On the other hand, the Colts offence is looking like it could be scary good for the next decade. Richardson should probably help to cover up the O-line issues they have at the moment. They just need to find a receiver to pair with TY Hilton in the long term, after Reggie Wayne retires.

Had a bit of a worry this week with Reggie Bush and Steven Jackson both missing time with injuries. But my WRs were ridiculous.
In actual football, worring times for the Ravens with Rice picking up an injury and the offence being poor against the Browns of all teams. Definitely a work in progress at the moment.

You just finished uni right? Have you tried posting your CV on some job websites?
I just graduated this summer and I've had a few agencies calling to get my interviews thanks to that. Going to a second interview for one of them tomorrow.

Ugh, that sucks. Now to decide whether to keep him or not! Need to pick a new D for this week as well, not particularly keen on anything that's available on the waiver wire.
I thought it was interesting that in the Eagles Redskins game that two teams that run a lot of read option didn't decide to hit the opposing QB at every opportunity, like Green Bay did. Perhaps that might not be the best way of slowing the read option down, despite a lot of teams talking about doing it this season.

Don't really know a whole lot about the Beatles. Why's John Lennon a much worse person to hero worship?

I think the Houston San Diego game could end up being a one sided victory for Houston. San Diego have a lot to prove on offence for me. Fantasy wise I'm happy to hear Foster should be sharing carries with Ben Tate!

Ravens started with a 3 and out, but we forced the Bronco's to punt as well. Not too bad a start

Is it unreasonable that upon realising Walt at least cooked meth he recalled the identikit picture of Heisenberg from season 2(?) and decided to look closer at everything about Walt's situation since his cancer diagnosis?
To be that doesn't seem too unrealistic.

Looks like Monday Night Football is gonna be on British Eurosport this season. Apparently it was the schedule for a short period of time today before they took it down again. Good news for me as we already have British Eurosport, and I'm sure they'll be forcd to use the ESPN in game commentary anyway.

I'm pretty nervous for this one, hoping for a repeat of the playoff game but Denver are (obviously) very dangerous.

I think part of the reason for the massive amount of people in the league is that you don't have to re-register for the SUSIE league every year.

Apparently Lacy's looked a cut above the other RBs in Green Bay in preseason. I've not had a chance to watch them.

I was pretty happy with mine, although I didn't notice three of my starters are from Atlanta so there bye-week could be pretty terrible for me.
The projections seem to be pretty unrealistic for week 1. Judging by the 49ers kicker they're predicting them to score 54 points against Green Bay which seems a bit too high even given the playoff game last year!

I watched the first quarter and Brady looked really impressive with the Rookie WRs. The commentary was saying the Eagles have barely had any full contact practice sessions so far, so it'll be interesting to see how the run game goes next week against a team that have had more practice at tackling etc.
I was impressed with Blount, made a good case for being one of the main backups to Ridley last night.

Also double checked and the current draft date/time will be after all pre-season games have finished. So fingers-crossed there won't be any injury surprises before the regular season starts.

So I thought this would be a good time to return to the fantasy football discussion. The league needs to have an even number of people, I know Tommo's interested. Anyone else fancy a go?
Currently I've set the draft to the sunday evening before the regular season starts - but that can change depending on what's suitable for the majority of people. Also for anyone who aren't about at the eventual draft time there is an option to create your own personal rankings, or just allow the auto-drafter to follow the NFL.com rankings.

I don't think it was personally.
I thought it shows that he has to leave, which you find out later is because Hank is onto him. I guess Skylar will claim ignorance when it all comes out. Presumably then most of the last season is set after this ~1 year gap between the end of last season and the diner scene with the bacon.

However, part of the reason there's big quick players on every team is it's more or less a sealed system all the way through. The NFL is easily the pinnacle of Gridiron football, whereas with other sports there are competing systems in many countries, e.g. football. It's also worth noting the players that get to the NFL are something like the top 1% of players that play at a college level.
Is suppose one explanation for people doping now if others can win clean is that they don't have as much natural athletic ability as the best and are trying to make up for it

In Armstrongs day his team weren't pacing him up a large part of the climb, so he had to use more effort from further back on the climb.
I think you've also got to consider Sky's aggregation of minimal gains approach to the sport. They put a lot of research into improving training methods and equipment that other teams seem to be playing catch up on. For instance the elliptical chain-sets they've been using on TT bikes.
--------------
Having said that, I'm not trying to say he definitely didn't cheat just that there are factors to the tactics/training/equipment that can explain at least some of his performance

It depends what you want from your striker really. Bent isn't going to give you much in terms of build-up play, the rest of the team has to work for him. From what little i saw of Benteke he looked a lot more involved in build-up play and creating his own opportunities.
