Sure, I'm not one to judge Moyes' choice of words but to come to that conclusion based on that is clutching at straws, really.

The use of language shows they are talking to Cesc (him) and not Barca (them). It doesn't take a brainiac to realise really.

I used to have a customer who everyone used to do their all to avoid, an old man who went by the name of 'Mr Mothballs' who used to come in with an ancient breifcase that seemed to be full of little else than dust, he would spend twenty minutes ranting about god knows what, how modern politicians are heading for riots in the streets and the end of the world.

I hate, absolutely hate, working at a village shop. Everyone has a bloated sense of entitlement because they view it as their shop, as a community-run shop. The number of people who think they can get away with being short by 50p for their goods and make good the shortage is quite tiring. Strictly speaking they can. Prices in the UK are not set in stone regardless of what is advertised.
