Hey Shedender great story i was wondering how much have you spent on transfers since you started the career and how many players have you brought in? I'm curious to see which of you and Dan spends more in your quests to complete it the fastest.

Last season people was talking about Ashley like he was a genius.

He sold Caroll for 35 million, found several good replacements with that money, then competed for the Champions League places, all while keeping the club financially healthy.

Normal service has now resumed.

Yeah but last season, much like this one the teams outside of the top 4 weren't exactly the strongest. Granted they had some great buys but all they did was replace the awful players who were in the starting line up and put them on the bench, if Cabaye or Cissé had got injured last season they would of been nowhere near the top half of the league

Obviously, but if there wasn't money to sign players and no one stopped him from doing it then that's surely a fuck up higher up the food chain than the manager.

I'm wouldn't be surprised what with Pompys position within the PL at the time if most of their top players had bonuses and automatic payrises in their contracts that got activated if they won a cup competition as the chairman wasn't expecting to win anything only maintain PL status and so when they won the FA Cup they fucked themselves over

I had a game against Villa on my Everton career in which Jagielka scored an own goal and then Berbatov scores a second for Villa. In the last 5 minute i get 2 goals back by Fierro and Destro and then in the team talk screen it said that i won 2-1 and Berbatov's goal even thought it counted during the match, didn't happen

I used to play with my brother, i'd sell him the players i didn't want for shed loads and take his stars for peanuts

It's less the relegation threat - it's troubling but we should be able to pull away a little with a few good results - and more than we need more players but don't ever seem able to sign them. With any luck we'll either get some players or those coming back will not only help but stay injury free this time but I'm not quite so confident we'll be able to sign the 2/3 players we actually need.

I can see where your coming from, Mike Ashley is a funny character he's not got enough money to put towards new players but he's got enough to try and get a foot in Rangers

In all honesty who can say that they don't try and unsettle a player that they're after in the hopes of them requesting a transfer or complaining about not having offer accepted for them?

I wouldn't worry Numb i can't really see the Toon Army going down, the team compared to a few years ago that went down are alot better plus you've been missing Cabaye, Tiote and Ben Arfa which are your two most creative players and your midfield "General" as it were. I think you definitely need another striker cause if Cissé get a bad injury your are in trouble but i'd probably be concentrating on a defender cause apart from Colocinni and Taylor your center backs are not good enough by a long long way.

Oh well, guess we look elsewhere - I hear we have a bid lodged for Pierre Aubameyang, assuming QPR don't offer him £100K a week as well.

To be fair it shows the quality of the players that Pardew has brought in that QPR waited until Newcastle had an offer accepted for a player they wanted before they offered. Harry wanted to make sure Pardew wanted him, that way he should be a good player.

I doubt QPR will offer him £100K a week, I mean come on your bid hasn't been accepted yet

Right people this attempt at a career has been shocking. This has been due to a few reasons:

1) I wasn't sure i'd actually carry on with the career past the end of the first season.
2) I had absolutely no idea how to take screenshots until earlier today.
3) Due to reason 1, i couldn't be arsed to do updates.

I'm not about to start season 3 so i'll start again once the league resets it's self

Yeah it was a classic dick move on two levels, firstly don't comment on other teams players if your not actually going to put a bid in for him and secondly if your after the player and you know you can get him cheap why the fuck would you want to tell everyone else about it?!

Totally agree with you, i was over the moon he didn't get the job, my only problem with Roy as the England manage is that in Roy we still don't have a manager with the balls to drop some of the older players or any of the now established players and start picking the squad and the starting line up based on form. instead of their name

That's a fair reason to dislike him, cause i hated Real Madrid for trying (and succeeding) in unsettling Ronaldo but in all honestly Ba's a bit of a mercenary. He went to West Ham and had made sure he had a relegation release clause (not a relegation release fee), then to Newcastle and from the January after he signed he was only interested in leaving once the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea were interested.

Harry Redknapp is baffling. After we beat his ragtag mob he said his players weren't worth their salaries, and then he goes and trumps the lot of them. He started the wheels in motion that bankrupted Portsmouth and it seems he's leading QPR into similar territory.

Saying this, whoever does our transfers is of great frustration. We never seem able to sign players we need when we need them and I daresay Debuchy may well be it for incomings.

Yeah but we don't know the overall squad wage total or what the squad budget is, for example Dyer may have been on £35K - £40K p/w and i imagine Bosingwa and Cissé are on similar if not more and their both supposed to be on their way out the door, so they may have more money for wages but not happy with how much the players are on

Yeah i brought Fierro and he's lining up in a front 3 with Destro, Ademileson, Jelavic and an amazing looking regen (i'll try get a screengrab) as well as occassionally having Wellington Nem up front as well and he is my top scorer with 8-9 i think (i'm at work so i can't check) and he's second in the assists chart with 5-6 behind Leighton Baines who has 10 or more.
