Not a bad start for me then, managed to get some good points on the board for the team and we have got ourselves into a good position to challenge for the play offs this season.

Bristol Rovers are my new team, they are in the Blue Square Premier after relegation last term. Maybe a little of a backwards step but I wanted to get down to the lower end of English football and build a reputation that way.
So they haven't enjoyed to much of a great start. Though with that said it is just a crazy amount of draws that have seen them where they are.
Financially they are in a complete and utter mess. Wage budget needs to be sorted come January.

So I was offered a new contract by the club! I duly accepted.
A healthy budget to use.
However after 11 games I am feeling home sick.
As the clubs I am looking to take over can't afford my compensation I am going to have to do the above and reign from Ukraine.
I leave the club looking like this...
I can tell you it is one of four teams I will go too ranging from League 1 to Blue Square Premier. Whoever offers me a job first I will go too.
Interestingly I only lost 2 games in my time at Olexandriya, something I am pretty impressed with.

Meaning going into the last day I had to win my final game to win promotion.
Which I managed 3-2 and thus....

I knew that to get anywhere near promotion I would pretty much have to win all of my remaining games
Something has clicked with the players and it seems that the tactic that I use has got them together for a final push for promotion.
My next game is against Poltava, meaning a win against them and a final day game against Obolon will mean that promotion is in my hands.

My aim is to try not to sign anyone now and get through this season and then look again at the start of the next. Fingers crossed it will pay off and I can still be promoted.
So going into the winter break I have turned around the fortunes but only slightly. The run of three draws does not excite me!
However 12 points from my first 7 games I will take that!

Thanks fella!
So it took me a while to get a team, Lincoln City the first team to buff me back.
Till this happened:
Olexandriya ply their trade in Ukraine, not where I wanted to start but it will do.
For a smaller team they have a large financial backing. They are due to finish third by the media prediction but sadly the previous regime has them struggling.
Lets see if I can get them promoted, it will be a tough old task mind!

Jelle Vossen has secured a last minute move from Genk to West Brom in a deal reported to be worth £6m to the Belgian club.
Vossen has scored 17 goals in 27 appearances for Genk this season so far and Robinson was delighted to get his man. 'There was a lot of offers sent to them that they rejected.'
'Finally we settled on the fee and we were able to get the man we wanted, the key target from the transfer window.'
West Brom were only able to sign him following the departure of three players from the club. Rosenberg left for a fee of £1.5m and then Thomas soon followed him out the door going to Huddersfield for £750k.
Though in a surprise move Robinson sent Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea, sighting the players wages as the problem.
'He was earning £40,000 a week from us whilst he was here, we simply can't afford to pay that. He was always going to go back if we signed Jelle.'
Vossen himself was delighted with the move and was pleased it could be sorted out. 'I am delighted to be here. It seemed to take ages for the deal to be agreed by Genk but I have been in England with my agent all day waiting to be told I can go and have talks.'
'It is a dream of mine to play in the Premier League so I am pleased to be here. West Brom look good to be getting into the Champions League next season too so it is a delight to be here.'

West Ham defender Jordan Spence has today signed for Albion for a fee believed to be around £1.2m on transfer deadline day.
Spence has enjoyed a rich vein of form this season with the club had has been with since youth level but he is delighted with the switch.
'I am over the moon to be here. West Brom are a club going places and I want to be a part of that, there was no way that I would pass up that chance.'
'I have played in 19 games in the league this season so it is nice that other clubs have been looking at me. I have signed knowing that games may be few and far between but I just want to better myself.'
Karl Robinson was delighted with the deal and told Albion TV, 'it is superb for us and Jordan. I am so pleased to get him for relatively little money also.'
'The young lad has tremendous talent and ability and he will be a very good addition to the side that is for sure.'
'I am still in the market for a couple of others however, though if they do not come off I will not be too disappointed.'

