Yup, I was playing stupid formations and reserves to manage our injuries and it just wasn't to be.
So our season is over but the MLS season isn't over, I'll give the season wrap-up then.

Last month of the regular season started strong and then injuries fucked us.
A quality home win over NYCFC in a match that was very even. Marco Donadel was sent off in the 17th minute and we still managed to score another!
Scraped a home win against Columbus in a match where we probably didn't deserve more than a point.
A poor home performance against Houston saw us lose 1-2. Didn't really deserve much and the injuries are piling up.
Away at Chicago in the final game of the regular season and we are tied at the top. If we could have managed a draw we would have won the Eastern Conference, but an already depleted team became more-so in this game as Piatti and Maurel went down. All in all it was the worst way I could have imagined capping off the regular season.
Really wish we could have won the East but we are into the playoffs.
Look at those injuries, I don't have high hopes against our Eastern Conference Semi Final opponent, New England, who are somewhat of a bogey team for me.
Welp, we didn't deserve it but it went better than I expected.

It was a hard fought game, and I thought we had the victory after the 84th minute goal by Trajkovski, but unfortunately they claimed the draw from the spot. We need to handle Luxembourg and need Belarus to get handled by Spain to hopefully secure third and qualify through the 3rd place playoff.
We've got third!
I think we can do it, I think you'll be seeing Macedonia in the Euros!

Uhhh....now back to a solid month...inconsistency was my name in the old San Marino game....is it just the nature of my tactics
Started off with just a solid victory in Florida over Orlando, Matic and Ciman getting their first goals for the club and thus leading us to victory.
Back at home we wrecked NY Red Bulls, taking them 2-0 with their team not even managing a shot on target after only managing a measly 5 shots total. Quality win!
After the two consecutive victories we followed up with a frustrating loss away at Columbus. We out shot them, more on target, and had more possesion, but a Kei Kamara hat-trick helped them secure all 3 points in a game where they may have at best deserved a point.
We bounced straight back with a quality 3 nil home victory over the LA Galaxy. Just completely dominated them, not much else to describe.
We are doing exceptionally well and have secured our playoff spot!
He was an under-performer and counted against the foreign player limit, so this was an easy decision.

God dammit. Back to a shit month. Injuries have wrecked us.
Started off getting dominated by NYCFC in Yankee Stadium. They could have had more. Just a poor showing.
Next up is a game we DOMINATED against D.C. United at home. Perry Kitchen scored one from outside of the box in the first half, and I can't believe we didn't come back for at least a draw. Shocking.
We we able beat our Canadian rivals Vancouver at home in the game following, which is always. Was sort of a back and forth and they had a goal disallowed in the 89th minute.
Again......lost at home to Philadelphia in a game that we had the advantage in every category. I don't fucking get it.
Luckily, like the NBA, the East is so much weaker and will allow me to have a top seed in the playoffs despite being 6th in the overall MLS standings.
Crazy I know. Sold my ageing quality captain. Decided to wildcard it going into the end of the year.

Certainly a better month than the previous!
First match was a cheap victory away in Portland. We definitely FM'd them
Next up was a cup match against lower division Canadian side Ottowa Fury. To be honest I played a weakened side and it showed. Barely scraped by with a last minute own goal winner at home!
After this lucky one we had a quality victory over Colorado. Just dominated them and the Jackie Mac brace gave us the 3 points to take back to Canada.
The second leg against Ottowa and I played a much stronger team and we beat them pretty handily away, to send us into the final to play Vancouver!
Back in the MLS after securing our palce in the final and we were back to annoying me. Took a 2-0 into the half away at Canadian rivals Toronto only to get pegged back cheaply in the second half, which we also dominated, with their equalizer coming in the 94 minute!
Back to the cup, against Vancouver in the Canadian Cup Final First Leg, and we couldn't establish a lead at home, which is worrying.
Couldn't avenge our fluke 5 to nil loss away in Boston earlier in the year. A bore scoreless draw at home against New England.
WOO! Able to pick up my first piece of silverware by taking Vancouver 2 to nil in my Canadian rivals stadium for the Canadian Championship Cup!
Continuing a tradition it seems.
Not worried about the playoffs at all now, hopefully a first round bye if we can keep it up.
Snagged a quality young Ivorian DLC/WBL after Den Haag released him. Hopefully he can shore up the defense.

