As the title says a little better but still not good enough a win at home to Liechtenstein was cancelled out by the away loss later on in the campaign at least we got revenge for the defeat to Luxembourg.
As you can see we were lucky not to end up bottom of our group.
Still no real stand out player in that best eleven

I arranged two friendlies against the two African teams that wer above us in the rankings at the begining of the year I wish I organised one with San Marino or something now..
The loss to Denmark was to be expected, the loss to Wales wasn't helped by an early sending off the game at Luxembourg we should have really got something from at least the point with the Czech Republic was a positive.
Those results left us 90th at the end of the year in the World Rankings

We gave a better account of our selves this year only losing to Spain and a Georgian team that we never really deserved to lose too we have risen in the World Rankings though from 85th to 44th.
We have been drawn in the same group as Wales, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Czech Republic and Denmark for our group in the World Cup Quals so qualification isn't out of the question
Our best eleven they performed alot better than last year

I only have one player from Stjarnan at the moment he is a goalkeeper and I only used him for one friendly so far.

Had a pretty dismal year at least we didn't lose any friendlies to teams in and around our ranking allthough we have now dropped from 74th to 85th.
Team of the year one word....rubbish.
Someone has to be the best player though.....

We didn't have too bad a year 7 wins in 11 games saw us almost get into the World Cup play offs we went from 157th to 74th in the world rankings.
The final group standings.
If we had won our final qualifying game we would have made it into the play offs we probably would have been thumped anyways