West Brom completed a real smash and grab victory, answering their managers plea to keep the title alive as they secure a 1-0 win over Manchester United.
If you had been told at the start of the season that 25 games in and just 13 to play West Brom would sit one point behind Manchester United at the top of the Premier League, most would have laughed and rightly so.
Manchester United have been the kings of English football in recent times, though were knocked off their perch by near neighbours City last season. Though a win today would have given them a healthy seven point lead over nearest rivals West Brom, though as it is they are now cautiously looking over their shoulder as Albion continue to be a thorn in their side.
Losing Wayne Rooney midway thorough the first half would not have helped their cause at The Hawthorns, though you would have still backed United to get a win here and put daylight between them and their opponents.
The closest they came in the first half though was through Van Persie who saw his shot from Foster tipped wide by the slightest touch from his finger tips to keep parity between the teams.
Just before half time there was another chance for the Dutch international, though this time his composure let him down as he did the hard work but managed to stroke the ball wide of the mark when the goal was at his mercy.
West Brom came out in the second half with the same tactic, sit back and wait for the chance to come. Just minutes in to it they saw De Gea pull of a wonder save from Lukaku as the striker thundered a shot towards the United goal.
Manchester United however should have taken the lead once again, Vidic managing to get his head on the ball following a corner, though he got under it and the ball went well over the bar. The defender should have done better as he was unmarked.
Missed chances came back to hurt the leaders, Shane Long scoring one of the most important goals of the season so far for West Brom.
After a number of passes accurately met their target in the middle of the park for the home team, Chris Brunt saw an opening and with it an opportunity to play the ball through to Long who confidently rounded the keeper and with it the opening goal came.
West Brom survived a number of minor scares, one of which saw a shot from Hernandez bounce down off the bar but outwards away from goal leaving the Manchester United players to wonder if in fact it would be their day.
It certainly would not be as Karl Robinson fist pumped the air at full time revelling in the thought that his side were now sitting just a point and a place behind United.
Karl Robinson Said: 'I am over the moon with the players efforts today, they have really shown what they are capable of today and even if we don't win the league now we have proved a point tonight.'
'We didn't have many chances but that was the whole idea of the game plan, sit back and contain and then hit them on the counter attack, so I am pleased that it worked.'
'Shane has scored a wonder goal in the end from the edge of the area, no keeper in the world would be saving that one so we are absolutely delighted for him too.'
Sir Alex Ferguson Said: 'There is no way that we should have lost that game, now it is up to us to pick up and move on.'
'Losing Wayne early to injury is a real negative but when he went off we seemed to lose a bit of attacking power and that was a bit of a worry.'
'We should have had a penalty too but the ref was having none of it, what can you say, if you don't get decisions what can you do about it?'

West Brom manager Karl Robinson gave out his battle cry as his Baggies take on Manchester United on Wednesday, Robinson knowing that anything less than a win will probably see the title slip away.
'Now we are this close we want to keep the pressure on them. If we beat them we go one point behind, lose and it is seven points. That is what football is all about, margins of victory and losing. We of course want the game to turn out in our favour.'
West Brom look on course to finish in the top four of the league but Robinson insists that he wants more than that.
'All the players want success now. We are only inches away from it and we can almost touch it. We have to stay grounded for now though as even a win against United doesn't mean anything it is still not in our hands.'
'Though a win will put pressure on them and give us the impetus to move forward at pace and really challenge them. We want them to know that if they slip up we will be right behind them.'

