After downloading any updates just cut & paste all the contents of the folder into your Megapack folder and overwrite any of the existing files when prompted. Just remember to download and apply the updates in the correct order.
The Icon Faces will be in a different folder and work in exactly the same way as the Cut-Out Faces Megapack. As you only have 3,162 items in there, you have not downloaded the full pack as there should be the same amount of items as your main Megapack.
Not sure why there is another Faces folder in there! Did you download it from this site? Or you may have unzipped/moved it to the incorrect location by accident. I have a strong feeling that this is Update pack 5.8 as this contained 2,354 images.

Either you have a second config file somewhere (although this is unlikely) or the faces you are seeing are the ones included by SI with the game.

Gedion Zelalem is not currently in the official FM database (he was too young when FM13 was released).
Any UID's starting with 139XXXXXXX are usually players created using the editor.
I have a better image of him which I'll post in the NO ID thread.

I think you may have downloaded an Icons Megapack update by mistake.
If you open the folder where your facepack is kept and see if the images inside are differnet sizes. They should all be 180x180 in size but if you have accidentally placed icons in there some will be 25x18.

I think you need to look in this thread for techniques on cutting images, as yours are covered with snow, which look bad on dark skins/backgrounds (as you can see below).

1. Place all the regen faces you are going to use into a single folder.
2. Rename each one with the relevant UID found within the game.
3. Place the config template into this folder and open it with Notepad (There should be only one config file in this folder).
4. For every regen face you will need to copy and paste the line <record from="CHANGE ME" to="graphics/pictures/person/CHANGE ME/portrait"/>. So if you have 7 faces you wish to use you will need to have this line 7 times in the config file.
5. Replace the "CHANGE ME" section of each line with the UID of the player. Each line should have a different UID as each line will be for a different player.
EXAMPLE;

<record from="1394631314" to="graphics/pictures/person/1394631314/portrait"/>

Save the changes made to the config file.
6. Go back to your game preferences>Display & Sound and click confirm. They should now be visable in game.
You can keep adding new regen images to this folder, but for every image you will need to add an additional line into the config file and go back to your game preferences>Display & Sound and click confirm for them to show.

If you have changed the two "CHANGE ME" sections in the line to the players UID and then saved as a .txt file, the config file should be ok.
I'm not sure why the image is "not viewable", do you mean the image or the text file?
If it is the image and you have a program that will save images as .png files (Photoshop, GIMP, Paint.net) try loading the image and then save it again as a .png.

What program are you using to edit the config file? Notepad and Wordpad should do it without any problems.

They look good. There is a blue tint to them, but I'm sure that is from the original source photo's, but might be worth tweaking the colour slightly to try to get rid of it.
The only other things I would recommend is maybe rotating Cole's image slightly so it is straight (it is best to do this before cutting/resizing) and adding more to Sturridge's shoulders so they don't stop suddenly.

If you click on the "Existing Images: Search results for43026579 " of your request you will see that that he's already been cut from a higher quality version of that exact image.
It is always using the megapack search tool before posting a request to make sure that it has not been done already and that it will be an improvement.

If you click on the the Download link it will take you to the Susie/Sortitoutsi download page, click on the "Download Now" button then scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see the Download link for the "Free Mirrors" (in this case it's from Sendspace).

The main reason is that it is not a squad profile picture (looking at the camera), plus Torres has had a new image cut a few days ago, and can be found here, in the Spainish Confederations Cup Facepack.
