By default:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26\fm_Data\StreamingAssets\aa\StandaloneWindows64
If yours is different mod won't load boots. I'm fixing it for you rn, it can take up to 30m (will let you know when it's ready).

On FM24, it was five, and each player wore the same boots every match. It’s still five this year, but now the boots are randomized. I believe we can “crack” some of the hardcoded rules this time since we have better modding capabilities with the new engine. Fingers crossed!

I did some experiments yesterday and managed to build an asset bundle with the files I modified, replaced it with the original bundle but it made the game crash. I think they're using a custom-built plugin for the packaging process. Maybe addressable settings cause the crash, not sure.
Also, Importing assets into the project is killing me (takes about an hour each time), but I'm still experimenting.

After looking at the game files, I can confirm that the texture files are the same, but the method used to load them in-game has changed. This means I’ll need to update mine as well, and the FM24 Boot Selector won’t work for FM26. I’ll be running some reverse engineering experiments until Nov 4th, and waiting for Resource Archiver 26.
I’ll post any progress updates here.

Still exploring the archives, but the Beta build doesn’t include the related
.fmffiles. Also, it seems either the file path where the boots are located or the naming of the textures has probably changed. Creatingart\shared_textures\kit_masksfolders didn’t make any difference.I’m working on the Steam version. If anyone bought it from Epic, a screenshot of the game files would really help.
I’ll keep posting updates if there’s any progress.

I’m not 100% sure (we’ll find out in about an hour and a half), but technically, it should work if you change the FM24 path to FM26’s. But fyi, new boots will only come with the FM26 Bootpack tool.