In the battle of the Albion's neither side were able to come out on top and in fact they will have to do it all over again to decide who will go through.
The Championship side set out to frustrate their high flying Premier League counterparts, Poyet himself knowing better than any what it is like to be in a higher league team that could go out via an upset.
There was however a first appearance since his injury for Charlie Austin, he only managed to get through 45 minutes, though that could have been down to the fact of his poor first half performance rather than actually still feeling the effects of the injury he is carrying.
The Baggies made their superior edge look like the match would be a simple one for them in the early stages, crisp and accurate passing took place as the home side could only stand an admire as the ball was articulately played around them.
Though West Brom almost shot themselves in the foot as an under hit back pass was chased down my Barnes as Gordon cleared the ball hit the striker on the back, though there would be no luck for him as the ball went wide off the mark.
Brighton began to get a foothold in the game from that point, captain Greer organising his team well getting them to keep their shape as West Brom started to struggle to get the ball in behind them.
It would be the Premiership side that would take the lead however as Chris Brunt galloped up the left flank, beating Brighton players with ease he was able to supply a cross to Gera who had cut in from the right hand touchline unnoticed to fire the ball home from close range.
If anyone thought from that point the match would be a foregone formality they were completely wrong, though had West Brom reached the half time interval with the lead it may well have been.
Watching the defending it looked as if many of the West Brom players already were in the dressing room however as Barnes beat the offside trap to fire hard and low past Gordon, the Brighton fans going crazy in the stands as Barnes was mobbed by his team mates.
West Brom know knew that they were in a game and after the half time break introduced Shane Long to partner Lukaku, his individual brilliance nearly got a goal immediately got them back in front though his strike cannoned back off the post.
Brighton hot shot Barnes however nearly gave the game to Brighton, as the game entered the closing stages he thought that he had won it, climbing highest in the box to head home, though the goal was ruled out for a foul on the keeper, a little contentious and Poyet was left fuming on the touchline.
As it is, the two sides ended the game level and it will have to be done all over again at The Hawthorns, with West Brom hoping that home advantage will see them through to the next round.
Gus Poyet Said: 'The result is fantastic for us, it shows how far we have come in terms of being able to challenge with some of the best sides in England.'
'They are not second in the Premiership for no reason and I also commend them for the bringing a strong side to face us, it really was a great game.'
'Both sides wanted to win it and this is what the FA Cup is all about. Of course it makes it harder for us when we have to go to their place second time around but we will do out best.'
Karl Robinson Said: 'Today I really have to commend the fantastic ability of Brighton who have shown what the FA Cup is all about.'
'I knew the game would be tough and they gave us a real game today. It is why I bought a really strong side because we knew that we would have to be at our best to win.'
'As it is, I am pretty happy with the outcome of having to replay the game, we fancy our chances much more at home than we do away.'

West Bromwich Albion have wrapped up a £2.8m deal to bring Adam Matthews to The Hawthorns on a three and a half year deal.
Matthews, who moved to Celtic from Cardiff was delighted with the deal.'Neil Lennon told me of the interest of West Brom and it didn't take me long to decide that I would like to speak to them.'
'They are second in the league and doing really well this season so it is a great time to join them. I am moving still wanting Champions League football next season so hopefully I can keep West Brom in and around the top four.'
'I have to thank Celtic for giving me a chance to play at a high level and thank them more for respecting my wishes to move on once the offer for me has come in.'
Karl Robinson was delighted to get his man, the highly rated 21 year old being on his radar for some time. 'We actually tried to sign him in the summer. I have been tracking him and his performances have been superb.'
'Now is a good time to bring him in and I am sure the fans will love him. He gives everything he has in every game and I look forward to seeing what he can do for us.'
Matthews will go straight into contention for a starting place when West Brom travel to Brighton in the FA Cup at the weekend with the full back hoping for a starting birth.
'I don't want to count my chickens but I would really like a chance to show what I can do early. Obviously there is a good team here so to disrupt it would be a tough one for the manager but I think I can slot in well.'

