I don't really see how that benefits them, unless someone was paying them to do it, which in turn would destroy the credibility of the site if discovered.

The weighting just places greater importance on websites with certain scoring styles and on more renowned publications.

This time I do. While a weighted system is ideal and perfect on paper, the Metacritic model doesn't give the scores fairly or equally. So if X gives it a 4 out of 5 and Y gives it the same then why doesn't Metacritic score it the same on their scale? They give scores differently per outlet and that is the issue.

Yes but they are adding more weight to places that do not deserve it. Their weighting is suspect and not as open as they have tried to make it seem.

Adding a weighting to each publication is the only fair way to do, different sites use different methods to score their games so weighting evens up the scores to make them relevant when converted to the 100 scale that Metacritic uses.

You can't add some and ignore the rest though. Plus you have publishers paying certain outlets for favourable reviews and that again bumps up the Metascore. Their weighting system is skewed by weighting places above others.

That isn't what KM is alluding to, he's trying to argue that the concept of aggregation is flawed. The only thing I can think he might be using to support this idea was a report that came out saying different websites have different multipliers on them so different scores have a different weight. But that makes sense for the most part, for example if a site uses a 1-100 scale it gives a true representation of the score on metacritic, but if the site uses a five star system, like on Giant Bomb, they can only give 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, meaning their four stars is not as well represented on the metacritic scale.

With that said, it might not be what KM is talking about.

He is partly right. I was alluding to something mentioned here about how Metacritic aggregate scores but they give certain places more weight (some no weight at all) instead of fairly rating games.

It's basically a lifestyle tracker. It tracks food, sleep and active periods 24/7. It also finds trends in your day to day life from what it tracks. You can add "team mates" as well but I haven't used that. It is supposedly the better one between the Fitbit, this and the Nike shit thing.

It works well but you will need to calibrate it as it is a bit short on steps. The sleep tracking and alerts on it are superb though. There are also a few different options but apparently the Fitbit is offering much of the same but without the looks. All in all it was worth the £99 for me.

That's why I don't see all the fuss over the Xbox One and used games. Within a couple years most console games will be downloaded anyway.

This is now though and not in a few years. Also if you buy a physical copy of something then you should be able to sell it on.

I think that entire list is about right. Just because they are deemed surplus doesn't mean they will leave either. They will just be kept around until they are replaced and they all need to be.