Away in Spain was really never on the cards. A first half hat-trick by Diego Costa pretty much sealed it, and they coasted in the second half, allowing us to make the score more flattering than the actual play was.
Damn. We are really going to have to work hard and have some results go our way for this one.
Felt we deserved more to be honest, but I suppose the draw is decent against a higher ranked opponent.

What a garbage time in the month that bisects the calendar year. Just shit.
Started with a frustrating loss at home against San Jose where we just played super poor and deserved to lose; those games are still frustrating though.
Next we just shit the bed against FC Dallas in Texas. It was a decent game after they went up in the 4th minute and we threatened all game, but two cheese goals by them in the 79th and 91st made the score one that flattered them honestly.
The final game in a light June month was the rematch away in Seattle. In a game where we had 60/40 possession and two more shots on target than them, I felt we at least deserved a share of the points. Away in Seattle is one of the toughest games in the MLS though so I suppose this result isn't as frustrating, just annoying.
Despite the shit month I'm not worried about not making the playoffs.
Made a surprise move by trading one of our better performers to DC. I just felt they were giving us so much for a player that didn't deserve it; hopefully it will play out in the future.
As you can see, Piatti, Jackie Mac and Bernier are our top performers. Really need to shore up the defense and keeping prior to next year.

Started May with the Piatti fiasco but I've convinced him to stay....by not coming good on my promise to sell him before the end of April deadline. Understandably he is mad, hopefully it subsides.
First May game is a solid victory over Orlando City. We put them to the sword and deserved to win by more than one. Piatti getting the winner may bring him out of his slump.
A second consecutive victory in New York against their New York Red Bulls side. Another domination game that we deserved. Piatti got another and decided he wanted to stick around for a bit
Blegh. Was wrecked by Los Angeles. Kept it close for a while, but they piled it on in the last 20 minutes.
Quality victory against Sporting Kansas City in a game we domianted in the first half, and then let them make it interesting in the second half.
Had to knick a draw in a game against Real Salt Lake that we actually deserved 10 goals and the 3 points. Another frustrating draw.
Still very in the playoff mix.

It's been a month of up and downs and Piatti goals!
We were the April fool against New England in our April 1st meeting; it was a strange game where although we had chances, they couldn't not score, Agudelo snagged a hattrick with his first being a goal from my CB mistiming a header, they second literally being kicked off of him by my keeper in the area when it was just the two of them
Conversely from the previous match, we didn't even deserve a draw fro mthis one away at D.C. United and yet we managed all 3 points, Piatti scoring his first of a month chock full of his goals for us.
A game at home to Chicago was a strange one, but one we deserved. We were running circles around them but found ourselves still 0-1 down approaching the 75th minute; Lagos collects a long through ball and is seemingly pushed in the back for a penatly/red card, although some have said he dived, and in the scrap concerning this another Chicago player was sent off. Piatti converted the penalty and then we went on overload and he grabbed the winner two minutes from time.
We took the scalp of Canadian rivals Vancouver in the next match. We dominated the first half and went into the break 2-0 up with Piatti bagging one for his 4th of the month. They came out blazing and I must say we are lucky to have held onto all 3 points, however I would have been angry if we didn't at least manage one.
A superbly frustrating game against Philadelphia. We dominated them, Piatti put us in the lead, and yet they ended up bagging two and winning. The reason I say it was so frustrating, is because we had 6 clear cut chances!
We will definitely make the playoffs, but need to stop losing these strange games.

Started our MLS season with an anxiety ridden barn burner against Seattle, they scored within 8 minutes, then we went on to score two goals through 61, then by 81 with goals from the open field and the spot they were back up 3-2 until 20 year old Jamaican Williams nabbed us the draw.
A decent result against Houston in Texas, a place which always proves difficult to win regardless of the quality of the team.
Finally got our first win at home against Portland, a game that we dominated but couldn't find the back of the net until the 85th minute, adding another in the final minute of regulation, before they made it interesting with a stoppage time score.
Smashed Colorado away. Totally dominated. Jackie Mac(Jack McInerney) took the game by the scruff of the neck.
A tough one at home against Canadian rivals Toronto F.C., I feel like we deserved more but we could not finish to save our life until Jackie Mac scored a screamer, which would have been better had it not solely made up for his poor play in the game prior to the goal.
Definitely looking to get into the playoffs this year.