Romelu Lukaku scored three times as West Brom secured their first win in three beating relegation certainties Sunderland 3-2 in a closer match than it should have been for the away side.
A disgruntled looking Charlie Austin made his way to sit in the stands as he was to not make the team sheet today though declaring himself fit for the game, Robinson saying he wants to make sure he is available for the game against Brighton and has no need to rush him back.
Ben Foster made his first start since coming back from injury however and the first thing that he had to do was pick the ball out of the net as poor defending from Ryan Bennett, allowing Fletcher to get up above him and head home inside 2 minutes.
Albion fans would have been worried that a repeat of the past two abject performances would happen again, though Lukaku's pace and trickery made sure that those fears were put to rest as he scored his first goal of the game just minutes after the Sunderland opener.
Sunderland however were not looking like a team at the bottom, spraying the ball around with confidence against their much superior opposition in league position at least. The home side came close again as Sessegnon unleashed a strike from a long way out though the ball would not dip quick enough going just over the bar.
As it was, West Brom would take the lead on 36 minutes, Lukaku again scoring though this time a tap in as a shot from Shane Long was saved by Mignolet but the Baggies striker was the quickest to react as the rebound fell into his path.
The home side had a chance to make the scores level going into half time but as Larsson lifted in a wicked corner, a header from O'Shea was saved a point blank range by Foster the keeper knowing very little about it.
After half time, the teams knew that the next goal would be crucial, perhaps the game could be forgiven for a little bit of tentativeness as both teams just tried to keep the ball till a chance came their way.
It was West Brom that would get that chance and a confident Lukaku made no mistake as he struck home is third of the match from 12 yards out. He took no mercy on the Sunderland keeper who could only but attempt to stop it as the ball was hit with so much power, it had hit the back of the net before he could get his hands up.
Albion then set about seeing the game out, though a late consolation goal from Fletcher was not enough to spoil their party as they won for the first time in three attempts.
Gerard Houllier Said: 'We have really tried hard today to get something out of the match but West Brom just had the key things go their way and got the bit of luck when they needed it.'
'All in all it was a good performance on our behalf and one we can build on but we are rapidly running out of time now to do something about our poor position.'
'I think to the rest of the world we are already down but we will not give up until it is a confirmed. We owe that to the fans that keep turning up to support us at least.'
Karl Robinson Said: 'We have turned it back on again today. The players knew how disappointed I was with the last couple of performances but we are back on the winning trail again.'
'Lukaku had a game to remember today and he is really staking a claim for more starts in the first team, he will certainly get one next week at Brighton.'
'The FA Cup will actually be a welcome distraction for the hustle and bustle of the league and I am really looking forward to it after today.

Charlie Austin has been back in training since Monday and he says he is feeling much better now that he is getting a football back under his feet.
It has been a long road of recovery for Austin who is now just pleased to be getting himself back up to match fitness. 'I am fully recovered from the injury but now I need to work hard to get my fitness level back up to scratch.'
'I wanted to play in the week against Swansea, well at least get on the bench but the gaffer was right to not let me play, it would have been too soon.'
'I was just itching to get back out there and get some more goals under my belt and help the team get back to winning ways.'

This really was the definition of a bore draw as Swansea and West Brom managed just one shot on target between them as the sides drew 0-0.
We have all heard of the term 'bore draw' but there has never been anything quite like this, the match between these two sides becoming the definition of it.
With a grand total of three shots at goal in the first half on a cold and wet evening in Wales really gave nothing for the fans to warm up about. The most exciting part of the first 45 minutes a mouse managing to find its way onto the pitch.
The closest of the three chances fell to Danny Graham who managed to find a little bit of space in the box to fire the ball wide of the far post, though only inches were in it.
The away side never really got going at all in the first half, though their only chance of the half fell to Shane Long who managed to fire the ball over from 6 yards out though was moaning to the referee that he was being pulled in the process, though there looked very little in it, the striker perhaps trying to spare his blushes.
Albion came close to scoring within minutes of the restart of the second half, Graham Dorrans finding a little time and space on the edge of the area to strike at goal, though the post managed to get in the way of the ball finding the back of the net with the keeper beaten all ends up.
Swansea had the games only chance and it feel to Graham again who managed to squander the opportunity. The striker managed to beat three men on his way to marching into the box, though with time and space managed to hit a strike straight at the keeper.
The game finished 0-0 with very little for either team to build on. There was however a great moment for Olsson who picked up the man of the match award against his former side cancelling them out to great effect.
Michael Ladrup Said: 'Both teams were as poor as each other today, we had more chances if you can call them that.'
'Danny had a chance to win it for is because had it gone in there was no way there would have been another goal, it was that sort of game.'
Karl Robinson Said: 'That is without doubt the worst display I have ever seen in my time here. We never got going and didn't seem up for the game at all.'
'The only saving grace is that we didn't lose but that said Swansea were equally as poor. I can't begin to think what the fans must be feeling about it from both teams.'
'We are away at Sunderland at the weekend and we must get back to winning ways, as I don't want poor form to continue.'
