brandon Hall played well in goal in what was a solid team performance. Onwards and upwards.

I made major changes from our disappointing cup match against FGR. Brandon Hall came in goal in place of Michael Poke and kept us in the game with some fine saves. It would of been nice to win, especially as North Ferriby are in the relegation zone but I was pleased with the performances of the lads.

Ouch. Now this is a major setback. Frankie Sutherland has been ruled out for 4 months which is a real shame as he's been playing well recently. He has so far managed 4 goals from CAM which is a good return. Now time for JP Kissock to step up who hasn't really performed too well since he joined from Ebbsfleet.

8th November 2016 - New Deal + Coaching Course


Quite surprisingly, the club have offered me a new deal on a contract until the end of next season. To be fair, I think we have improved recently but I wasn't expecting a new deal so soon. Absolutely buzzing with this one. Nice to have that added bit of security now.


The board were obviously feeling very generous and have paid to get my funded for my coaching badges. All in all, a very successful day.

@r96Skinner - We bottled it. Forest Green dominated from start to finish and had the game pretty much wrapped up by half time. It's frustrating as the finances from the FA Cup could of helped us massively, however it just wasn't to be.

Frankie Sutherland with his second goal in two goals to grab us a good point away at Boreham Wood. We didn't play too well in this one so happy to come away with something. We face Forest Green next in the first round of the FA Cup, I just hope we turn up and give a good performance.

Really happy to get a point out of this one against a strong Braintree side. I made a few changes with JP Kissock replacing Keiran Murtagh and he was the provider for our first goal. Frankie Sutherland is a good player and gets into some good positions, I hope he can score some more goals from his role behind the striker. Good result all in all.

Silly individual mistakes cost us once again. We contained Barrow well in the first half but sloppy defending gave them the lead just before half time. Nathan Ralph then messed up to give them their second. Braintree next who are sitting in the play offs, could be a tough one so would be happy with a draw.
